Robin Merriman CASE

There is yet another awesome reason to be a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and it is called Stampin' Connection. Stampin' Up! started this online community in January of this year and any Demonstrator can join, share and discuss anything related to our business. You are set up with your own page, photo album and there is a place to ask or answer questions of other Demonstrators. It is totally awesome and a great resource for answers and ideas!!
On the discussion side of the site an awesome Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, Mary Jo, has started a weekly Featured Stamper where she looks for awesome galleries of fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrators, picks a Demonstrator each week and showcases her gallery on Stampin' Connection. We are (if we decide to play along) to check out the Featured Stamper's gallery, pick a card and CASE it. Well this week Mary Jo picked none other then my BFF, Robin Merriman!!!! I love this girl and boy is she one talented stamper!! I haven't played along yet with everyone but when I saw that it was Robin I just had too!! There are sooooo many awesome projects to pick from out of her gallery but I knew right away which one I wanted to CASE so that is where I started!! You can view her card HERE that I CASED. I hope I did her card justice!!!

For my card I started with the Sweet Pea DSP, So Saffron, Chocolate Chip & Old Olive Cardstock, Chocolate Chip 5/8" Satin Ribbon, Word Window Punch, the stamp set called Teeny Tiny Wishes and my Big Shot with the SU Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Folder & SU Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die.

So what do you all think?? Did I do Robin's card justice?? I sure hope!!! It was a total honor to CASE one of her cards and I sure hope she likes mine!!! My card also fits the Late Night Stampers Yahoo Group Challenge #64, Sympathy Cards. We all hate to make these kinds of cards but occasionally do need them so I hope you will join us for this weeks challenge.

Have a great day!!

You can visit the Design Team album HERE for inspiration
and upload your card in the Members only album.
Member cards HERE
Remember that all challenge cards must use 100% current Stampin Up! merchandise.
I do have to say that these kinds of cards are the toughest ones to make but Stampin' Up! actually helps because of the awesome Sympathy Stamp Sets they have in the Catalog.
This card uses the Sweet Pea DSP, Kraft, Old Olive & Whisper White Cardstock, Pretty in Pink 5/8" Satin Ribbon, the stamp set called Thoughts & Prayers, Styled Silver Hodgepodge Hardware, Linen Thread and my Big Shot with the SU Scallop Square Bigz Clear Die.

This Satin Ribbon is just sooooo yummy and classes up any project when you use it!! I am soooo happy to announce that all 9 colors that are in the Occasions Mini will carry over to the new Summer Mini that comes out May 1st!! HIPPEE!!!!

AND our Styled Hodgepodge Hardware in either Silver or Vanilla looks great on any project too!! I do have to say this is one product I always forget about but since I have pulled it out of its drawer and am "seeing" it I have started to use it alot more!! I guess that is what it takes, having your products in plain sight!!

Just a quick reminder that tomorrow is the last day of the month AND the last day of Sale-A-Bration. If you don't want to miss out on earning those FREE Sale-A-Bration items contact me ASAP to place your order or better yet just go online HERE and place your own order yourself.

A Sweet Celebration!

Here is a card I made for my niece's birthday last week. She just turned 11 and is growing up way to fast!! In fact all of my nieces and nephews are along with my own kids!! My baby has her birthday this Friday and will be 8. OMG where has the time gone??!!??
Hanna just loved her bowl fun of fun ice cream!! She is actually the only one out of the clan that likes to get creative so I knew she would love this card!!
I used the Razzleberry Lemonade DSP, Melon Mambo & Crushed Curry Cardstock, Crushed Curry Polka-Dot Grosgrain Ribbon, a stamp set that will be in the new Summer Mini called Sweet Scopes, Silver Brads, Trio Flower Punch and my Big Shot with the SU Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Folder, the Clear Circle Bigz Clear Die & the Scallop Circle Bigz Die.

Does that ice cream not look good enough to eat?? Yummy!!!
To make my card I took a piece of Melon Mambo, folded it in half and layed it onto the Scallop Circle Bigz Die with the fold just below the cutting blade on one side of the die. Ran it through my Big Shot and voila you have a scalloped circle card. Too cute!!
Have a great day!!

