Bloggers Challenge #138-Theme Valentines

Once again it is Friday and time for another Bloggers Challenge!! This week we were given the theme of Valentines. So fitting since Sunday is Valentines Day. Have you all made your sweetie in your life a special card or better yet have you sent your best friend across the miles a card?? I can check both those off my list!!!
First, I wanted to share with all of you my youngest daughter, Jordan, making her own Valentines for her whole class. I ordered her the Love Bots-Girl and her very own Love Bots Personalized Name Stamp and she had a ball getting them ready for all her friends!! I just had to share some pictures with you all of her working away!!

Isn't she the cutest??

Here she is showing off her cute little boxes and she just had to make her two teachers one too!! I am sure all the kids will love them since they are stuffed full of candy!!

Now onto my project I made. Shannon West demoed this idea at Leadership and I knew I just had to try my hand at making one!!

So far it looks like a normal looking card until you........

start to open it!!!!

And it becomes a great big heart!!!

Now how cute is this?? Who wouldn't love to receive a great big ole' heart card from you?? I really hope the intended person who is getting this card loves it as much as I love that person!!

First I started with a 12x12 piece of Real Red Cardstock (to tell you the truth I first used a 12x12 piece of Whisper White to make a template that I just traced around). You end up making the center of the heart the same size of a normal card, 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". I also used the Sending Love Specialty DSP, Chocolate Chip, Pretty in Pink & Very Vanilla Cardstock, Very Vanilla 5/8" Satin Ribbon, Pinking Hearts Border, Full Heart & Trio Flower Punches, Circle Fire Rhinestone Brads, Distressing Tool from the Cutter Kit, the stamp sets called I {Heart} Hearts, A Happy Heart & Teeny Tiny Wishes and my Big Shot with the SU Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslits Die.

I hope you enjoyed my huge heart card!!! Make sure to check out the other ladies in this awesome Bloggers Challenge Group to see what they came up with!!
Have a great day!!

First of all, I love pics of Jordan making her cards - how fun is that? Emma stamped with me yesterday and I love that so much!

Secondly - that heart card is da'bomb! I know that if it showed up in MY mailbox, I'd hang it up on my studio display board! Love it and YOU my friend! :)
PS., we finally got mail service yesterday so watch yours, ok?

Love the card and how it opens. I hadn't seen this and appreciate the directions. I'll have to give this a whirl -- thanks for sharing!
