A Vintage Swap

While at Stampin' Up!'s Leadership I participated in a Vintage Swap. We were to create a full card using any current product as long as our card was vintage. I hope my creation fits the bill!!

What do you think? I really love how this one turned out!! I used the Beau Chateau DSP, Soft Suede, Very Vanilla & Pink Pirouette Card Stock, 1/2" Chantilly Crochet Triem, Vintage Trinkets, Linen Thread, Eyelet Border Punch, Distressing Tool from the Cutter Kit, French Foliage & P.S. I Love You Stamp Sets, Woodgrain Background Stamp and my Big Shot with the Serif Essentials Alphabet Bigz Dies.

Lots of distressing going on with this card. I wadded up the Pink Pirouette Card Stock and inked the edges of everything using our Sponges and the Soft Suede Classic Ink.

Vintage Cards are always fun to make but can be messy!! All that cutting on the edges going on really makes a mess but I love the look!!!

Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge #240

We have another awesome sketch challenge for all of you over at the Stamping 411 Blog. Also, you need to see our blog too!! While some of us were away at Stampin' Up!'s Leadership last week Selene was busy redesigning our blog. I just love what she did and I sure hope you all do too. Like the sketch? I know I do!!

What do you think of my creation? I actually made this card for my BFF, Robin Merriman. She loved it!!!

This card uses Beau Chateau DSP, Marina Mist & Whisper White Card Stock, Tea Shoppe Stamp Set, Whisper White 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Marina Mist 1/2" Scallop Dots Ribbon, Basic Rhinestones and Scallop Square Punch.

I just love this stamp set even though I don't drink tea or even coffee but I love a good cup of Dr. Pepper and good friends!!

A New Card Class

I had a request from my mother-in-law and one of her best friends to start a card class for them and to make sure it was for beginners. They are not interested in ordering Stampin' Up! product but LOVE making cards!! The always came to all my events so they could support me and make cards. I told them that I would create a card class for them and make it a beginners class but I needed at least 10 ladies to join. They got to work and got me a couple of their friends and I put out the word about this new class and I am happy to say we have 11 ladies signed up to do this card class once a month for 6 months.

We are going to reevaluate the class after the 6 months to see if we want to continue, change things up or keep it the same. Our first card class met on the second Wednesday of January and everyone just loved the cards and card box we made. I was really stressing about this class because I had to keep the cards very simple but likable. They said everything was awesome!!!

This card was the first card they made and they got to make 2 of them plus they got an envelope for each card. This one uses the Berry Blossoms DSP, Wisteria Wonder, Calypso Coral & Whisper White Card Stock, Wisteria Wonder 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon, 3/4" Circle & Blossom Punches, 2011-2013 In Color Designer Printed Brads and the Perfectly Penned Stamp Set.

For this first card class I ordered enough of the Stampin' Card Keepers from the Holiday Mini (before they were gone) for each lady in class. For this first card class they got to make 2 cards each of 2 designs with envelopes plus the card keeper. The remaining card classes they will get to make 2 cards each of 4 designs with envelopes. I felt they needed a box to keep all their cards in that we will be making and I wanted them to use a Stampin' Up! product. I really wish these keepers would have stuck around!! Everyone loved them and wanted to order more of them!!

All we did was put the box together and decorated the top of the box using the new Twitterpated DSP, Antique Brads, Basic Black 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon and the Big Shot with the Fun Flowers Bigz L Die.

I really kept everything simple for them and at the beginning of the class I showed them how to cut a 8 1/2" x 11" piece of card stock into two cards. I also showed them the scoring tool and how to score their cards too. They all loved class and can't wait to come again in February!!

Stampin' Queens Sketch Challenge #23

It has really been hard to get back to crafting after coming home from an awesome Stampin' Up! Leadership. I am so full of stuff I learned and have been trying to organize everything for my team meeting this Saturday that I have not even been in my stamp room yet. I know, I am shocked too!!! Thank goodness I got some of my design team stuff done before I left or I wouldn't have anything to show all of you!!!

I hope you will join us this week over at the Stampin' Queen's for this awesome sketch challenge!! I just love this sketch and I hope you like what I did with it!!