UDI Sketch Challenge #76

Boy, three posts in a row containing Sketch Challenges!! What can I say?? I LOVE SKETCHES!!!! I like to think of sketches as "blue prints" for card making and scrapbooking. They are a great starting point and can always be altered or changed as you are creating. Make sure to hop on over to the UDI Blog today to view our sketch that we were given my our team mom, Carol, to work with this week. Always great sketches she gives us!!
This card was not only created using the sketch we were given but it was inspired by a card that was in one of our Stampin' Success Magazines. This is a monthly magazine that Stampin' Up! Demonstrators receive in the mail from Stampin' Up! It is chalked full of projects and training material. We all look forward to receiving our magazines each month!!
For this card I started with the Shades of Spring DSP, Certainly Celery & Pretty in Pink Cardstock, Certainly Celery 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon, Whisper White Basic Jumbo Grommets, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, the stamp set called Happy Moments, the a la carte A to Z stamp and my Big Shot with the SU Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Folder & SU Flower Folds Bigz xl Die.

The UDI Sketch Design Team is all hooked up again this week so hop on over to Carol's Blog to see what she did with this sketch and then keep hopping to view the whole Design Team. Have fun and I hope you get inspired to create something of your own using this sketch. If you do let me know so I can check it out!!

Stamping 411-Challenge #144

It's time for another awesome sketch for all of you from the Stamping 411 Blog. This week is no exception!! It is another AWESOME sketch!!! I hope I see lots of you playing along with us this week. We all just love to visit each of you to view your creation with our sketches!!
I was having so much fun with this sketch that I decided to do two cards for all of you. I did change the sketch up a little on my second card but that is one of the best things about using sketches, they actually start as your blue print and can be altered anyway.

For both my cards I started with the Bella Bleu DSP, Kraft, Not Quite Navy & Very Vanilla Cardstock, Very Vanilla 5/8" Satin Ribbon, Color Spritzer and Photo Corner Punch. This card also uses the Pretties Kit, Eyelet Border Punch, the stamp set called Vintage Vogue and the Very Vintage Jumbo Roller.

Our Pretties Kit is totally awesome!!! I love these hat pins that you can customize anyway you want.

This card also uses the stamp set called Vintage Vogue and my Big Shot with the SU Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Folder.

I can't say enough about our Pretties Kit!! Love it!!
Make sure you check out the Stamping 411 Blog to see what the other Operators did with this awesome sketch!! I am sure you will love all the projects and we have a special announcement for all of you too. So head on over!!!
Have a great day!!

Bloggers Challenge #144-Sketch

It is that time again.....time for another Bloggers Challenge and this week our team mom gave us a sketch to work with. You all know I love sketches so I was happy to work with it!!
What a great sketch don't you think?

And this is what I came up with. So how do you like? I haven't done a distressed card in a while so I pulled out my oh so favorite distressing tool and got to work!!

This card uses Whisper White & Real Red Cardstock, Real Red 5/" Satin Ribbon, Natural Hemp Twine, Real Red Corduroy Buttons, Word Window & Modern Label Punches, the Distressing Tool from the Cutter Kit, Color Spritzer, the stamp set called With All My Heart, the background stamp called En Francais and my Big Shot with the Scallop Circle #2 & Clear Circle Bigz Dies & the SU Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Folder.

Love the added button to the already awesome bow!! Just dresses it up even more!!

And how about all this distressing and spritzing?? Really makes for a great vintage feel!! So how do you like? Did I do the sketch justice?? I hope you all like and will decide to visit the other ladies in this awesome Bloggers Challenge Group. Just click on my icon on my right side bar to visit each of these ladies to see what they did with this weeks sketch.

SSUS Weekly Challenge 3/19

I belong to a Yahoo Group called SSUS, Sensational Stampin' Up! Swappers, and we have weekly challenges that we can sign up for and complete according to a said theme. We don't have to sign up for every challenge but we do agree to do so many per year. After signing up we are assigned a person we are suppose to send our finished card to according to the theme. For this weekly challenge we were to celebrate the boy so the first thing that popped into my head was a boy birthday card.
I hope my partner likes it!!! I had fun creating this card and coloring my bear!!
I started with the To The Nines Specialty DSP, Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel & Whisper White Cardstock, Natural Hemp Twine, Photo Corner Punch, the stamp sets called Happy Moments & Under the Stars, Blender Pen and the Watercolor Wonder Crayons.

Have you ever colored with out Watercolor Wonder Crayons? They are so easy to use and sooooo much fun!!! You have to give it a try!!! Brings out the kid in you!!!
