Holiday Planner

Christmas is fast approaching and I have a project for all of you to help keep you organized this holiday!! How about creating a Holiday Planner? This way you can keep everything in one spot!!

This planner is made with just a regular school folder I picked up at Staples last year on clearance. I used the Jolly Holiday DSP, Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Whisper White & Early Espresso Card Stock, Old Olive 5/8" Satin Ribbon, Contempo Christmas Stamp Set and my Big Shot with the Northern Frost Decorative Strip.

I did print the Holiday Planner out on Whisper White Card Stock using my computer and printer. After cropping it to size I stamped the tree image from the Contempo Christmas Stamp Set using my markers.

I found this website called Organized Christmas that you can print off different kinds of things to make organizers. It is pretty cool!!! I am going to make up several of these to sell at my upcoming Christmas Bazaar. I hope they are snatched up quickly!!!

Have a great day!!

Stamping 411-Sketch Challenge #179

How was your Thanksgiving Day? Ours was great except for the rain we had all day long!! I know we really need the rain here in Southern Indiana but do we really need it to rain all day long non-stop on a day where we have to be out visiting family? Well other than the rain we did have a great day spent with family and friends with two great meals!!
Now that it is Friday I have another Stamping 411 Sketch to show all of you and this time I used it to create a Scrapbooking Layout.

I just LOVE all the different Holiday paper and embellishments we (Stampin' Up!) have this year in the big catalog and the Holiday Mini!!!!
This layout uses the Jolly Holiday DSP, Cherry Cobbler & Very Vanilla Textured Card Stock, Old Olive Card Stock, Old Olive 5/8" Satin Ribbon, Silver Tinsel, Very Vanilla 5/8" Jumbo Brads, Scallop Trim Border & 1 1/4" Circle Punches, Holly & Jolly Rub-Ons, Northern Hearts Stamp Set and the Big Shot with the Timeless Type Junior Alphabet.

I am just in love with this Silver Tinsel and can't get enough of it!! Have you played with it yet? If not, what are you waiting on??

Make sure you check out the Stamping 411 Blog to see what the other Operators did with this same sketch!!

Have a great day!!

A Vintage Christmas

I am having so much fun making things to use as Christmas Decorations this year!!! I am also making up some of these things to sale at an upcoming Christmas Bazaar I will be at on December 11th at the NorthEast Dubois High School. Make sure to mark your calendar and come visit that day!!

Do you not love this??!! I know I do!!! I picked this frame up at the Dollar Store for just a $1!!! WOW!!!

I used the Deck the Halls DSP, Deck the Halls Big Designer Buttons, Natural Hemp Twine, Dazzling Diamonds, Silver Tinsel Trim, 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch and my Big Shot with the Scallop Circle #2 Bigz Die.

Is this Silver Tinsel not stinkin' fun??!! I love it!! I just wrapped it loosely around the tree before adhering it to the outside of the frame.

After putting the Natural Hemp Twine in my button I added some Tombow Adhesive to the ends and dipped them into the Dazzling Diamonds. Too Stinkin' Cute!!!

Have a great day!!!!

Tinsel Tree

Are you getting in the Holiday Sprint yet? Have you started your Holiday Shopping yet? Well read on for an awesome gift giving idea using some supplies from Stampin' Up! and a plain old plate.

I picked this white plate up at Wally World the other day and decided to make a Christmas Decoration with it. So what do you think? I totally love the tinsel on the tree!!!

I used the Candy Cane Christmas Decor Elements in Old Olive, Old Olive 1 1/4" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, Cherry Cobbler 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon, Deck the Halls Big Designer Buttons, Silver Tinsel Trim, Jewelry Tag Punch, Vintage Trinkets and the stamp set called Tiny Tags.

Gotta love layering different ribbons for an awesome ribbon treatment!!

And how about that Tinsel Trim?? I LOVE IT!!!! I adhered this tinsel onto the plate/tree using our Crystal Effects. It is not going anywhere!!

I hope you have enjoyed a Christmas Gift Giving idea!!

Have a great day!!!

UDI Saturday Sketch #110

Well if you saw my Stamping 411 post last night then you know that we are away at our first ever Cheer Competition with Jordan. I am sure we are having a blast and that Jordan is doing her best!! I will have to post pictures of her and the squad when we get back home. But for now I have the UDI Saturday Sketch for all of you to enjoy.