Like?? I used this sketch to create this card for not only this sketch challenge but for an organized swap I was in while at Leadership. I am part of Robin Merriman's GoDiva's swap group and this is the card I swapped and also entered into the stamping contest Stampin' Up! held at Leadership. You were able to enter a card for each stamp set in the Occasions Mini. This one was for the You're My Type and I am sad to say I did not get picked :(

This card uses the Twitterpated Designer Fabric, Riding Hood Red, Blushing Bride & Whisper White Card Stock, You're My Type Stamp Set, White Baker's Twine, Basic Rhinestones and my Big Shot with the Houndstooth Embossing Folder, 3" Circle Originals Die, Scallop Circle #2 Bigz Die & Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslits Die.

I just cut 2" strips of the fabric and attached it to the card stock using my Snail Adhesive, pleating as I went.

Desk Calendar

I am now home from Stampin' Up!'s Leadership Conference. I am so inspired and can not wait to put everything I learned and heard to work for me!! Let me know ASAP if you would love to be part of this awesome family!!

I want to share with all of you a club project we did this month. Is this desk calendar not awesome?? I love it and have one on my desk at work. It just makes me smile every time I look at it.

We used the Twitterpated DSP, Basic Gray, Whisper White, Baja Breeze & Pear Pizzazz Card Stock, Twitterpated Designer Buttons, White Baker's Twine, Blushing Bride 3/8" Pleated Satin Ribbon, Loving Thoughts Stamp Set and my Big Shot with the Elegant Bird Bigz Die.

To make the base you need a piece of card stock cut to 4 1/4" x 11", score at 5 1/2" on the 11" side then score one half of the 11" side at 2 3/4". You will need another piece of the same color card stock cut to 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" to adhere to the piece you to form the triangle. (see below)

The post-it note pad and mini calendar are attached using the Tombow Multipurpose Glue. Love that glue!!

As you are reading this I am in San Antonio, TX with several thousands of my closest friends!! I am enjoying myself at Stampin' Up!'s Leadership Conference and learning all kinds of ways to be a better leader to my team!!

I do want to share with all of you the Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge we have for all of you this week. This one was super fun and I got to play with some more brand new toys.

Here is the sketch, don't want to use it as shown just turn it on its side and you are good to go!!

That is what I did with it. I used the Twitterpated DSP, Whisper White & Blushing Bride Card Stock, Blushing Bride 3/8" Pleated Satin Ribbon, On Board Alphabet Soup, Full Heart Punch, Basic Rhinestones and my Big Shot with the Timeless Type Junior Alphabet, 3" Circle Originals Die, Fashionable Hearts Embosslits Die, Adorning Accents Edgelits Dies and the Adorning Accents Embossing Folders.

Chicken Wire Frame

Here is a Chicken Wire Frame I did for the last Craft Fair we were in. It went to a great lady for her niece for Christmas.

These make great gifts for those teenagers in your life!! The can hang them in their bedroom for all the photos they love to display or even all the jewelry they love to wear. My 15 year old has one and loves it!! Let me know if you would like one made custom for your teenager for her birthday. I ship in the US only, sorry.

Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge #238

Ready for another awesome sketch challenge from the Stamping 411? I used this sketch for my card club this month. They are actually one of my scrapbooking clubs but every other month they decided they want to do a 3-D project, a card and one layout. So for the card I used this sketch, some new products and they loved it!!

I used Whisper White & Rose Red Card Stock, Rose Red 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon, Take It to Heart & Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Sets, Glimmer Brads and my Big Shot with the Hearts Collection Framelits Dies, Adorning Accents Edgelits Dies & Adorning Accents Embossing Folder.

Magnet Calendar

I have another calendar to show all of you and a sneak peak at some Sale-A-Bration items that are coming very soon!!

Last year was the first year I had a Christmas Party with my team and we made desk calendars (my gift to all of them even if they could not come). This year I again had a wonderful Christmas Party with my team and we made these magnetic calendars. I told them that we will probably do something each year with a calendar so I am sure I will be on the lookout each year for something different!! I again sent everyone on my team a magnetic calendar in the mail if they could not make the party. So if you did not make the party watch for yours in the mail!!

