Lonely Without You

This is yet another card I created months ago and just found it. That is what happens when your stamp room is unorganized and messy!! hehehe

I found this CARD on Pinterest one day and immediately fell in love with it. When I looked closer I realized it was created by my BFF, Robin Merriman. I just love her and her crafting style!!

I recreated it, changing some things but I totally LOVE hers!!

I used Crumb Cake, Cheery Cobbler & Very Vanilla Card Stock, Cherry Cobbler 1 1/4" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, Very Vanilla 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon, Small Heart Punch, Antique Brads, Hello, Doily Background Stamp, Have a Seat Stamp Set and my Big Shot with the Labels Collection Framelits.

I really miss that stamp set!! I was so sweet and simple!!

Maybe I will have newer stuff to post for you tomorrow. That is if I can get pictures taken, edited and then uploaded.

Have a great day!!

Card Class Cards

Can I be anymore unorganized?? I just found these cards from my Beginners Card Class that we did back during Sale-A-Bration. I am really thinking an assistant would be a good thing!!

I know most of this stuff I am going to show you is now retired but you can still get great ideas and change out the retired product. And as always I found some of my inspiration on Pinterest.

Follow Me on Pinterest

I just loved this card!! We used Crumb Cake & Whisper White Card stock, Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine, Hello, Doily Background Stamp and my Big Shot with the Designer Frames Embossing Folder. The stamp set was one of the Sale-A-Bration sets you could earn for FREE with a $50 order.

This card was a fun one to make. I showed off the Big Shot really well. We used Sahara Sand, Pool Party, Calpso Coral, Lucky Limeade, Wisteria Wonder, Island Indigo & Whisper White Card Stock and my Big Shot with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder. The stamp set is another one from Sale-A-Bration.

Tips and Tricks: We adhered our colored card stock stripes to the Whisper White card stock and then ran it through the Big Shot using the Square Lattice Embossing Folder. After doing that adhere it to your card.

This card uses Soft Suede, Peach Parfait & Very Vanilla Card Stock, Apothecary art & Loving Thoughts Stamp Sets and my Big Shot with the Labels Collections Framelits. This time we used the Sale-A-Bration Designer Series Paper and Ribbon.

This card uses Real Red & Whisper White Card Stock, Real Red 5/8" Satin Ribbon, Curly Label Punch, Basic Rhinestones and my Big Shot with the Adorning Accents Edgelits. Once again we used another stamp set from Sale-A-Bration.

Sorry for posting these so late but like I said I am so unorganized!! I need to get a lot better!!

Have a great day!!

It's 5 O'Clock Somewhere

While at Convention this past July I was also involved in  a 3D swap with the Go Diva Swap Group I am part of. I just love making and getting 3D swaps but they are hard to travel with!!

I do need to thank Kay Kalthoff. She sent me pictures of my swap since I only made enough to swap with (minus myself) and did not get a chance to photograph my swap before I left for Convention. She photographed my swap for me and sent me the pictures today so I could share this project with you all. Thanks Kay!!

I used Brights Collection Paper Stacks DSP, Gumball Green & Whisper White Card Stock, Gumball Green 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon, Happy Hour Stamp Set and my Big Shot with the Chevron Embossing Folder, Delicate Doilies Sizzlits L & Petite Pocket Bigz XL. Also used the Crystal Light Martini Mix.

Tips and Tricks: I just love Apple Martinis so that is what I had in mind when I was stamping the Martini Glass image from this stamp set. I took the fruit wedge image and colored the outside of the fruit with Melon Mambo Marker (since this is the DSP color I went with) and the inside of the fruit with the Blush Blossom Marker. Thought this resembled an apple wedge. What do you think??

Have a great day!!

Warmest Wishes

I joined a new swap group the meets at Stampin' Up!'s Convention each year and run by the ubber talented and awesome Lisa Zwolanek. This swap was well organized and full of awesome swaps!! Can't wait to do it again next year, if she will have me!!

This is the card I made for her swap. I did actually change the swap up a bit after making my initial sample. I will explain what I added after I give you the recipe for this card.

I used the Comfort Cafe DSP, Soft Suede, Summer Starfruit, Midnight Muse & Very Vanilla Card Stock, Linen Thread, Naturals Designer Buttons, Scallop Border Punch, Blooming with Kindness Stamp Set and my Big Shot with the Labels Collection Framelits.

What I added was another layer of Soft Suede Card Stock cut at 4" x 5 1/4", run through my Big Shot with the Chevron Embossing Folder and attached to the Soft Suede card . Everything else was attached on top of this extra piece of card stock. Really made the card look nicer!!

Tips and Tricks: To get the ruffled behind the focal image I took 3/4" x 12" strips of Summer Starfruit card stock, scalloped it with the Scallop Border Punch, distressed it with the Bone Folder and actually pulled the two layers apart. This gives the look of suede and I love it!! I just attache this to the back side of the Very Vanilla card stock with snail gathering/pleating as I go.

Tips and Tricks: For the flower focal point I first stamped it in Soft Suede Ink on to the Very Vanilla card stock and then using a Sponge Dauber I rubbed Summer Starfruit Ink on to the flower starting in the middle and going outward. Cool effect!!

I really hope Lyssa and the rest of the ladies liked my swap card and that I get to join them next year at Convention!!

Have a great day!!

Cheers!

I created this card for my monthly card swap I do with my team members. Kelly Birrell was our Card Swap Hostess last month and she wanted us to use the Big Shot with a new In Color.

I don't drink much but this brand new stamp set called Happy Hour is becoming one of my favorites!! So much fun to create with!!

This card uses Brights Collection DSP Paper Stacks, Gumball Green & Whisper White Card Stock, Decorative Label & Scallop Border Punches, Melon Mambo 1/2" Scallop Dots Ribbon, Happy Hour Stamp Set and my Big Shot with the Delicate Doilies Sizzliets Large & Chevron Embossing Folder.

I just love the piece of fruit wedge stamp image in this set. You can ink it up in different colors to create different kinds of fruit.

Tips and Tricks: Color your fruit wedge stamp image
Green for a Lime
Yellow for a Lemon
Orange for an Orange
Red & Blush Blossom for an Apple

I also wanted to thank everyone for your kind words you either sent me or left on my blog post HERE yesterday about my friends passing. It means the world to me and I know she is resting in peace.

Have a great day!!
