UDI Sketch Challenge #85

I have another UDI Sketch Challenge for all of you and this time I took advantage of this sketch to get some more of my graduation cards done. This sketch worked perfect with this stamp set too!!
We have two of our seven graduation parties on Sunday so I needed to get some cards made up. I went with these colors because these are the colors of our local high school. AND these colors are on our list of colors that are going bye bye next month. I have been stocking up on these colors this past month and think I better order some more just to be on the safe side!!
I used Brilliant Blue, Going Gray & Whisper White Cardstock, Whisper White 5/8" Satin Ribbon, Brilliant Blue Brads, the stamp set called Go Graduate and my Big Shot with the SU Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

Is that not neat?? I first stamped the images on to the Whisper White Cardstock and then ran it through my Big Shot using the SU Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. It turns our perfect every time!!!

Since this is the UDI Sketch Challenge the whole Design Team is hooked up so hop on over to Carol's Blog to see what she did with this sketch. Keep hopping until you get back to my blog. I am sure you will find tons of inspiration along the way!!

Have a great day!!

Stamping 411-Challenge #153

We have another awesome sketch for all of you over on the Stamping 411 Blog!! I hope you will join us this week and show us what you can do with this sketch. But first take a look at what I did with this sketch and then head on over to the Stamping 411 Blog to see what the other Operators did. I am sure you will find tons of inspiration!!!
Our sketch mom, Selene, always does a fab job designing our sketches and this week is no different!!

So what do you think? What to know how I made this flower image? Well if you have a computer, printer and the My Digital Studio Software you can make it too!!! That's right this is a digital image I printed straight from this software onto Whisper White Cardstock. The image is from a download that Stampin' Up! put out this month called Summer Splendor but I was one of the lucky ones that won this download from Stampin' Up! while we were on the Cruise last month. Yeah me!!!

I also used Whisper White & So Saffron Cardstock, Whisper White 5/8" Satin Ribbon, Small Oval, Large Oval & Scallop Trim Border Punches, the stamp set called Teeny Tiny Wishes and my Big Shot with the SU Polka Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

Now that you have seen my creation with this awesome sketch hop on over to the Stamping 411 Blog and play along!! We love seeing every one's artwork!!

Have a great day!!

Bloggers Challenge #153-Color Challenge

It is Friday again and that means Bloggers Challenge again!! This week our group mom gave us a Color Challenge to use Red, White & Blue. You know as much as I do that when you put those three colors together the first thing that comes to mind is July 4th right? Well that is what I did.
Isn't this brand new stamp set called July Fourth too fun?? It is great to make your own backgrounds!! I also used Brilliant Blue, Real Red & Whisper White Cardstock, Brilliant Blue & Real Red Brads, Whisper White 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon and Star, 1 1/4" Square & 1 3/8" Square Punches.

Did you notice that I used the Real Red Brads for the tops of the firecrackers? Too fun!!

Make sure to check out the other ladies in this group to see what they did using these colors!!

Have a great day!!

The Big Reveal About Stamping 411!!

Today is the BIG day for the Operators over at the Stamping 411 Blog to reveal our creation we did for our Sketch Challenge #152. This week is our First Anniversary and we decided to throw a BIG PARTY!! We had a guessing game and huge Blog Candy Loot going on and today we are revealing which card we did for the guessing game.
About 99% of everyone taking a stab at guessing guessed my card right off the bat!! I guess I kind of have a "Distressing" kind of style about me!! I thought about doing a totally different kind of card but thought I better play fair and do what I usually do, distressing & spritzing.
This card uses the Travel Journal DSP, Night of Navy, Kraft & Whisper White Cardstock, Night of Navy 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon, Cog On Board Book (I used a circle from the kit), the stamp sets called Sentimental Journey & Define Your Life, Distressing Tool from the Cutter Kit, Color Spritzer, 1" Circle Punch and the Big Shot with the SU Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

Make sure to head on over to the Stamping 411 Blog to see if you were one of the lucky winners of some of our awesome Blog Candy!! We had such a great turn out for our First Anniversary and loved seeing everyone show off their creation with our sketch. Make sure to stop by Saturday morning to see my creation using our brand new Sketch #153.
Have a great day!!!