I also wanted to show off some brand new products that were coming out so I used the Everyday Enchantment DSP from the SAB Mini, Soft Suede Card Stock, Everyday Enchantment Ribbon & Brad Pack from the SAB Mini, Fresh Vintage Stamp Set from the SAB Mini, Blossom Punch and my Big Shot with the Paper Doily Large Sizzlits Die.

We used a sponge and Soft Suede Classic Ink to distress everything too.

I got these calendars from a Bulk Buy Yahoo Group I am part of called Seaside Crafts. Anyone can join and you don't have to participate in all the bulk buys, just the ones you are interested in. They really work for the best prices and find items we can use in our stamping business!

I also used the scrap board that comes in our DSP packs as the backing for this calendar. Thought is would give it a little bit of support.

Here is the final layout my Scrapbooking Clubs did in December. We worked out of the Holiday Mini for all three layouts. I know, you are probably wondering how this layout uses stuff from the Holiday Mini. Well I never really understood why Stampin' Up! always puts a Valentine Stamp Set in the Holiday Mini, in the way back, because the mini ends right after the new year. Usually during the Holiday Mini time frame everyone is working on Halloween and then Christmas. There is never anytime for Valentine's Day until after the new year. With that said I wanted to show all my club gals that there is was a very pretty Valentine Stamp Set in there and that it would be gone when they decided they needed it.

Do you recognize the layout? I always say that you can draw inspiration from everywhere and if that doesn't work just CASE (copy and share w/everyone). That is what I did with this layout!! Check out page 41 of the Holiday Mini and you will recognize it. I just changed the colors, simplified it and there you have it. A nice looking easy layout. I did pull out my Color Coach for the color combo. Love that tool!!

I used Regal Rose, Daffodil Delight & Early Espresso Card Stock, Naturals White Card Stock, Scallop Border Punch, You Are Loved Stamp Set, Color Spritzer, Designer Buttons, White Baker's Twine and my Big Shot with the Blossom Party Originals Die, Serif Essentials Alphabet Bigz Dies and Billboard Sizzlits Decorative Strip Die.

Everyone in club loved learning how to Rock 'n Roll their heart stamp too. HERE is a link to a tutorial on how to do this.

I also wanted to share with all of you that I tried a brand new recipe called Chili Dog Casserole from Pinterest last night and LOVED it!! A Post Card Christmas

ere is layout #2 from last month for my Scrapbooking Clubs. I am happy to see the brand new Occasions Mini start but I am going to miss so much stuff from the Holiday Mini.

I just love the look of this DSP that was in the Holiday Mini. Don't you?

For this layout I used the Frostwood Lodge DSP, Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso & Whisper White Card Stock, Winter Post Stamp Set, Cherry Cobbler 3/8" Quilted Satin Ribbon and Modern Label, Word Window, Postage Stamp, 2 1/2" Circle & Pinking Hearts Border Punches.

I just love this stamp set!! I hope it stays around for a long long time!

**I'mmmmm Baaccckkkk!!!! I am jumping for joy that I am able to do My Crafty Picks again!!! As you may know the website "Clipmarks" (this site is used to clip pictures with a link back to the site where it came from for others to see) stopped working suddenly and for the life of me I can't find out why or fix it. I have been working on this issue for the last several weeks and was getting discouraged and even upset because I love doing these picks each Sunday!! Well anyway I was messing around on Pinterest, my new obsession, the other day and discovered that when you pin something you are given a code that you can embed into your blog. Problem solved!!! So I am back in business and will have My Crafty Picks for you each Sunday morning to enjoy and these will be coming via Pinterest.

Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge #237

Merry & Bright

Here is a layout I did with my Scrapbooking Clubs in December. I wanted to showcase all the Designer Series Papers in the Holiday Mini just one last time before they were gone.

This particular DSP is really busy (to me) so I thought I would showcase little bits of it on a layout and everyone really liked it. I even sold several packages of it because of this "trick" I did with it, little bits so not to over power the layout.

I used the Holly Berry Bouquet Specialty DSP, Real Red, Chocolate Chip & Very Vanilla Card Stock, Holly Berry Bouquet Designer Fabric, Holly Berry Bouquet Designer Buttons, Merry & Type Stamp Set, Ornament, Real Red 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Hemp Twine, Decorative Label & 1" Square Punches and my Big Shot with the Tasteful Trim xl Die & Two Tags Bigz Die.

