So Grateful

I was in a panic last week trying to get stuff together for a workshop. I had all my projects planned but just could not come up with a make'n take that I liked that showcased Sale-A-Bration items and the new Framelit Dies that are in the Occasions Mini. So what did I do?? I started flipping through the Occasions Mini and there on page 25 the card in the top right hand side of the page jumped at me. All I did was change the colors/DSP and I had my make'n take all planned out.

AND the ladies at the workshop LOVED the card!!! I sold them on the new Framelit Dies, the SAB DSP and the SAB Brads!! I even sold them on the Border Punch too!! Love it when that happens!!

I used the SAB Everyday Enchantment DSP, Calypso Coral, Pool Party & Whisper White Card Stock, SAB Everyday Enchantment Brads, Apothecary Art Stamp Set, Blender Pen, Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch and my Big Shot with the Labels Collection Framelits Dies.

They just loved learning how I colored this image too. We used the Blender Pen with the ink pads to watercolor the flowers and leafs. Take your Classic Ink Pad, squeeze a couple of times and when you open your stamp pad you have an ink pallet on the inside lid. Using your Blender Pen just "scribble" on the lid to pick up some ink and color away!!

So when you are stuck creativity just start flipping through your Stampin' Up! Catalogs and/or Minis. Inspiration will always strike!!

Have a great day!!

Happy Birthday CAS

This is one of the cards my new Card Class did in January. Most of the ladies in this class are new to crafting and want the cards to be simple. AND I want them to be simple but nice looking.

What do you think? Everyone at class loved this card!! We used the Twitterpated DSP, Whisper White Card Stock, Bordering on Romance Stamp Set, Basic Black Marker and Riding Hood Red 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon.

Everyone in class was a little scared to just free hand their lines but after some coaching from me they all tried their hand at it.

If you are wanting to learn how to make simple but beautiful cards just contact me. I will be putting together another Card Class starting with the new Stampin' Up! Catalog that comes out June 1st.

Have a great day!!

Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge #244

Ready for another sketch challenge from the Stamping 411 Operators? We have another awesome one for all of you!!

When I saw this sketch my mind immediately jumped to our new interactive maze games we have in the Occasions Mini. I have been itching to play with these!!

For my card I used the Twitterpated DSP, Basic Gray, Pear Pizzazz & Whisper White Card Stock, Basic Grey 5/8" Satin Ribbon, 2 1/2" Circle & Scallop Border Punches, Basic Rhinestones, Maze Game, Totally A-maze-ing Stamp Set, Paper Piercer and my Big Shot with the Scallop Circle #2 Bigz Die.

These games are so easy to decorate using this corresponding stamp set. Just stamp your image, punch out with the 2 1/2" Circle Punch, pop the back off the game and insert your image. That simple!!

The banner was stamped using one of the sayings from this stamp set and adhered to the front of the game piece and behind the ribbon.

So what do you think? Think you might give these Maze Games a try? I sure hope you try them out!! Lots of fun!!!

Now head on over to the Stamping 411 Blog to check out the other Operator's cards. Leave us some love to let us know you have stopped by!!

Have a great day!!

Happy Birthday Kaitlyn

The last layout my Scrapbooking Clubs did in January. This is the third Designer Series Paper that came out in the Occasions Mini. If you remember this POST and this POST, I used each new DSP from the Occasions Mini in January's Scrapbooking Clubs. I wanted to introduce them to all the new yumminess that was brand new!!

I used the Sweet Shop Specialty DSP, Whisper White, Pool Party & Calypso Coral Card Stock, Pool Party Baker's Twine, Sweet Cake Stamp Set, 1/2" Circle, Small Heart & Pinking Heart Border Punches and my Big Shot with the Tasteful Trim xl Die & Timeless Type Junior Alphabet.

This stamp set is just too cute and perfect for those birthday pictures you need to scrapbook!! It is a big enough and bold image that it is easy to cut out too. I did let my club members choose which new Baker's Twine color they wanted to use since all colors are in this DSP.

I really have a hard time when I am going through my older pictures to scrapbook them. They are from the age of film and now with the digital age I believe I am SPOILED. Now we have the ability to take lots more pictures and delete the ones we don't like right away. Back in the film age you just took the picture and moved on not thinking about how it would turn out or if you had enough different shots to scrapbook. These pictures were of my oldest daughters, Kaitlyn, birthday while she was in kindergarten. There were not that many good pictures to choose from so I had a hard time coming up with a layout for her. Can you relate??

Have a great day!!

Stampin' Queen's Sketch Challenge #27

We have another awesome sketch for all of you from the Stampin' Queens Sketch Blog. Not heard of us yet?? Well take a look at our sketch, what I created using this sketch and then head on over to our blog to check us out.

I needed a birthday card last week for my Great Aunt's birthday, she turned 90!! And she doesn't look or act like a day over 50. She is so pretty and just a lovely lady to be around!!

I wanted to make her a fun and interactive card so I pulled out the Take a Spin Stamp Set with the Spinners. I thought she would get a kick out of this card!!

To get my color combination I pulled out our Color Coach, love that thing!! I went with Marina Mist, Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake & Whisper White Card Stock, Marina Mist 1/2" Scallop Dots Ribbon, Distressing Tool from the Cutter Kit, Color Spritzer and my Big Shot with the Stripes Embossing Folder (which you can get FREE right now during Sale-A-Bration, contact me today to find out how).

To get this little tag I just inked up a small part of the big stamp and stamped on some Whisper White Card Stock. I then just cut it out and attached it to the backside of the Marina Mist piece of Card Stock.

I am sure my Great Aunt loved this card!! She lives in Ohio so I had to mail it to her.

Happy Birthday Great Aunt Wanda!!!

Now head on over to the Stampin' Queen's Sketch Blog to check out with the other Queen's did with this same sketch. While you are there you might as well play along with us!!

Have a great day!!!

Valentine Bag

At our team meetings each month we always have a make'n take. These make'n takes are done by different members of my team depending on what month that person signs up for.

At our January Team Meeting Angela Hoagland was our make'n take lady. She brought all the supplies to the meeting for all of us to make these lovely Valentine Bags. Are they not the cutest bags!!??!!

She used all current material from the Occasions Mini and found the white lunch bags at Wal-Mart.

These bags are so easy to create and can be decorated for any occasion. Perfect for that little something you want to give someone!!

Thanks Angela for inspiring all of us!!!

Have a great day!!
