UDI Sketch #94

Still on vacation but I wanted to share with all of you the next UDI Sketch Challenge. It was a fun one but I do have to admit a little tough to figure out the fold for this card!! Finally got it and I really like how it turned out!!
I again used the Nursery Suite Quick Accents (I am telling you these are awesome and they last for a long time!!), Chocolate chip, So Saffron & Pear Pizzazz Card Stock, Vintage Trinkets, Chantilly Crochet Trim, the stamp set called Baby Bundle and my Big Shot with the Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

The Square Lattice Embossing here on the Pear Pizzazz Card Stock does look crooked but it is not. The embossing is a little but the card stock was put on straight.

Have I told you lately that I just LOVE these Vintage Trinkets?? Well if I haven't told you lately I LOVE THEM!!!!

Make sure to hop on over to Carol's Blog to see what she came up using this same sketch!!

Have a great day!!

Stamping 411-Sketch Challenge #162

I am still on vacation in Panama City, Florida but I just needed to share with all of you the next Sketch Challenge over on the Stamping 411 Blog. Vacation is about over and I am a little sad but then again I have not been in my stamp room for about two weeks and I just can't wait to start working on all the awesome ideas I learned while I was at the Stampin' Up! Convention last week!! Make sure to come back and visit in the next week or so to see lots of pictures and ideas from Convention!!
But right now I want to share our next Sketch Challenge with all of you and it is another awesome one!!

I again used the Nursery Suite Specialty DSP along with the Nursery Suite Quick Accents, Chocolate Chip & Whisper White Card Stock, Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon, Scallop Border Punch & 3/4" Circle Punch and the stamp set called Baby Bundle.

These Quick Accents do make for quick cards!! If you have not given these accents a thought I highly recommend them for all sorts of projects!! Stampin' Up! is caring three different sets that coordinates with our awesome Designer Series Papers. These accents can be found on page 176 of the brand new catalog.

Make sure you stop by the Stamping 411 Blog to check out what the other Operators did with this awesome sketch!! While you are there you should play along with us!! We love seeing all the different takes using our sketches.

A Cute Gift Card Holder

For one of my organized swaps, Godivas, during Convention we had the option to do a Gift Card Holder Swap. You can always use lots of ideas for giving gift cards/money so I decided to sign up. After signing up I just went blank on an idea to use!! So I googled Stampin' Up! Gift Card Holders and the first one that came up was one that Andrea Walford did back in 2008 and it was too cute!!! Click on her name to see her full tutorial.

This one is the one I did for the Godivas Swap and I used the new Greenhouse Gala DSP, Baja Breeze, Real Red, Chocolate Chip & Daffodil Delight Card Stock, the stamp set called Perfect Punches, Natural Twine, Wide Oval, Scallop Oval, Word Window 1" Circle & Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punches and the Paper Piecer.

Here are some baby gift card holders using the Nursery Suite Specialty DSP, Nursery Suite Quick Accents, So Saffron, Chocolate Chip & Regal Rose Card Stock, 1/8" Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon, 1/2" Chantilly Crochet Trim, Vintage Trinkets and the Basic Pearls Jewels.

Loving these Basic Pearls and Vintage Trinkets and Crochet Trim and the list goes on and on!!

So what is your brand new favorite item from the new catalog??

Below is yet another version of this gift card holder. Depending on what DSP you go with you get a different look each time.

For this one I used the Elegant Soiree DSP, Baja Breeze, Basic Gray & Soft Suede Card Stock.

Thanks for stopping by today!! I am still on vacation in Panama City, Florida but as soon as I get home I will be sharing some pictures from the most awesome Stampin' Up! Convention ever!!!

Have a great day!!

Life is Beautiful Swap

If you did not know I was the #1 Rising Star with Stampin' Up! in 2008 and our whole group of Rising Stars (1-15) have stayed close ever since getting to know each other at that years Founder's Circle trip. We even have our own Yahoo Group so we can stay in touch, share business ideas and organize swaps. We always plan a swap and lunch during a Stampin' Up! event like Convention, Leadership and Incentive Trips. This past Convention is no exception!! We met up for lunch and a card swap on Friday of Convention and had an awesome time catching up!!! These ladies are just awesome ladies and awesome stampers!!
This is my card I did for this swap and when I get home from vacation I will need to share a picture of us that we took during lunch.
My card uses the Lap of Luxury DSP, Basic Gray, Pretty in Pink & Concord Crush Card Stock, Concord Crush 1/2" Stitched-Poly Ribbon, Basic Pearls Jewels, Style Beautiful stamp set, Scallop Trim Border Punch, Silver Foil Smooch Spritz and my Big Shot with the Elegant Lines Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

I attached my ribbon by putting a piece of Sticky Strip down on my card and then pleating my ribbon as I laid it down.

Is this texture not awesome?? I love it!!!!

I really had an awesome time with my Rising Star ladies and did miss the ones that could not come!! Hopefully we will all be at the next Stampin' Up! event!!!!

Have a great day!!