I just love how my "tree" turned out!! I cut each of the DSP pieces to 1" and then cut each layer at a different length. The tree truck is a piece of the fabric.

I just love that Merry & Type Stamp Set.

So what do you think? My club layouts are always a little easier to put together and all measurements are considered when putting the layout together. Remember, I have to do 40 of each layout each month for all my clubs and my clubs get to do 3 12x12 layouts. I try and get the measurements to come out so I can get the most out of a pack of DSP.

Stampin' Queens Sketch Challenge #20

It is a brand new year and we have lots of great sketch challenges in store for all of you!! I hope one of your New Year's Resolutions was to join in on some awesome sketch challenges!! Well if it was or not we have another awesome sketch challenge for all of you over at the Stampin' Queens Blog.

This sketch really spoke to me when I first saw it. AND I had the perfect idea pop into my head!!

I found some of these 7x7 canvas' at the Dollar Store so I decided to use this sketch and make myself a special wall hanging. That's right, this is not a card but a wall hanging. You can use sketches for all kinds of items you want to make. A sketch is like a blue print, it is a great starting point.

AND with the release of the brand new Occasions Mini today you are going to love what you see!!

I used Twitterpated DSP, Riding Hood Red Textured Card Stock, Pear Pizzazz & Whisper White Card Stock, Pear Pizzazz 3/8" Pleated Satin Ribbon, Basic Pearls, Letter It & Calendar Alphabet & Numbers Stamp Sets, Jewelry Tag & Itty Bitty Shapes Punches, Basic Gray 1 1/4" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon and my Big Shot with the Little Leaves Sizzlits Die & Hears & Labels Collections Framelits Dies.

I just love this Letter It Stamp Set. So easy to just cut them out after stamping. Also, the established 1994 is the year Jon and I got married so we were "est 1994".

I just wrapped the ribbon around the whole canvas and tied it into a bow on the top. Very easy.

I am going to hang this in my stamp room so I can show it off to all my customers and friends. You never know, they just might want to make one too!!

Here is a picture of the backside so you can see it was a canvas before I got to work making it mine!! The picture that was on the canvas was waaaayyyyyy ugly!!!!

A Christmas Gift Card Holder

Each month I host a team meeting for my downline. For December I decided to combine our monthly meeting with our Christmas Party. We had a great time with lots of food, gifts, a project provided by me and a make'n take provided by Lori Wright.

At each month's meeting I have my downline help out so that they feel involved and it really helps me out not to have to do it all. I have sign up sheets printed out for the whole year for Sharing, Snacks, Make'n Take and Hostess for our Swap. I encourage them all to sign up for each category and no one has to do a category twice in a year.

Lori Wright had the Make'n Take Category for December so she brought this cute little Gift Card Holder for everyone to do. Too stinkin' cute!!!

She used the Christmas Lane Simply Scrappin' Kit from the Holiday Mini, Early Espresso, Soft Suede, Lucky Limeade & Cherry Cobbler Card Stock and Stocking Builder & Scallop Punches.

Is this not the cutest gift card holder? Thanks Lori for doing such an awesome make'n take. And thanks to all of my team members that took time out to come to the meeting/party. We had an awesome time!!

Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge #236

Is everyone getting back to normal after the Christmas Holiday? It is so hard to get back to normal and then have another holiday come up on you. This will be our very last Sketch Challenge from the Stamping 411Blog for 2011!! Can you believe we have another year under our belt? Here is to an awesome 2012 for everyone!!

Haven't played along with us yet? Why not make a new year's resolution to play? That sounds like a good one to me!!

I used the brand new Sweet Shop DSP, Calypso Coral & Whisper White Card Stock, the brand new Packed for Birthday a la carte stamp, the brand new Calypso Coral Baker's Twine, Pretty Postage Stamp Set, Medium Jewelry Tag Punch, Calypso Coral 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon and 2011-2013 In Color Designer Printed Brads.

