Here is the sketch for all of you to try. Pretty straight forward don'tcha think??
Well for some it would be but for me I felt a little grungy so I went with the shabby chic look. What do you think? I am in love with this brand new designer series paper called Beau Chateau and this stamp set called Established Elegance. Love love love them both and I am sure you will be seeing these being used a lot this year!!
I also used Soft Suede, Pink Pirouette & Very Vanilla Card Stock, Marina Mist 1 1/4" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, Vintage Trinkets, Victoria 5/8" Crochet Trim, Hostess Stamp Set called Tagtastic, Distressing Tool from the Cutter Kit and my Big Shot with the Houndstooth & Designer Frames Embossing Folders.
I first ran the DSP piece through the Big Shot using the Houndstooth Embossing Folder, distressed the edges with the Distressing Tool from the Cutter Kit, crumpled up the DSP and then using a sponge I sponged Soft Suede Classic Ink all over. I also ran a piece of DSP through the Big Shot using the Oval Designer Frames Embossing Folder, torn it out, stamped, crumpled it up and then using the same sponge I sponged it too. I pretty well sponged everything!!
I applied both ribbons to the card using Sticky Strip. Just crumple as you go and fray your ends. I did run my sponge over the ribbon too!!
Lots going on with this card!! But I do LOVE how it turned out!! Now head on over to the Stamping 411 Blog to check out the other Operator's cards and while you are there you might as well play along!
Have a great day!!
