What a long busy week I have had!! So happy it is the weekend but then again I have a full fun packed weekend too!! Oh well, it is the good kind of a full weekend!!! I have Club tonight, my Team Meeting tomorrow morning followed by my Step It Up Scrapbooking Class which is FULL, a Stampin' Up! Workshop tomorrow night and then on Sunday one of my team members, Kelly Birrell, is having her very first Open House and I want to be there to support her. I also need to work in some time this weekend to work on items for an upcoming Craft Fair too. Busy enough?? Oh and I have a Stamping 411 Sketch to share with all of you too.
So what do you think of our brand new sketch this weekend? I enjoy working with all our sketches and this one is no exception!! I sure hope you will join us this week!!
So do you like my interpretation? I knew right away when I saw the cupcake that I wanted to make one of these fun flowers actually using the Big Shot Bigz L Die called Fun Flowers!!I started with Very Vanilla Card Stock, Pretty in Pink 1 1/4" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, Modern Label Punch, Neutral Designer Buttons, Basic Pearls, A Word for You Stamp Set, Sponge Daubers and my Big Shot using the Elegant Lines Embossing Folder & the Fun Flowers Bigz L Die.
Using a Sponge Dauber and Pretty in Pink Classic Ink I sponged the edges of my flower petals. I then used my Bone Folder to curl the petals (but not too much). I then glued all the layers together and mounted on to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
And how about this ribbon!!?? I took the end of the ribbon and pulled on one of the theards in the middle and just kept pulling. I layed down a strip of Sticky Strip onto the card so I could get the ribbon to lay just right without coming unraveled. I really love how this card turned out!! Tiffany I have been eyeing this die for a couple of weeks now, wishing I had bought it, but girl...you just pushed me over the edge, now I have to have it!!! I have got to try your crinkled ribbon too, WOW this is stunning!!
I love the pleated ribbon on that big thick yummy ribbon candy looking ribbon! I'm loving all the dimension you were able to get with that gorgeous flower die with the soft sponging.. This is so sharp!
I know you're not going to believe this but I have not even thought to do this flower in white!! This is gorgeous and I'll be casing it for sure. Thanks for the inspiration in WHITE!!!
