AND some Stampin' Up! Convention Highlights. All these pictures where taken on Wednesday, bag pick-up day. We can head on over to the Convention Center on this day to pick up our lovely new bag, shop at Momental Mall, take a bus to the home office for a tour, visit the awards booth and of course catch up with all our stampin' friends.
Here is Robin and myself getting our first of hundreds of pictures. I believe we have taken a picture like this from the very first time we meet each other, on my very first trip to Founder's Circle in 2008.
I actually found the very first picture we took like this:
Boy have we changed!!! You can view more pictures from my very first Founder's Circle Trip
HERE.
More awesome ladies we just LOVE!!! Here we are pictured with Susie Wood.
And Kimberly Van Diepen.
This picture was taken at the home office. They have this building decorated so stinkin' awesome!!!
Then we did some swapping. Robin organizes a swap group called Go Divas and we do an organized swap at all the Stampin' Up! Events and some mail in swapping too. I just loved all the 3D items I got in that swap and our card swap was awesome too!!
Here I am pictured with the ubberly talented Diana Gibbs and great friend!! Love her!!
This is a picture of the ladies that swapped with us at Convention. Robin hand selects these ladies, keeps a Yahoo Group for us and only allows no more then 30 ladies to swap in any given swap. That way we always know that we will not have to do more then 30 swaps at one time.
Now on to some crafty goodness:
This was one of the cards I did recently in my Heat Embossing Class. I wanted to show them that they can heat emboss on other items besides just card stock. This card uses Whisper White & Basic Black Card Stock, Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set, White Bakers Twine, Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons, Lucky Limeade 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon, Paper Daisies, Tangerine Tango & Melon Mambo Stampin' Emboss Powder, Heat Gun and my Big Shot with the Finishing Touches Edgelits & Chevron Embossing Folder.
What I did was rub the tips of the flowers on to my VersaMark Ink Pad, dipped the tips into the colored embossing powder and then heat set them with the heat gun.
I hope you enjoyed a small look at Convention and a twist on Heat Embossing.
Have a great day!!