I stamped this image twice. Once in Pool Party Classic Ink and then again in Calypso Coral Classic Ink. I then cut out a couple of the images in Calypso Coral and adhered them to the Pool Party image with our Stampin' Dimensionals.

My Christmas Card

Trying to recover from Christmas!! How about you?

We had a great Christmas and everyone received everything they wanted. I am sad to say this is probably the last year that someone in our household will actually "believe" in Santa. Jordan will be 10 and in fifth grade next year. She was teetering this whole holiday so I am sure she will figure it out by next year. Kind of sad to think about it, means they are all growing up way too fast!!

This was my Christmas Card I sent out this year. A little late but they went out all the same!! I used My Digital Studio to create it, printed them off at Wal-Mart and matted them onto a piece of Cherry Cobbler Card Stock. I got the little calendars through a bulk buy Yahoo group I am part of. If you want more information about this group go HERE.

My card base is 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" and I added magnets to the back side so you can hang this on your fridge all year long.

We have another great sketch for all of you from the Stamping 411 Blo g and this card I am showing you today is extra special. I made it for my oldest daughter's birthday which is today. Happy Birthday Kaitlyn!! She turned 15 today. Boy time sure does fly by fast!!

Memory Boards

Have you ever had a Memory Board? They are great for all ages and occasions and a great place for your keepsakes. I had these and others at the last Craft Fair we did. I sold most of them but have lots more fabric/boards in stock so let me know if you want one!!

I use all kinds of bases from sheet board, bulletin boards, heavy cardboard and anything else I can find to recycle. If the base is smaller I will use Stampin' Up!'s Designer Fabric but when I have the bigger bases I use fabric from different stores. I always use our ribbons and buttons though!!

The above baby one is sold but I still have some of this fabric if you need one for a baby gift. They are perfect to hang in the baby's room for keepsakes like pictures and cards.

This Memory Board just screams Christmas to me!! Perfect to hang up and display all your Christmas cards on during the season. I still have this one available so if you are interested in let me know!!

This above one was a special order. She actually gave me the bulletin board, picked out her own fabric from my stash and I put it together for her. Custom orders are always welcome!!

Stampin' Queens Sketch Challenge #18

I just love the huge center piece of this sketch!! So many possibilities.

I know it is Christmas time but I just had to pull out some of the brand new items from the up coming Occasions Mini that goes into effect Janurary 4, 2012. So exciting!! I just love new stuff to play with!!

I used the brand new Sweet Shop DSP, Calypso Coral, Pool Party & Whisper White Card Stock, the new Sweet Cake Stamp Set, Whisper White Bakers Twine and Modern Label Punch.

This stamp set comes with three different sayings. One for birthday, Valentine's Day and the one above.

Stocking Builder Punch

Here is my final layout we did in my Scrapbooking Clubs in November.

I used the Frostwood Lodge DSP, Garden Green, Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso & Whisper White Card Stock, Lace Ribbon Border, Large Oval, 2 1/2" Circle & Stocking Builder Punches, Early Espresso 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Welcome Christmas Stamp Set, Linen Thread, Clear Rhinestone Brads, Mini Jiggle Bells and my Big Shot with the Timeless Type Junior Alphabet & Two Tags Bigz Die.

I cut out a strip of DSP with the Lace Ribbon Border Punch and then cut it in half log ways. After doing that I then threaded the ribbon. Kind of a different look.

I just love these stockings hanging from the faux mantle, don't you?

So what do you think? Everyone at club just loved this months layouts!!

Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge #234

Just wanted to let you all know that I had to step back from Stamping 411 last week but I am back this week with another new sketch challenge!! I just love this bunch of gals, when things are pretty crazy we know we can step back, take a break and they have your back. Thanks 411 ladies!!

What a great sketch and I have a special occasion I used it for too.

My youngest nephew, David, just had a birthday and I needed a card for him. Boy/Guy cards are not my specialty but I knew no matter what I made him he would LOVE the gift!! heheheh!!
And he did!!

Just look at him!! Is he not the cutest kid ever?? And don't you just love his cake? My niece, his sister, made it for him. Hanna did an awesome job on that cake!!