Easy Graduation Cards

My mom needed eight Graduation Cards and soon!! So last night I was checking out some online galleries and ran across a card that Kay Kalthoff did for Stamping 411 back in April. I loved the fact that it was a great CAS, clean and simple, card and I could easily make several of these cards. Just by changing the color I could get both a boy and a girl card using the same card.
I used the Tall Tales DSP, Old Olive, So Saffron, Close to Cocoa & Whisper White Cardstock, Old Olive 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon, So Saffron 1/2" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, 1 1/4" & 1 3/8" Circle Punches, the stamp set called Go Graduate, Blender Pen and the Watercolor Wonder Crayons.

This stamp set is just so much fun to play with!!

Now I need to get busy making my many Graduation Cards I need!!
Have a great day!!

Graduation Card

Can you believe that school is about out for the summer? Here in our neck of the woods the kids go until this Friday and then they are free for the whole summer!! And since school is nearing an end it also means Graduation. This year we have seven of them!! I believe that is the most we have had ever and boy does that get expensive!!
For those that don't know I own my own business out side of Stampin' Up! I own the business that contracts with the Radiologists at our local hospital to do their billing. Here in our area the Radiologists don't work for the hospital but at the hospital. They have to have someone do their billing so they can get paid. I have three full time employees that work for me Monday thru Friday. I usually work Monday thru Thursday for about six hours a day. This way I can work on my Stampin' Up! business and be home with my kids.
The above invitation is for one of my employees daughter that is graduating this year. When I got it I thought I could make her a keepsake with this invitation and I sure did!!

I decided to make her a card using part of her invitation. Isn't that cool??!! I cut off the left hand side with all the information about her party and just used the portion with her picture and name on it. From there I worked around the picture. Kelsey is a Heart Transplant Survivor for five years now and just loves butterflies.
I used Pretty in Pink, Real Red & Whisper White Cardstock, Pretty in Pink 5/8" Satin Ribbon, 3/4" Circle & Eyelet Border Punches, Pretty in Pink & Real Red Corduroy Buttons, Teeny Tiny Wishes & Favorite Thoughts Stamp Sets and my Big Shot with the SU Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Dies & SU Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Folder.

How do you like that inside? I used cork board that was already sticky on one and ran it through the Big Shot. This machine cut threw it with no problem at all!!!

So how many Graduation Parties do you have this year? Try something different and use their invitation on a card that you make them. This is something Kelsey will treasure for a long time and her mom said they both just loved it!!!

Have a great day!!

Mojo Monday Week 139

How is everyone doing this fine Sunday? We are on our way out the door to our first of seven Graduation Parties and I thought I would share this card I did for this weeks Mojo Monday.
I love sketches and find so much inspiration while using them!!

So what do you think? I had alot of fun making this one and of course I had to distress (since that is becoming one of my staples!!).

I started with the Cottage Wall DSP, Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Orchid Opulence & Whisper White Cardstock, Linen Thread, Old Olive 5/8" Satin Ribbon, Color Spritzer, Distressing Tool from the Cutter Kit, Antique Brass Build-A-Brad, Extra Large Bird, 3/4" Circle & 1 3/8" Circle Punches, the stamp set called Favorite Thoughts and my Big Shot with the SU Top Note Bigz Die & the SU Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

I found this flower out on the web and decided to try my hand at it. Isn't it cool?? I will have to do a tutorial on how to make one soon so be watching for that!!

Don't forget to visit the Stamping 411 Blog for our One Year Anniversary Blog Candy that is going on all this week!!

UDI Sketch Challenge #84

Happy Saturday!!! I hope I am finding all of you enjoying this awesome sunny day (at least in my neck of the woods). I have another great Sketch Challenge for all of you from the UDI Blog Sketch Design Team. Make sure you hop on over to the UDI Blog to check out this great sketch and then check out the whole Design Team's Blogs to see what everyone did with this great sketch. Remember we are all hooked up at the bottom of our posts.
I recently just received this very awesome Hostess Level 2 Stamp Set called Punched Posies and just had to ink it up!!! This stamp set is just too much fun, works with several punches and best of all it is FREE with a qualifying order right now.
I also used the Tall Tales DSP, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, So Saffron & Whisper White Cardstock, Old Olive, Modern Label, Photo Corner & Fancy Flower Punches, Bitty Buttons, Linen Thread, the Hostess Level 3 Stamp Set called Kind & Caring Thoughts, Circle Scissor Plus and the Big Shot with the Circles #2 Originals Die.

