Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge #210

Today is a super super exciting day!! If you didn't already know today is the start of another Stampin' Up! year with the release of the brand new catalog!! Have you placed your first order yet?

Another reason today is a super exciting day is it is time for another Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge!! I know, you all love this day!! :)

And the last reason this is another super exciting day is that we, Stamping 411 Blog, have a guest designer this month, Denise Willerton. Welcome Denise!!

I just heart this sketch!! Straight forward and that is where I went with it!!

How do you like? I wanted to play with some new items and that is what I did! What I did first was pull out my Color Coach with the new In Color Cards added and decided to explore these new ones. I finally decided on the Calypso Coral card and it gave me this color combo: Calypso Coral, Baja Breeze & Daffodil Delight. I tell ya, the colors that they show usually make me question the person that puts this together but then when I am all done I realize he/she is a very very smart person!! If you don't have this tool you need to run not walk to your Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and order one NOW!!

I also used the Love & Caring Hostess Stamp Set in the Summer Mini, Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set, White Baker's Twine, Basic Pearls, Color Spritzer and my Big Shot with the Tasteful Trim Bigz xl Die & the Fancy Fan Letterpress Plate.

I have not used the Letterpress Plates that often so when I go to use one I always forget the "sandwich" that goes through the Big Shot. I inked up my Fancy Fan Letterpress Plate with Daffodil Delight Craft Ink, placed my Whisper White Card Stock on top and put it through the Big Shot with tab one open and one Standard Cutting Pad. When I took the Whisper White Card Stock off the letterpress plate I knew instantly that I was suppose to use no tabs!! I was bummed until I realized that this would work anyway because of the stamp set I wanted to use:) What do you think??

For my image above I just inked the flower using two colors and stamped the image full force. I then stamped it again twice without re-inking it. Awesome!!

Now head on over to the Stamping 411 Blog to check out the other Operators Cards. While you are there play along with us. We love seeing what everyone comes up with using our sketches.

Have a great day!!
