Late Night Stampers Challenge #8

This card is for my good friend Nicole's birthday which was on Thursday and also it fits the theme of the Late Night Stampers Yahoo Group's Challenge #8 which is "Are you ready to parrrr-tay??".

This card is pretty busy but so is my girlfriend I am giving it to!!! She is one wild crazy lady and my first thought for her card was the new Pink Flamingo DSP. Then I knew I wanted to use the Cheers to You stamp set and the card just grew from there. I also used the Scallop Square Punch, Tempting Turquoise & Summer Sun Cardstock, Tempting Turquoise 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon and my Watercolor Wonder Crayons with my Blender Pen to color in the images.

I hope she likes her card and of course the chocolates with raspberries she is getting as her birthday gift from me and Kelly.

I hope you share Nicole!!!!!wink!!

Enjoy,
Tiffany

Bloggers Challenge #88-Altered Item

My post is for my Bloggers Challenge group. We were suppose to alter something. I hope this project fits the bill!!! I needed to make a Big Shot 3D item for a Hawaii Incentive Trip Swap I am in and that are due on Monday. This is what I came up with . I hope they like it and that is also fits the bill for the Bloggers Challenge!!
This is a mini post-it note purse. Too stinkin' cute don't you think?? I was thinking about something you can make that is easy and not costly to give your hostess as a "Thank You" gift for hosting a workshop for you. So what do you think??

I used the awesome To the Nines Specialty DSP, the stamp set called Trendy Trees (too cute), Scallop Circle & Wide Oval Punches, 1/4" Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon and the Big Shot with the Top Note Die. I also picked up the mini post-it notes and divided the pad in half. To make the holes on top for the ribbon I just used our Crop-A-Dile and I secured the post-it note pad to the Top Note cut out with our Sticky Strip.

I hope you all like and consider this an Altered Item!!!

Have a great day!!

Utah Diva Inspiration Challenge #31

I recently joined the Utah Diva Group and they do weekly challenges. This one was actually give to us a couple of weeks ago and I am just know getting around to posting it!!! It sucks when life happens!!!LOL!!!
For this inspiration what really jumped at me besides the colors was the look of wood on the bottom of the candles so I decided to pull out my brand new Stampin' Up! Texture Plates Kit #4 and used the one that looks like wood to put texture on my Chocolate Chip Cardstock. I just LOVE these texture plates and they are soooo much fun to play with!!!

I also used the stamp sets called Good Friend & Glad Friends. Glad Friends is actually one of our brand new single stamps you can now purchase on page 208 of the Spring/Summer Catalog. This one is only $5.95!!! Is that not awesome??
Also used Good Morning Sunshine DSP, Summer Sun & Chocolate Chip Cardstock, Square Scallop Punch punched twice and Whisper White Organza Ribbon dieing it with my Summer Sun Classic Ink Pad.

Have a great day!!

Robin's Go-Diva Card Swap

I was just tickled pink when my new good friend, Robin M (she was the #1 Rising Star with Stampin' Up! in 2007), asked me to join her Go-Diva Swap Group!!! She is an amazing lady and I am so happy I have gotten to know her at Founder's Circle and hang out with her at Leadership. I can't wait to see her again when we met up in Hawaii next month thanks to Stampin' Up!
Robin has complied a group of about 30 wonderful ladies to do swaps with occasionally. This was my first time swapping with these ladies so let me say I was a little no alot nervous!! This is my card I came up with and had to make about 30 of them. I have already sent them off to Robin and am now just waiting for my package to come back with all the different cards from these wonderful ladies!! I will definitely share them with you all when I get them.

Bloggers Challenge #87-Inspiration & Kazan's Sketch #20

This card is for both my Bloggers Challenge Group and Kazan's Sketch #20. I decided to combine the two. I find it so hard to get inspiration from a picture but I do LOVE sketches!! For this inspiration piece I decided to go with color and of course the image on the bedding. I love that image!!!!