If you want to see the sketch just head on over to the UDI Blog but make sure you come back!! I have lots to explain about this card. It uses the brand new Letterpress Plates for the Big Shot just like the card I did yesterday. I was having so much fun playing I decided to try all the different plates out to see how I liked each of them. They are so much FUN!!!!
This card uses the Deck the Halls DSP, Early Espresso & Cherry Cobbler Card Stock, Watercolor Paper, Antique Brads, Photo Corner & Circle Punches, Metallic Brads, Cherry Cobbler 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon, Craft Ink in Cherry Cobbler & Old Olive and my Big Shot with the Joyful Season Letterpress Plate.

If you have not tried these Letterpress Plates out I highly recommend them!!! They work great with Watercolor Paper and our Colored Card Stock but I also used them on our Whisper White Card Stock and it worked great too!! I will show you that project later on so you can see the different materials and how they turned out.
Thanks for stopping by and now it is time to head on over to Carol's Blog to check out her creation using this same sketch.
Have a great day!!

Stamping 411-Sketch Challenge #178

What a busy busy weekend we have in the Bauer homestead!! We have our very first Cheer Competition in Cincinnati, Ohio tomorrow morning so off we will be going tonight to Ohio. This is Jordan's first time competing so we are pretty excited!! On top of this I do have my last club for the month tonight so we are going to be leaving pretty late. And I also have an awesome sketch for you from the Stamping 411 Blog. It is another pretty easy and wide open sketch, that is what I LOVE about our sketches!!
For this sketch I decided to turn it on its side. What do you think??

I have been itching to try my hand at our new Letterpress Plates for the Big Shot so I pulled out the Lots of Love Letterpress and decided to make my husband this card for our 16th Anniversary that was last weekend. I think it turned too stinkin' cute, don't you??

I also used the Color Coach to come up with my color scheme for this card. I just LOVE that tool!!! I went with Sahara Sand, Bravo Burgundy, Pink Pirouette & Very Vanilla Card Stock, Victoria 5/8" Crochet Trim, Eyelet Border & Jewelry Tag Punches, Linen Thread, Color Spritzer, Antique Brads, Fabulous Phrases & Greeting Card Kids Stamp Sets, Markers, Blender Pens, VersaMark and the Big Shot with the Lots of Love Letterpress Plate.

I actually am not a big watercolor gal but while I was at Founder's Circle I buddied up with Diana Gibbs and she gave me and some other ladies at Founder's Circle some water coloring lessons. She is da' bomb!!!! Not only is she the sweetest person ever she is an amazing watercolorer!!!! So Diana, did I do you proud??

Make sure you stop on over at the Stamping 411 Blog to check out the other Operators and then play along with us!! We always have such an awesome time plus we have tons of other stuff we share with all of you during the week too.

Have a great day!!

Winter Wonderland Batch Of Cards

Here is another batch of cards I did for my upcoming Christmas Bazaar I will be involved in in December. I used the same layout I used on this CARD. I love Clean and Simple cards!!

I used the Candy Cane Christmas Specialty DSP, Baja Breeze & Real Red Card Stock, Bright Christmas & Jolly Old Saint Nick Stamp Sets, Basic Rhinestones, Decorative Label Punch and the Big Shot with the Northern Frost Decorative Strip Die.

I just love the "BLING" of the paper!! If you have not yet played with it make sure you do before it is gone forever!!

Make sure you check out this POST for an AWESOME deal Stampin' Up! has going on right now!! You can not pass this deal up!!! Contact me ASAP if you have any questions at all and I would LOVE to have you part of my Stampin' Family!!

Merry Frame

Here is a take on an old idea I did long ago on this blog POST. I saw it just sitting there and decided to change it to Christmas. I love how it turned out how about you??

I frame I purchased last year at Micheal's when I first made this project using the Fall Theme. For my Christmas Theme I used River Rock Textured Card Stock, Cherry Cobbler Card Stock, Holly Jolly DSP, Ornament & Modern Label Punches, Mini Library Clips, Natural Hemp Twine, Cherry Cobbler 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon, Distressing Tool from the Cutter Kit, Contempo Stamp Set and the Big Shot with the Billboard Sizzlits Decorative Stip Die.