Stamping 411-Sketch Challenge #161

I am a bad bad bad blogger and design team member!! I have been out in Salt Lake City, UT at Stampin' Up!'s annual convention and staying at a hotel with NO FREE WI-FI!!! Needless to say it makes posting to your blog very very difficult!! Anyway I apologize for this being sooooo late but here is it. This is my card for this weeks Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge.
As usual an awesome sketch from our sketch mom, Selene!!

My card uses the brand new Nursery Suite Specialty DSP and the Nursery Suite Quick Accents. I also used Pear Pizzazz & Baja Breeze Textured Card Stock, Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon and Heart to Heart Punch.

These quick accents make making a card super easy and fast!! I am not one to not use lots of layers but I am actually liking this!!!

I hope lots of you will hop on over to the Stamping 411 Blog and check out what the other Operators did with this same sketch. While you are there you should also play along!!
I will try and get some pictures of Convention posted very soon but until then have a great day!!

A Beautiful Flower

Here is a swap card I made for another organized swap I am in here at Convention. This one is for the SSUS Yahoo Group Swap.
I really hope everyone likes this card as much as I do!!! It is a 5x5 card and fits in one of our envelopes perfectly!! Again I have no Stampin' Up! Catalog with me so if you want the recipe just email me. I think once I get home and things get back to normal (or as normal as things can get!!) I just might do a video on how to make this card. It was so much fun making this one!!!

Is that flower not to die for??!! Love it!!!!

This card started out as a 5x10 piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock, covered it with some DSP and attached the scallop circle to the back side of the card. This card opens at the top using part of the scallop to hold it shut.

The below picture shows you what the backside looks like.

We are still here in sunny Salt Lake City, UT enjoying Convention!! I will try and get some more pictures uploaded for all of you too!!
Have a great day!!

A Baby Shower Card

I needed a baby shower card and I just HAD to use this brand new Baby Steps a'la Carte Stamp. He is just too cute!!! I also decided to play along with i {heart} 2 stamp sketch challenge this week. When I feel stumped my go to place is sketch blogs. There are so many out there so it is always easy to find one to use!!

Cute sketch don't you think?

And my card too!!! This momma elephant and baby elephant are just too stinkin' cute!!! I colored my stamp with the Tempting Turquoise & Poppy Parade Markers, huffed the stamp and then stamped my image onto Whisper White Card Stock. I then re-inked and re-stamped my images, cut out the ears and using Stampin' Dimensionals I adhered just the ears to the stamped images for a 3D look.

I also used the Build-A-Bear Workshop Pawsitively Prints DSP, Tempting Turquoise & Poppy Parade Card Stock, Poppy Parade 1/2" Stitched-Poly Ribbon, Tempting Turquoise 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon, Tempting Turquoise Brads and the Ticket Corner Punch.

Like my big honkin' bow? I got this idea of doing two ribbons together from my BFF, Robin Merriman. She has done it a couple of times but here is a link to one of her cards she did it on. Too cool Robin!!! And thank you for the inspiration!!!

Well I do want to let you all know I will be leaving for Stampin' Up!'s Convention tomorrow morning bright and early but no worries I will still be posting from sunny Salt Lake City, UT. I will be sharing with all of you lots of different swap cards, a swap project and of course my creations I did for my Demo Booth. If you are coming to Convention make sure you stop by my Demo Booth on Wednesday night during the Flower Power Party!!! I am showcasing the brand new Baby Suite line so I will have lots of awesome baby ideas for all of you!!!

Have a great day!!

Stamping 411-Sketch Challenge #160

I have another awesome sketch for all of you from the Stamping 411 Blog and this week I decided to use this sketch for both a card and a scrapbook layout!! I LOVE adapting card sketches into scrapbook layouts!!

Great sketch, don't you think?

Here is my first creation using this awesome sketch!! I had fun with this one, got to use lots of new stuff from the brand new catty!! I started with the Nursery Suite Specialty DSP, So Saffron & Regal Rose Card Stock, Scallop Border & Small Heart Punches, Chantilly 1/2" Crochet Trim, the stamp set called Baby Bundle and the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder & the Scallop Rectangle Clearlits Die.

I am in love with this Crochet Trim!!! I have already gone through a whole spool of it!!

I hope you liked my card I did using this awesome sketch!!?? Now for an added bonus. I also used this sketch to make a scrapbook layout!!

As you can see I kept is pretty simple. I used Night of Navy & Whisper White Card Stock, the stamp set called July Fourth, jumbo wheel called Red, White & Blue, Large Star & Scallop Border Punches and the now retired Taffy Alphabet.

I have been doing a monthly themed layout with my Scrapbooking Clubs since January. I wanted to see what a "Year in Review" would look like so I went with the year of 2007 and am using random pictures from each month. I am also trying to keep these layouts pretty simple by using just one base color along with a neutral.

I hope you liked my take on this awesome sketch!! Make sure to visit the Stamping 411 Blog to see what the other Operators did with this same sketch. And while you are there make sure you play along with us!!
Have a great day!!
