SSUS Weekly Challenge 5/29 & A Sketch

This card is for two challenges!! First it is my SSUS Weekly Challenge that was to pick a current stamp set that I think might be retiring next month since the brand new Stampin' Up! Catalog is coming out July 1st and also a new sketch challenge that my fellow Late Night Stampers Bloggin' Stars, MaryJo, has on her blog every Monday called Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge. This one is Challenge #71. Most of you know by know I just LOVE sketches and challenges even more so I decided to play along this week and am so happy I did!!
Below is my card that I already mailed out to my SSUS partner. I picked the stamp set called Close As a Memory. It is a great stamp set but it has been around for awhile and we now have a couple of great sympathy sets so I think this one is heading to the retirement list in June.
That's right the retirement list is coming out in June so make sure to watch my blog tomorrow for the list!!! This will be your last chance to order some of your all time favorites that might be retiring!!

My card started with the above sketch, Tea Party DSP, So Saffron & Certainly Celery Cardstock, So Saffron 7/8" Poly-Twill Ribbon, Stampin' Write Markers and the Eyelet Border Punch.

This card could also be considered for the Stampin Up Late Night Stampers Yahoo Group Challenge which is Summer Time. These colors I used and the flower stamp just screams summer even though the theme of the card does not. Make sure you head on over to our brand new Yahoo Group and sign up for FREE. You have until midnight tonight to get your creations uploaded to be eligible for the Design Team voting that takes place on Monday.
Have a great day!!

LNS Challenge #21-Summer Time

The weirdest thing ever happened yesterday!! Our Late Night Stampers Yahoo Group just disappeared!! That's right, it's gone and nobody knows what happened!! Even the group mom, Sherrill, doesn't know where the group went!! With over 1300 members Sherrill acted fast and started a brand new group (so us crazy stampers have a place to hang out!!) called Stampin Up Late Night Stampers Yahoo Group. You can go HERE to sign up and it is still FREE. This group is full of great women and lots of inspiration!! And we are still doing our challenges and this takes me to our Challenge #21-Summer Time. Create anything that says Summer or Summer Colors. The card I created goes along the line of Summer Colors and of course a Summer Birthday!!

First I started with the sketch from Mojo Monday, love that blog, Candy Lane DSP, Riding Hood Red & Pink Pirouette Cardstock, Pink Pirouette 5/8" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, Word Window Punch, Blender Pen, Stampin' Write Markers, Crystal Effects, Pewter Vintage Brads and the stamp set called Crazy for Cupcakes.
You can't really tell in these pictures but I put Crystal Effects on the icing on the cupcakes. They really shine in real life.

Now whose birthday is this summer?? If it is you you never know if this card will show up in your mailbox!!!

I hope to see lots of you join me for this great challenge at our brand new Yahoo Group!!!

Have a great day!!

Bloggers Challenge #101-Graduation

Time for another Bloggers Challenge and this week we are showcasing graduation cards. Perfect timing since I needed to make 5 of them for graduation parties we were invited to.
My cards go along with the schools colors of the graduate. The first 4 are for our local school, Dubois High School and our colors are Blue, Gray & White. Brilliant Blue and Going Gray match perfect!!!! For my cards I used the stamp set Great Grads, Brilliant Blue, Going Gray & Whisper White Cardstock, Brilliant Blue Brads and Whisper White 5/8" Satin Ribbon.

As you can see from the above picture one of the cards is missing the ribbon. This one was for a boy graduate and I thought the ribbon was too girly.

My final card for graduation.

Here is the same card but done in Forest Park High School's colors. This was our 5th graduation from a neighboring school. I used the colors Glorious Green & YoYo Yellow along with the Yellow Rhinestone Brads. These colors matched the schools colors perfect!!!
Make sure you check out all the other ladies' projects today. Click on my Bloggers Challenge icon on my sidebar to see what everyone else came up with.
Have a great day!!

