A Christmas Ornament

I know I told you all several weeks ago in THIS post that I would be showing you all what you could do with your left over Decor Elements Block after making the three block calendar for 2010. Well I have finally finished it and wanted to share what I made with all of you. I know Christmas is over but I did get this done on Christmas Eve so it actually made it to our Christmas tree for us to enjoy.
It is a picture ornament!! It is really beautiful in real life and SPARKLY!!! Before adding the pictures I sprayed it with a mixture of rubbing alcohol and Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint. Just take a small spray bottle, fill it with rubbing alcohol, add several drops of any of our Shimmer Paints and you have a sparkly spray you can spray on about anything. It is really hard to capture this sparkle in the photos below but believe me in real life it is really SPARKLY and BEAUTIFUL!!

First thing I did was paint my block with white acrylic paint. I let this dry and gently sanded all the edges with our Sanding Blocks. I then glued on my Soft Suede Cardstock with Tombow Multi Purpose Adhesive after distressing the edges with my Distressing Tool from the Cutter Kit. I then glued on my Christmas Cocoa Specialty DSP. After all the sides where done this is when I sprayed the whole thing with my mixture from above. I let it dry and then got started on decorating each side of the block. The above side I used the stamp set called Yuletide Christmas, Wide Oval Punch, Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon and the Pretties Kit.

Kaitlyn's side I used the Scallop Square & 1 1/4" Square Punches, Silver Elastic Cord, Clear Rhinestone Brads, Frost White Shimmer Paint and my Big Shot with the Stampin' Up! Tree Decorations Sizzlits Die.

Jordan's side I used the Scallop Square & 1 1/4" Square Punches, Circle Fire Rhinestone Brads and my Big Shot with the Stampin' Up! Merry Details Sizzlits Die.

Griffen's side I used the Scallop Square & 1 1/4" Square Punches, Clear Rhinestone Brads and my Big Shot with the Stampin' Up! Merry Details Sizzlits Die.
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and before long we will be welcoming in a brand new year!! Please let me know if you would like to order any of the above items before they are gone when the Holiday Mini is over Janurary 4th, 2010.
Have a great day!!

Once in awhile it would be nice to wake up to snow but it didn't happen here!!. Anyway it is time for another Bloggers Challenge and this week we were given the Theme of Christmas. So fitting since today is Christmas!! So here is a great big Merry Christmas to all of you!!!!

For my card I used Bashful Blue Patterns DSP, Bashful Blue, Garden Green, Whisper White & Chocolate Chip Cardstock, Full Heart & Small Tag Punches, Summer Sun Corduroy Buttons, Natural Hemp Twine, Distressing Tool from the Cutter Kit, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, 2-Way Glue Pen, the stamp set called Four the Holidays and my Big Shot with the Texture Plates Kit #4 Texturz Plates.

Is this Punch Art Tree not the cutest thing ever?? Just punch out six hearts, turn upside down and piece together. New Clear Mount Stamps & A Way To Store

Look at whats coming in the brand new Occasions Mini on January 5th, 2010!! Be one of the first to see all these wonderful new products and actually play with them too by contacting me NOW to schedule your very own in-home WORKSHOP. Make sure to read all the way to the bottom of this post for a very special offer for the first 5 people that contact me now and schedule your very own workshop for 2010.

Over the past few years, there has been enormous demand from demonstrators and customers alike for a line of repositionable clear-mount stamps. Well, you asked for it, and now you have it! Starting with stamps in the 2010 Occasions Mini Catalog and the 2010 Sale-A-Bration Brochure, Stampin′ Up! now offers our exclusive stamp art in both traditional wood-mount, and the new clear-mount option.
Stampin' Up!'s new clear-mount stamps are the result of extensive research with the intent to maintain the very best image quality in the stamping industry, while at the same time offering the ease-of-use and storability inherent in repositionable clear-mount stamps. Clear-Mount Features Nine different sizes of clear blocks available individually or as a discounted bundle. Blocks have ergonomic grooves on all four sides for easy grip and traditional wood-mount feel. Stamps and blocks are durable and easy to clean with your Stampin’ Scrub and Stampin' Mist. Optional image labels on stamp backs let you decide if you want to see the image through the block or not. Tight die-cutting for easy image positioning. Large clear blocks can be used to create collages or spell words with alphabet sets. Stamps store easily in standard, DVD-type cases with artwork on front and spine, making organization easy. This is so exciting. Your choice, Stampin' Up!'s wonderful Rubber Stamps with the wood blocks and now your choice of Clear Mount too.
AND if you are wondering on how you will be storing your brand new clear mount blocks take a look at this:
I know this is not a practical way to store these blocks for demonstrators on the go but this is a great way to store them at your very own workstation!! I purchased this tin bucket from Wal-Mart some time ago and thought of it first when I opened up all my blocks. All nine of our blocks fit perfect inside this tin. All I did was add a pretty piece of Rose Red 1" Double-Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon.

