Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge #201

We have now had one day this whole week without rain and that makes me happy!!! The sun has been shining all day. Here in Southern Indiana we have been dealing with flash flood warnings and lots of our roads have been closed due to all this rain we have had. So I am pretty stoked to have the sun out all day today!! And here is some other goods news, over on the Stamping 411 Blog we have another awesome sketch for all of you!!

So what do you think? Awesome huh??

Here is what I came up with. I wanted to showcase a brand new stamp set from the upcoming Summer Mini and decided on a guy card. Guy cards are not my thing, I struggle with them. So please go easy on me!!!

I used the Woodland Walk DSP, Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip, Wild Wasabi & Very Vanilla Card Stock, Natural Hemp Twine, Neutral Brads, Color Spritzer and the Best Dad Ever Stamp Set.

Time for the BIG Reveal

and Blog Candy winner announced!!

Here is the card I posted last week on this Blog Post. The Operators over at the Stamping 411 Blog played a game where we asked all of you and ourselves to guess whose card we posted for last weeks Sketch Challenge. Well now is the time for the Big Reveal!!!! This card above was made by the talented Kerin Sylvester and lots of you did guess Kerin but a lot more of you guessed Lee Conrey. This is actually one card I got correct (I only got 4 out of the 7 cards and that includes my own card!!). Here is the card I actually made!! This year I actually fooled all the Operators (except Selene since everyone thought she was the one that made this card!! And lots of you guys out there too!!). Last year when we did this EVERYONE guessed my card right off the bat!!

I won't bore you all with the recipe for this card (if you want it just email me) but I do want to say that this card was put together using the awesome Stampin' Up! Color Coach!!! Love that thing!! AND I did use a brand new stamp set that will be in the upcoming Summer Mini called Recess.

I Am Blessed...

to call you Mother.

This is a layout that my Scrapbooking Clubs got to do this month, April. I wanted to touch base with all kinds of awesome stuff in the Occasions Mini before it was gone. On this layout I wanted to show them how they can do a scrapbook layout all about their mother or a layout about themselves and their children. It is a very simple layout but it packs a great big punch!!

I used the Springtime Vintage DSP, Crumb Cake, Not Quite Navy, Rose Red & Whisper White Card Stock, Blessed Mother Stamp Set, Springtime Vintage Big Designer Buttons, Natural Hemp Twine, Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border & Decorative Label Punches and my Big Shot with the Circles #2 Originals Die & Scallop Circle #2 Bigz Die.

So what do you think? I just love this stamp set and am sure I will use it lots more!!