Is this not a fun card??!! I had alot of fun making it and doing that ribbon treatment!! All I did was put a strip of Sticky Strip on one edge of the ribbon and started attaching it to the backside of the largest circle as I was gathering it.
Make sure to hop on over to Carol's Blog to see what she did with this great sketch and then keep going to make it through the whole Design Team and end up back here. I am sure you will get lots of great inspiration along the way!!!

Have a great day!!!

Stamping 411-Challenge #152

Happy Anniversary Stamping 411!!
Gretchen, Selene, Lee, Connie, Robin, Patti, Kerin & myself
That's right we are now one year old and what a wonderful ride it has been!! This blog was started as a place for the beginning stampers to learn the basics, a place for others to get lots of inspiration and a place where demonstrators could send their customers to that is free of advertising and selling. This blog was started with six amazing ladies, Gretchen, Selene, Lee, Connie, Robin & Patti. After several months of running this blog they asked me to come aboard and I was flattered and blown away!!! Just recently we invited Kerin to come aboard and what a great addition she has made to the family!!

Since this is our First Anniversary we thought we would have some fun and include all of our blog readers/followers in a game for a chance to win some awesome Blog Candy that has been offered up by the Operators!!

First off the card I am posting today using our awesome Stamping 411 Sketch #152 was NOT done by me. All the Operators created their own card, mailed it to our Blog Mom, Selene, and in turn she emailed us a picture of someone elses card that we are to post. Now this is where the game and fun comes into play!!! We, the Operators, and you, the readers/followers, have no idea whose card belongs to who. We all have to guess whose card belongs to each Operator and by doing so you will be entered into the drawing for some Blog Candy. All you have to do is go to the Stamping 411 Blog, view all the cards, pick an Operator for each card and leave a comment on that post with your guesses. Simple right??

Not so much!!!! I received card #2 and after studying it I have NO IDEA whose card this is!!!! I thought this would be very easy but I am stumped!!! If you have an idea whose this card belongs to leave me a comment here but also make sure to go to the Stamping 411 Blog and put in your guess of all cards for a chance to win some Blog Candy!!!

Now looking at this card this lady used the Island Oasis DSP, Old Olive, Tempting Turquoise & Whisper White Cardstock, Old Olive 1 1/4" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, the stamp sets called Tropical Party & Embrace Life, Rhinestone Brads and the Big Shot with the SU Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

I hope lots of you will head over to the Stamping 411 Blog and join in on the fun we are having and also try your hand at this awesome sketch!!! We just love seeing what everyone comes up with using our sketches and we really enjoy visiting each and every one of your blogs!!

Have a great day!!!

Bloggers Challenge #152-Sketch

Weeks come and go but you always know that I have a Bloggers Challenge for all of you on Fridays!! This week we were given this awesome sketch to work with and since it is Graduation time around here I thought I would start getting my Graduation Cards done. Nothing like killing two birds with one stone right?? (sorry for the saying but I am just happy that I can combine things to get stuff done around here)
For my card I decided to turn the sketch on it's side because I wanted to use our brand new Graduation Stamp Set called Go, Graduate from the Summer Mini.

So what do you think? Think the lady that will receive this card will like it?? I sure hope so!!!!

I also used the Bella Bleu DSP, Not Quite Navy & Very Vanilla Cardstock, Very Vanilla 5/8" Satin Ribbon, Very Vanilla 5/16" Jumbo Brads, Pewter Jumbo Eyelets, Crop-A-Dile, Medium Jewelry Tag & Scallop Border Punches, Color Spritzer and safety pins.

Isn't this a color accent? This was the first time I have tried this and I think it turned out awesome!!
Make sure to check out the other ladies in this group to see what they came up using this same sketch. Make sure you come back tomorrow for a HUGE announcement from the Stamping 411 Blog!! We have lots of great stuff in store for all of you for our one year anniversary.
