Last month I had my very first Step Up Scrapbooking Class and it was a BIG hit!! I had had some requests for a class where you get to do more techniques and use more items on your layouts so I decided to do a Step Up Scrapbooking Class every couple of months. These kinds of classes have limited seats due to the fact that the layouts are more involved and I offer them two times during the month, one evening class and one Saturday class. This class they got to do 3 very involved layouts for $15 and everyone loved the layouts!! Just wait for the next one, I am planning it now and you will not want to miss this one!!
This layout I am sharing with all of you today is one of the three layouts they got to do in class. This layout uses the Botanical Gazette DSP, Not Quite Navy, Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso & Very Vanilla Card Stock, Bliss & Notably Ornate Stamp Sets, Sanded Background Stamp, Very Vanilla 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Natural Hemp Twine, Regals Designer Buttons, Spiral Border, 1" Circle, 1 1/4" Circle, 1 3/8" Circle & 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punches, Color Spritzer, Distressing Tool from the Cutter Kit and my Big Shot with the Tasteful Trim Bigz xl Die, Two Tags Bigz Die & Little Leaves Sizzlits Die.

I showed them this ribbon treatment that
Shelli Gardner showed us at Leadership and the Natural Hemp Twine treatment that
Kimberly Van Diepen showed me at Founder's Circle.

We did alot of distressing on this layout with stamps (Sanded Background Stamp), Distressing Tool, tearing and just crumpling up card stock.

I showed them how to make faux suede using card stock, water and my heat gun. We punched the scallop circle out, sprayed it with water front and back, crumpled it up really good, uncrumpled it and dried it with the heat gun. Very cool!!! They also did alot of coloring with our markers on the stamps. This layout was just jammed packed full with lots of different elements and they all loved it!!!
Have a great day!!