So what do you think of his card I made him? I really do like how it turned out!! I used Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black and Baja Breeze Card Stock, Basic Black 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon, Silver Mini Brads, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, Scallop Border Punch, Need for Speed & Bring On the Cake Stamp Sets and my Big Shot with the Houndstooth Embossing Folder.

David really did like his card but he loved his present even more!! I wrapped up $25 in all ones all wadded up in a box. When he opened it his eyes got really big!!

Castle Band Craft Fair

We had our last Craft Fair of the year two weeks ago and it was by far the best one we had all year long!! And this one was the only one we did with our awesome set up too!! My husband finally made me the tri-fold chicken wire stand to hang our stuff on after I complained so much about our peg board display we were using. I also found this ladder display at one of my friends store and talked her into selling it to me. I LOVE IT!!!!!

We also do Dry Erase Boards. These are perfect for the kitchen to write down your grocery list as you run out of items for for phone messages. Can you see it?? It is Santa's Suit!! This was one of the layouts that my Scrapbooking Clubs got to make last month. I got the idea from THIS CARD I made for the Stampin' Up! Regional that came to Louisville, KY. I thought, how about doing this idea as a layout AND I love how it turned out!!! What do you think??

I used Real Red, Basic Black & Whisper White Card Stock, Silver Glimmer Paper, Hand-Penned Holidays Stamp Set, Jolly Jingles Jumbo Roller, Whisper White 5/8" Jumbo Brads and my Big Shot with the Scallop Squares Duo Bigz Dies.

So what do you think of that huge silver belt buckle?? Love it!!

The tearing of the card stock is to represent Santa's fur on his coat.

Merry Shadow Box

Here is another one of my Shadow Boxes I made for our last Craft Fair. I just love how this one turned out and who wouldn't love to have this on display during the holiday season?

These shadow boxes make the perfect gift too!! I used some retired DSP and ribbon on this one but did use the current Merry Trees Decor Elements in Small color Real Red and the Micro Flakes that are in the Holiday Mini.

I just love the added touch with the ribbon on the outside of the box. What do you think?

Jingle all the Way Shadow Box

Look at this fun Shadow Box I made for the last Craft Fair we were in last weekend. I only had one of these larger Jingle all the Way Decor Elements on hand so I grabbed a Shadow Box and went to town.

What do you think? I really like how it turned out and it SOLD at the Craft Fair, so that makes me happy!!

I used some retired DSP and Ribbon on this Shadow Box too. The ornaments I got from Michael's and actually hot glued them into place inside the Shadow Box. I did not what them moving around in case they broke inside the frame.

I used the Brights Glitter Brads for the middle of my bow. I cut off the "legs" and hot glued it on to the bow. Worked like a charm!!

Punch Art Pencil Goodies

I found these cute little punch art pencil goodies on Jennie M's Stampin Spot Blog and also showcased them on My Crafty Picks. Are they not the cutest things ever!!??

I actually made them to show off at a recent Workshop I had. I made the Reindeer one to show them all how easy they were to make and gave out one of them as the door prize. Everyone loved them and I sold lots of the bags that night!!

Snowman uses the Word Window and Curly Label Punches.

Santa uses the Ornament, Extra-Large Oval, Large Oval, Owl Builder and 5-Petal Flower Punches.

Rudolph uses the Stocking, Snowflake and Owl Builder Punches.

These make the perfect gift for all the kids at Christmas. You can get the pencils in a pack of 12 at the Dollar Tree for a buck. And the kids love helping you put these together too!!

Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge #232

Super busy again this week getting ready for our last Craft Fair of the season and it is suppose to be a dosey!!! We have not done this one before nor have I been to it but from all the word of mouth I have heard about it it is a HUGE Craft Fair. We will be Newburgh, IN for the Castle Band Craft Fair. If you are in the area please stop by!! We will be in the Library and would love to see you!!

For now I have a Sketch Challenge for all of you from the Stamping 411 Blog and this time I used our sketch for a 3-D item. It is actually an item I will have at our booth this weekend for sale.

I love making these 4x6 picture frames all decorated for you to just pop in a picture. This one is ready for a Christmas picture and would be perfect for that shot with Santa.

I used the Letters to Santa DSP, Letters to Santa Quick Accents, Old Olive Card Stock, Cherry Cobbler 3/8" Quilted Satin Ribbon, Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine and Mini Jingle Bells.

