Here is a layout I did for a class I offered on using the VersaMarker. I held the class and the next month Stampin' Up! announced that they were going to retire this item. I was rather bummed with that news!! Well anyway everyone that took the class just loved all the projects we did and loved learning how to use this overlooked item.
This layout used the Color Coach for the color combo I put together. I used Bravo Burgundy, Pink Pirouette & Sahara Sand Card Stock, First Edition Specialty DSP, P.S. I Love You Stamp Set, Mat Pack, VersaMarker, Designer Buttons, Linen Thread, Vintage Trinkets, Full Heart Punch and my Big Shot with the Lots of Love Letterpress Plate, Labels Collection Framelits & Tasteful Trim xl Die.
The picture does not do this layout justice!!! It looks amazing in person!! First we punched four hearts out of the DSP using the Full Heart Punch, layered them on top of each other and insert the safety pin from the Vintage Trinkets to hold all layers together. Just glue down the bottom layer and "fluff" the other layers.
Using the Big Shot and the Lots of Love Letterpress Plate I colored the bit "Love" using the VersaMarker then ran it through the Big Shot. The Letterpress Plate embosses the card stock and the VersaMarker makes the word appear darker.
We also used the VersaMarker with the paper-piercing template from the Mat Pack to make these dots at the corner of this picture. This was a fun added accent to our layout.
This picture was taken while Jon and I were on our first Incentive Trip with Stampin' Up! We got to go to Hawaii!!! WOW!!!
Have a great day!!
