Stamping 411-Sketch Challenge #185

Can you believe we are already saying goodbye to our very first week of 2011? Time really does fly by so make sure you are enjoying and living life to the fullest!! And what can be more enjoyable then stamping? Well we have a brand new Sketch Challenge for all of you over at the Stamping 411 Blog and it is a beauty!!
Just look at this wide open sketch!! So many possibilities so little time!! But you can play with this sketch and enter over at the Stamping 411 Blog as many times as you like, there is no limit!!

Just look at what I came up with!! I am having so much fun playing with all this brand new stuff out of the Occasions Mini!! Have you seen the mini yet? If not click HERE and download it for yourself.

This card uses the Botanical Gazette DSP, Early Espresso, Old Olive & Very Vanilla Card Stock, Old Olive 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Basic Pearls, Decorative Label Punch, Bring On the Cake & Season of Friendship Stamp Sets, the Distressing Tool from the Cutter Kit, Sanding Block, Sponge Daubers, Sticky Strip and the Big Shot with the Sweet Buttons Embosslit.

I stamped the tree onto Very Vanilla Card Stock and hand cut it out. I did not adhere the branches down so I could have a 3D effect going on. AND who doesn't want a BUTTON tree in their backyard?? I know you all might just want a money tree but I would love to see a button tree too!!!! I LOVE BUTTONS!!!!

And you are probably wondering how I did this 1/8" ribbon right?? This trick works best with regular sized ribbon but I did not have a enough room for any bigger ribbon so I decided to use the 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon. I took the Sticky Strip and folded it in half long ways and then put it down on my card. I then started on one edge of my card and just started pleating. Worked awesomely!!!
Now head on over to the Stamping 411 Blog to check out the other Operators cards. I am sure they all did a wonderful job on their cards too!!
Have a great day!!

I love this card, Tiffany! I was just thinking this weekend, that the button embosslits would work perfectly with the tree from Season of Friendship, but haven't made my card yet. I love the patterned paper background...
