UDI Sketch Challenge #68

I hope you all are staying warm and enjoying the snow (that is if it is snowing in your area!!). I have another great sketch challenge for all of you over at the UDI Blog. I just love sketches!!! For this weeks sketch challenge our team mom, Carol, gave us an additional challenge (which I love because it makes me try new things) of using line art and cutting. This is kind of a challenge for me since I don't do alot of stamping with line art because I feel you need to do alot of coloring too. Anyway I took the challenge and I hope you all like!!
My card uses the Sweet Pea DSP Stack, Old Olive & So Saffron Cardstock, Old Olive 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon, Natural Hemp Twine, Playground Designer Buttons, Scallop Trim Border & Modern Label Punches, the stamp set called Picnic Parade, Stampin' Write Markers and my Big Shot with the Circles #2 Originals Die & the Stampin' Up! Punch Windows w/the Movers & Shapers Bigz xl Die.

Is this card not sweet?? I had so much stamping these little guys and believe it or not I had fun coloring them in AND cutting them out!!!! Make sure you head on over to the UDI Blog, check out our sketch and then check out the other ladies to see what they came up with!!
Have a great day!!!

Stamping 411-Challenge #136

Are you all ready for the weekend? Are you having great weather?? OR are you like us in Indiana waiting on the snow to fall??? Well whatever the weather in your neck of the woods I am sure I can tempt you all into creating a project for our brand new sketch over at Stamping 411. Selene has worked her magic again and we have another awesome sketch for all of you!!
Another beauty don't you think?? I love all the clean lines and the simpleness of our sketches!!

What do you think of my creation? I received this stamp set called Garden from the Heart for FREE at Founder's Circle back in September of 2009 and had never inked it up!! I know, you are shocked and so am I!!! Anyway I was bound and determined I was going to use it this week and use it I did!! I made this card for Stamping 411 and I made a card for Late Night Stampers Yahoo Group Challenge #55 that I am going to post this weekend.

For my card I used the Pawsitively Prints DSP, Old Olive & Pretty in Pink Cardstock, Old Olive & Pretty in Pink 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon, Stampin' Pastels, Linen Thread, Medium Jewelry Tag Punch, Button Latte Designer Buttons and the stamp sets called Garden from the Heart & Tiny Tags.

Make sure you hop on over to the Stamping 411 Blog and check out what the other Operators did with this awesome sketch!! I hope to see your name on the list of many many entries for this weeks sketch challenge!!

Have a great day!!

Bloggers Challenge #136-Theme Birthday

It is Friday again and January is almost over!! Just where does the time go??
Our challenge this week for Bloggers Challenge was the Birthday Theme. I can always use birthday cards so I decided to make up several cards to have on hand. I saw this idea on Late Night Stampers Yahoo Group where a lady used this DSP to make up several of the same card without much work (but she used the paper with the birds on it).
This new Sweet Pea DSP Stack has 24 different designs in it AND you get two of each totaling 48 sheets!! This paper is just perfect for all kinds of different themes since it has eight colors in this whole pack. I really love the sheets that have designs printed on them, makes card making a breeze!!! I used this sheet of DSP, cut several pieces to fit my 3x6 card and with a little stamping I am done!! Gotta love that!!!
My cards use Sweet Pea DSP Stack, Chocolate Chip, Rose Red & Pumpkin Pie Cardstock, Rose Red & Pumpkin Pie 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon, Modern Label & Word Window Punches and the brand new hostess stamp set called Picture This.

We do sell the envelopes that fit this size of card too!! They are the Small Open-End Envelopes. For this card you start with a 12x12 sheet of Cardstock, cut four 6x6 pieces and score at the 3" mark on all four pieces.

And is this hostess stamp set not the cutest thing ever?? There is a saying in this stamp set for eight different events. Who couldn't use a stamp set like that??? AND the best part is it is FREE for just hosting a qualifying workshop since it is a Level 1 Hostess Stamp Set that comes in wood or clear mount. Contact me today if you are interested in earning this stamp set for FREE!!
Make sure to check out the other ladies in this awesome group to see what they came up using this theme.
Have a great day!!