For my card I went with the now retired Parisian Summer DSP ( I was drawn to the burgundy color of the bedding), Bravo Burgundy & Pink Pirouette Cardstock, 1 1/4" Pink Pirouette Grosgrain Ribbon, Scallop Square Punch and the stamp set called Friends 24-7.
To make the scallop frame I just punched two scallop squares and layered them onto each other overlapping the last scallop. I love doing this!!!! By doing this you can make different sized frames.

Is that ribbon not yummy??

Have a great day!!

A Scrapbooking Event

**I am keeping this post at the top of my blog. Scroll down for newer posts. Thank you!!
That's right!! My friend and downline Kelly and I are going to be holding a Scrapbooking Event on February 22nd at my church, St Pauls Lutheran Church, in Haysville starting at 1pm. For this event we are going to be doing 8 12x12 layouts station style. The event will start promptly at 1pm when you will be given your packet of materials and you will just go to each station to finish your layout at your own pace. There will be no time limit so when you are done you are done. Kelly and I will be "manning" our stations assisting you in any way.
This event is 8 12x12 layouts for $20. We will have door prizes, light snacks and drinks will be available and guaranteed fun. This event has limited seating so make sure you RSVP to either myself or Kelly by February 19th. We will again be offering kits if you are unable to attend this day for $25 and completed kits for $30.
The above picture is a sneak peak at one of the 8 layouts you will be doing this day. And of course we will be using all the brand new product out of the brand new Spring/Summer Catalog from Stampin' Up! All you will supply is the pictures.
*Please bring your own adhesive & scissors

My Big Shot Die Storage

Since getting my very own Big Shot and ALL the wonderful dies Stampin' Up! offers I was at a loss for storage. I had no idea how I was going to store all these wonderful dies. I tried several things even storing them in a big box and hated all of them!! Then one day I was at Wal-Mart just wondering around (I like to do that on occasion) and came across these DVD storage towers. I thought that these should work so I purchased one at $9.97, took it home and viola. What do you think??
I also took a trip to Evansville last weekend and Joann's was having all their Sizzix products at 40% off so I picked up some dies that we don't carry (they are on the left hand side) and had to make another trip to Wal-Mart for one more DVD rack. I think I am good on storage for a long while unless Stampin' Up! decides to come out with even more awesome dies that I will just have to have!!!

I would love for anyone to share with me by leaving a comment on this post on how they store their own Sizzix dies.
Have a great day!!

New Technique Booklets

My clubs started back up this month with the release of the brand new Spring/Summer Catalog and I had several new ladies sign up. That always makes me soooo happy!!!!
Well these ladies needed their own Stampin' Technique Booklet to keep all their technique cards in so here they are. If you are new to my clubs and have not yet received yours you will!!!!

For these booklets I used the Rainbow Sherbet DSP along with the brand new Eyelet Border Punch (love that new punch!!) and Whisper White 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon. I think these turned out too cute!!! I hope the ladies like them!!

Have a Honey of a Day!

I made this card for my mother-in-law for her birthday on February 1st. I think it turned out too stinkin' cute!! Those bumble bees are just the cutest thing!!

On this card I did use some retired So Saffron Designer Series Prints Paper, 1/4" Whisper White Grosgrain Ribbon, the stamp set called Just Buzzin' By, a Blender Pen and my Watercolor Wonder Crayons. I just love using those with a Blender Pen. Makes coloring in images so easy and fast!!

Bloggers Challenge #86-Valentine

Our weekly Bloggers Challenge was to do something related to Valentine's Day. I decided to kill two birds with one stone by making a Valentine card for a swap I was in with my friends to make Valentine cards and also this card doubles as my card I am going to give my husband tomorrow. I hope he likes it and that you all like it too!!!
This card uses the now retired Georgia Peach DSP (love that paper!!), Regal Rose & Pretty in Pink Cardstock, Regal Rose 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon, Full Heart Punch, the stamp sets called A Little Somethin' (a brand new hostess stamp set) & the heart out of Short & Sweet and the Stampin' Up! Scallop Envelope Bigz Die with The Big Shot.
And of course the little goodie is Ghirardelli Chocolate Squares out of the assortment box. Soooo yummy!!!
I did use our Crystal Effects on the envelope to keep it together so it will hold the chocolate without popping open.
Have a great day!!!