AND let me tell you these blocks ROCK!!! You might think I am crazy but there is a huge difference in these blocks and the others you can pick up about anywhere!! And YES, I have other blocks, have used them and just prefer these hands down!! With this said and with what I said above at the beginning of my post I have an AWESOME SPECIAL for the very first 5 people that contact me to book their very own in-home Workshop!! After we have closed your Workshop you will receive your very own bundle of these clear blocks plus a container just like the one pictures above for FREE!!!! That is a $69.95 value you will receive for FREE for just hosting an in-home Workshop!! Make sure you contact me ASAP because I am sure I will book these very fast!! Also, if you are a club member remember you can also have an in-home Workshop to add to your club for the month you are the hostess.
Live too far from me for an in-home Workshop? Contact me today for an awesome special I am giving away for the first 5 online orders that are placed when this mini goes lives on January 5th, 2010!!
Have a wonderful day!!

Cards A Plenty

Need a last minute Christmas gift idea? What about a gift box of all occasion cards?
These gift boxes make the perfect gift!! I filled up 10 boxes with 8 cards plus envelopes for a customer order. I believe I will be making more of these for myself to give as gifts!!
I kept the cost down by doing simpler cards with hardly any layering (and to make sure they all fit into the plastic box!!). These box sets included 2-Birthday, 2-Get Well, 2-Friendship, 1-Congrats and 1-Thank You cards. I also tried to use up retired DSP and Cardstock.

Here are pictures of three of the cards I made.

I do love to make simple but striking cards!!

This card I actually CASED from Kimberly Van Diepen.

If you have any questions about any of these cards just ask. I don't have much time today to list all the product I used on them.
Have a great day!!

All the tags I added to all these tiles uses the Friends 24-7 & All Holidays, Kraft & Very Vanilla Cardstock, Color Spritzer Tool, Wide Oval Punch, Linen Thread, Button Latte Designer Buttons, retired Eyelets and my Big Shot with the Stampin' Up! Lots of Tags Sizzlits 4-Pack Dies & Stampin' Up! Two Tags Bigz Die.

This tile uses the Tres Chic Background Stamp and Chocolate Chip, Night of Navy & Rose Red Craft Inks.

This tile uses a retired background stamp called Baroque, Basic Black 1 1/4" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon and Basic Black, Old Olive & Bravo Burgundy Craft Inks. The tag uses Basic Black & Very Vanilla Cardstock.

This tile uses the background stamp called Medallion, the stamp set called Friends 24-7, Tempting Turquoise & Chocolate Chip Craft Inks, Tempting Turquoise 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon and Chocolate Chip 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon.

This last tile uses the background stamp called En Francais, the retired stamp set called Carte Postale, and Really Rust & Chocolate Chip Craft Inks.
All these tiles were then covered with our Glassy Glaze Enamel Stampin' Emboss Powder and baked for 12 minutes on 350 degrees.

UDI Sketch Challenge #62

Another great sketch from UDI this week!! Make sure to check out this awesome blog and see what the other ladies did with this sketch!!
I am going to be sad when this Hostess Stamp Set goes away when the Holiday Mini ends on January 4th, 2010!! Remember this stamp set is one you can earn FREE by hostessing your very own Stampin' Up! Workshop!!
I used the Bella Bleu DSP, Not Quite Navy & Very Vanilla Cardstock, the Hostess Stamp Set called Patterned Pines, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, the Distressing Tool from the Cutter Kit, 5/16" Neutrals Jumbo Brads and my Big Shot with the Snowflakes Set #2 Sizzlits 4-Pack Dies.

This stamp set actually comes with a stamp that has only three trees on it. I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the stamp and stamp the trees again to get the look I wanted. AND I just love making my own "snowy" hills with our Dazzling Diamonds Glitter!!

Don't forget to hop on over the UDI Blog and check it out!!!

Have a great day!!!