Love You Wallet

Now that I have shown you a scrapbook layout using this awesome Simply Scrappin' Kit I thought I would show you what you can do with all the left over pieces of a Simply Scrappin' Kit. You can get lots and lots of layouts out of a Simply Scrappin' Kit and still have lots of items left over. Here is one thing you can make using those left overs.
This is a project I saw at the Stampin' Up! Regional in Phoenix earlier this month and knew I just had to make one!! Everything I used on this project came from the Love Sparkles Simply Scrappin' Kit. This kit is perfect for any Valentine project you want to make!!!

My project used these products: Love Sparkles Simply Scrappin' Kit, Glassine Bags, Well Scripted Stamp Set and the Slit, Scallop Trim Border & Round Tab Punches.

This wallet actually starts with the Bags in our new Glassine Envelopes & Bags line in the Occasions Mini. These bags measure 4 3/4" x 6 3/4". You will fold one in half, trim off the ends (this will make the closed end open up) and adhere together with our Snail Adhesive. This finished piece is your starting point since you will then make your wallet big enough for it to fit inside. After measuring and cutting you will then adhere this Glassine Bag inside the wallet with Snail Adhesive. After doing this it forms two pockets for you to add love notes, gift cards and even money.

Just excuse my Christmas Gift Card, that is all I had laying around!! I wanted to make sure a gift card would fit.

I hope I have inspired lots of you to pull out those Simply Scrappin' Kits and get busy!! They are not just for scrapbooking!!

Have a great day!!

{i luv u}

I just LOVE our Scrapbooking Kits but to tell the truth I haven't been using them that often!! I know shame on me!! Anyway since I pulled out this kit called Love Sparkles I am totally in love with all this DSP and self-adhesive die cuts!!
Are my kiddos not the cutest things ever?? I know all our kiddos are!!!
For this 12x12 layout I used everything from the Scrapbooking Kit and only added the Aluminum White Circle Metal Edge Tag and a small bit of Regal Rose 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon. I also used the Pinking Hearts Border Punch and my Big Shot with the Scallop Circle #2 Bigz Die, the Stampin' Up! Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Folder & the Circles #2 Originals Die.

So what do you all think? Think you will now pull out those scrapbooking kits you have laying around or better yet purschase some of them to start playing with?? I hope you do and if you need to purchase some of them you can go to my website HERE and order away!! Just remember for every $50 you spend you get to pick an item out of the Sale-A-Bration Mini for FREE!! Have fun and get Scrapbooking!!

Have a great day!!

Picture Perfect

I thought I would share with all of you a gift I gave to one of my Best Friends that I have made through Stampin' Up! One of the greatest things about being involved in a company like this is all the awesome friendships I have made since joining in 2006. Everyone you meet is so open and friendly!!
This picture is of myself and Robin Merrimon while we were at Founder's Circle last September. While I was at my first Founder's Circle in 2008 (for receiving the #1 Rising Star Award) Robin befriended me and we have been inseparable at any Stampin' Up! event ever since!!

This frame was purchased at Wal-Mart and the only thing I did to it was add one of my big bows using our Old Olive 1 1/4" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon that I love to make with some items from the Pretties Kit, Linen Thread, the stamp set called Tiny Tags and the Medium Jewelry Tag Punch.

Love ya Robin!!!

Have a great day!!

A Mature Kind of Card

This post is for the mature audience only!!hee hee!! We were invited to a birthday party to help celebrate a friend of my husbands turn 40. My husband said he was going to buy his friend a gag birthday card and I told him that I DO NOT buy cards!!! I said I could make him one and that he would love it!!! These cards are all over the Internet and I found the template for it HERE.
You have to keep scrolling down to see the back side of this card. It is a hoot!!!

Now this is a card!!! My husbands friend and everyone else there LOVED it!!
I started with the template that I found and Blush Blossom Cardstock. Cut the cardstock per the template and added the bra and panty part with the Groom Specialty Paper. I did use some non-Stampin' Up! velvet black scallop ribbon I had on hand, added a White Halfback Pearl from the Pretties Kit and finished off the card with a tattoo using the I {Heart} Hearts stamp set.
Let me know if you liked my card or not. Sorry if it offended anyone but I just had to share!!
Have a great day!!