I did use a hot glue gun to glue down the ends of my ribbon. You just slide the back off to get your picture inside.

Message Center

So what do you think of my message center?? I found something similar on Pinterest and just had to re-create it!! I am totally addicted to this site and if you have not yet checked it out, you need to head on over there. Make sure you follow me too!! Just click on my button on my left hand side of my blog.

I started with a cookie sheet from the Dollar Tree and yup, it was only a $. Pulled out all my retired paper, corduroy buttons and ribbon. Also, you will need a small empty can, I used a soup can.

These flowers were cut with a retired Big Shot Flower Die and I also used thick cardboard that comes in the packs of paper for our Specialty DSP.

So what do you think? Like it? Do you think they will sell at our Craft Fair this weekend? I love how it turned out but don't want to make too many of these if they don't sell but then again I don't want to make only a few and sell out. Oh the dilemma!!

Baby Boy Memory Board

Can this picture be any worse?? I really need to make a permanent place to take my pictures and big enough for those bigger projects that I make from time to time. Any suggestions?? I can use any help you can offer!!

This is a Memory Board I made for my niece's baby shower last week. She is having a baby boy in January and these are the colors of her nursery. I love how it turned out and so did she!! I made this for her to hang in the nursery and put special pictures on.

I purchased the fabric at Wal-Mart, used some now retired Bashful Blue Ribbon and Chocolate Chip Corduroy Buttons.

Do you recognize the tag? I just copied it from page 88 of the Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog. Love it when all the thinking is done for me!! This tag uses Bashful Blue & Whisper White Card Stock, the Fox & Friends & Sweetly Said Stamp Sets, the Dot, Dot, Dot Single Stamp, Natural Hemp Twine and my Big Shot with the Perfect Pennants Bigz L Die.

Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge #231

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving spent with loved ones. We sure did!! AND scored lots of great deals on Black Friday. My Christmas shopping is almost done now. I just have some gifts I want to make and then I will be done. How about you??

Well if you are thinking about giving handmade cards as Christmas gifts here is a great sketch for all of you to try from the Stamping 411 Blog.

I actually needed a swap card for my team's monthly swap so I decided to combine the two and this is what I came up with. Our theme this month was Sympathy/Thinking of You Cards.

For my card I used the Just Add Cake DSP, So Saffron & Wild Wasabi Card Stock, Watercolor Paper, Word Window & Morden Label Punches, Basic Rhinestones, So Saffron 3/8 Taffeta Ribbon, Linen Thread, Lean on Me Stamp Set and a Blender Pen.

I am not too good at watercoloring, but I like how these turned out.

Stampin' Queens Sketch Challenge #14

I just love sketches and we have a great one for you over at the Stampin' Queens Sketch Challenge Blog. After taking a look at what I did with this sketch make sure to head on over to the Stampin' Queens Blog to check out what the other Queens did with this same sketch!!

Love all the layers since I just LOVE to layer my card stock!!

I needed a baby card for my niece's baby shower and her husband's family are really big John Deere people especially since they own a John Deere Dealership. So I went with the color scheme with a baby truck. I think it turned out too stinkin' cute!!!

I used Garden Green, So Saffron & Whisper White Card Stock, Garden Green 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon, I Dig You & Petite Pairs Stamp Sets, Modern Label Punch and my Big Shot with the Houndstooth Embossing Folder.

I stamped the truck a second time with Early Espresso Classic Ink and cut out the wheels of the truck. I attached them with our Stampin' Dimensionals.

So what do you think? Perfect for a baby boy whose family loves John Deere don't you think? Well my niece loved the card!!

Joy Card

I had a workshop last week with lots of new stampers. Actually none of them have ever stamped before (except the hostess) so I wanted to do a very easy but striking make'n take.

So what do you think? Easy but striking? They all loved it!!

We used Whisper White & Basic Grey Card Stock, Red Glimmer Paper and the stamp set called The Sounding Joy.

Now that is what I call easy!! I do love it too!! I just might have to use this card for my Christmas Cards if I don't get my act together and get something done. How about you? Got all your Christmas Cards done?