After punching the ornaments out of the DSP I wadded them up to give them the distressed look.

I just love this frame and will probably make different inserts for it for the different holidays. Don't forget about the awesome opportunity Stampin' Up! has going on right now until November 30th!! You can't beat 50% off the starter kit with Stampin' Up! Check out this blog POST for all the information!! I would LOVE to have you part of my family!!

Have a great day!!

Merry Christmas

If you made it to my Holiday Open House last Saturday you got to make this card since this one was my make'n take. This card is one of those simpler but nice looking cards, don't you think??

I wanted to showcase things out of the Holiday Mini and this single stamp called Christmas Postcard is one that I think scares people because they think they have to color the image in. I showed here on this card that this stamp looks awesome just as it is!!! What do you think? I love the vintage feel of this one too!!

I used the Deck the Halls DSP, Crumb Cake & Very Vanilla Card Stock, Always Artichoke 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon, Natural Hemp Twine, Deck the Halls Designer Buttons, Christmas Postcard Single Stamp, the Distressing Tool from the Cutter Kit and the Big Shot with the Petals-a-Plenty Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

I love to play with my ribbon in different ways!! To make sure your ribbon does not come off your card you need to make sure you attach it with Sticky Strip. Works awesome!!!!

Don't forget about the awesome opportunity that Stampin' Up! has going on right now until November 30th!!! You can't beat 50% off the Starter Kit!!! Check out my blog post HERE for all the information!!

Have a great day!!

UDI Saturday Sketch Challenge #109

This card was just so much fun to create and guess what??!!! It is one of those Stampin' Sound Cards that is in the Holiday Mini!!! I ordered both Sound Cards as soon as they came available and as of today they both have been laying in my stamp room unopened!! Can you believe that?? Anyway I am having my Holiday Open House today and I am showcasing everything I can from the Holiday Mini so I just had to open one of these cards up!! AND it worked perfect with the UDI Saturday Sketch that I had to do today so here goes....
Is this card not stinkin' cute!!??!! AND the best part is when you open it up and push the button it is like the snowman is singing to you!!!! Cute!!!
I used Baja Breeze, Early Espresso, Cajun Craze & Whisper White Card Stock, Whisper White 5/8" Satin Ribbon, Basic Black Brads, Linen Thread, 1 1/4" Circle, 1 3/4" Circle & 2 1/2" Circle, Snowflake, Corner Rounder & Large Star Punches, Dazzling Diamonds, Calendar Alphabet & Numbers and the stamp sets called Seasonal Sentiments, Jolly Old Saint Nick & Delightful Decorations.

Do you not love that banner?? Just punch one star out using the Large Star Punch and then cut the points off. I then stamped the letters and then using the Tombow Glue I put a tiny bit of glue on the backside of the point at the very top. I layed the point onto the Linen Thread and let is dry for a while. Turns out perfect every time!!!

Do you see that stamp at the very bottom of the card? That is where you push to hear the song called "We Wish You a Merry Christmas". The other Sound Card is a recordable one that you can record what ever you want. Gotta love these!!!

Now hop on over to Carol's Blog to see what she did with this weeks sketch. If you want to see the sketch just hop on over to the UDI Blog then check out the rest of the Design Team. There is always lots of great inspiration for all you to look at!!!

Have a great day!!

Stamping 411-Sketch Challenge #177

What a wonderful day today was!! It is Jon's and I 16th Anniversary. We have some wonderful plans planned for tomorrow night, just the two of us!! It is always nice to get away by ourselves for the evening. But enough about me lets get down to business. I have another awesome Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge for all of you!!
This sketch is pretty wide open if I say so myself!! I actually used it several weeks ago for my son's, Griffen, birthday card.

What do you all think? Griffen loved it!!! I guess that is all the matters!!

I started with River Rock Textured Card Stock then used Marina Mist, Cherry Cobbler & Naturals White Card Stock, Marina Mist 1 1/4" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, the single stamp called Extreme Dirt Bike and Extreme Elements Stamp Set.

I just love using my ribbon like this!! I just layed down two rows of Sticky Strip and then took the ribbon and "crunched" as I stuck it to the card. Very fun!!
Make sure you check out the Stamping 411 Blog to see what the other Operators did with this same sketch!!
Have a great day!