Workshop Goodies

These are some projects I did for some workshops I had during Sale-A-Bration. I just have not had the time to get these posted!!! Where does the time go????
This card was the make 'n take at several workshops and was inspired by the sketch I used in this POST.

Can you believe I do not have an old Sale-A-Bration Mini handy right now to tell you what all I used on this card!!??!! I can tell you that everything is now retired since Sale-A-Bration is over except the Certainly Celery Cardstock and Sahara Sand Ink. I also used the Scallop Circle Punch on this card.

This box was made using the Big Shot with Box #2 Bigz XL Die & Stampin' Up! Cherry Blossom Embosslit Die. I also used So Saffron Cardstock & the Wide Oval Punch. The rest is now retired from Sale-A-Bration.

Have a great day!!!

SSUS Weekly Challenge 5/15-Mother's Day Card

I made this card for my partner I was assigned for the weekly challenge over at SSUS Yahoo Group I belong to. I got the idea for this card from Amy Celona. She made the most adorable accordion flower pot card and has a video tutorial showing you how to make one. Here is mine:
And I of course had to use this adorable bunny from the stamp set called Forest Friends that is only available until the end of June in the Occasions Mini. I also used Creamy Caramel, Old Olive, Very Vanilla, Pink Pirouette & Rose Red Cardstock, Very Vanilla5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon, Sanded Background Stamp, All Holidays Stamp Set, Sponge Daubers, uni-ball Signo Gel Pen, Corner Rounder Punch and my Big Shot with Stampin' Up! Little Leaves Sizzlits Die & Flower Layers Originals Die.

I used Old Olive Cardstock for the grass and my sign is handmade and suppose to be kind of crooked.

Is this just not beautiful??? It is like your very own flower garden!!!!

I hope you have enjoyed seeing a flower garden inside of a card!!! This card was so much fun to make and I hope my SSUS partner loved it when she received it in the mail.
Have a great day!!!

A Little Yummy

Here is a fun card I did during Sale-A-Bration ense the now retired Sale-A-Bration stamp set. This card was inspired by someone on SCS but for the life of me I can't find it now to give her due credit. On this card I used the Parisian Breeze Specialty DSP, Baja Breeze, Riding Hood Red & Kraft Cardstock, Whisper White Organza Ribbon, Watercolor Paper, Aqua Painter and the stamp sets called Yummy & Wagon Full of Fun.

Isn't that cupcake just too yummy???
Have a great day!!

SSUS Weekly Challenge

This one was for the SSUS Yahoo Group I belong to way back in March. We were to use contraband stamps and send it to our partner for the week, I just have never gotten around to posting this card for some reason. I really do like it even though it uses a non Stampin' Up! stamp on it. Every once in a while you just need to play with other things, right??
Well this card does use everything else Stampin' Up! I started with a sketch from Mojo Monday (do not know which one since it has been over two months ago!!!!), Sweet Slumber Specialty DSP, Baja Breeze & Ruby Red Cardstock, Baja Breeze 5/8" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, Eyelet Border Punch, Chit Chat Rub-Ons and the Big Shot with they Circles #2 Original Die & the Scallop Circle #2 Bigz Die. I am really sorry but I am at work right now and do not know what this stamp is. I do know it is one of the $1 stamps you can get at any LSS.

Have a great day!!!

Thank You Cards

Is this bird not the cutest bird on the block??? I just love this stamp set, too cute!!
For my card I used the Washington Apple DSP, Bashful Blue, Riding Hood Red & So Saffron Cardstock, Scallop Border Punch, Bashful Blue Buttons, Linen Thread, the stamp set called Cheep Talk and my Big Shot with they Scallop Circle #2 Bigz Die.

This card is the same but instead of using the Scallop Border Punch I used the So Saffron 7/8" Poly-Twill Ribbon and Circle Ice Rhinestone Brads. I actually took the rhinestones out of the brads using my Wire Cutters out of the Crafter's Took Kit. Very easily done.

Have a great day!!
