Challenge #4-Tag

This post is for another challenge group that I recently joined called Late Night Stampers Convention 2008. It is a Yahoo Group I was asked to join and so far I have learned soooo much from these incredible ladies!! They not only put out challenges for the week but there is so much information that everyone shares with everyone that I have been learning alot about the business side of my Stampin' Up! business. I just love it!!
So this week was our challenge #4 which was to make some kind of tag. I chose to make a Valentine heart shaped tag. I think it turned out so darn cute!! Don't you think??
For this tag I used our Petal Card Bigz Die with our Big Shot. Do you see it yet?? By taking the petal card you cut out fold down two of the sides and you have a heart. Too cute!!! I do have to tell you I did not come up with this on my own, I actually saw a couple of different swaps at Leadership earlier this month that showcased this idea and I was like OMG!!!
Also, for this tag I used Sweet Always DSP, Love You Much & Holidays & Wishes Stamp Sets, Scallop Circle Punch, 1/8" Handheld Circle Punch, Jumbo Eyelets with the Crop-A-Dile, Regal Rose 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon and Stampin' Dimensionals.

To make the tag I cut out three Petal Cards, attached two of them and used the third one for the tag. I also folded the top two folds down and placed the Scallop Circle Punch-out with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Too cute!!!

Bloggers Challenge #84-Birthday

I recently was asked to join a group of fellow bloggers that do a weekly challenge each week. We are assigned a themed challenge on Monday and have until that following Friday to create a project/card featuring that theme. We then upload the project/card to our blog and then start visiting everyone in the group to see what they have come up with. If you would like to see all kinds of great creations from these awesome bloggers just click on my link on my sidebar that says "Blogger Challenge" and a list will come up with everyone's links.
This is my creation using this weeks theme, birthday. I needed a birthday card for my niece, Kayla, AND she just loves Penguins. When I saw several of these Penguins in Splitcoast Stampers Gallery I just know I had to make one for her.
These Penguins are sooo easy to make and just so darn cute!! Using the Top Note Die with my Big shot I cut out two of them, one in black and one in white. Then you will need to trim off the perforated part of the white one so they will layer nicely on top of each other. I also used the 1/2" Circle Punch for the eyes, White uni-ball Signo Gel Pen for the eyes, the Small Oval Punch for her nose, Large Oval Punch for her arms and the Five Petal Flower Punch for her feet. I also used a Sponge Dauber with Pretty in Pink Ink for her cheeks, Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon for her bow, the stamp set called Big Bold Birthday, Riding Hood Red, Pumpkin Pie & Basic Black Cardstock and Rockabilly Specialty DSP.

I sure hope Kayla likes her Penguin card!!! And of course the money inside!!!
Happy Birthday Kayla!!! Sorry this is so late.

My Hostess Appreciation Day

Last Saturday was my Hostess Appreciation Day that I hold at the beginning of each new catalog that Stampin' Up! releases. I invite my past hostesses from that last catalog to come over for a full fun day that is all about them. This day I had around 40 ladies invited and 33 got to come. This was the most ladies I have had attend one of my hostess appreciation days and I was thrilled!!!

Here is my basement set up waiting for everyone to show up.

I was so excited to be able to display the brand new catalog, the brand new decor elements brochure, the sale-a-bration catalog and this lovely umbrella I got at Leadership this year.
I use our pool table for the project that they all got to do this day.

Here is the project they got to do while they were here that day. I used Rose Red, Kiwi Kiss & Regal Rose Cardstock, the brand new Raspberry Tart DSP, Rose Red 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon, Jumbo Eyelets with the Crop-a-dile, the brand new Stampin' Up! Sweetest Stem Embosslits Die with the Big Shot, Border Scallop Punch and the stamp sets Holidays & Wishes and the brand new Sweet Stems.

The inside of this awesome project. Is this not the neatest thing ever?? It is one of the easiest projects to make. All you need is one sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock, score at 5 1/2" (middle of 11" length), turn 90 degrees and score at 2", cut a "v" and fold up. Attach the sides with Sticky Tape. One side holds your regular sized cards and the other side holds the envelopes.
This project makes a great gift idea too.
These are the gifts I made for the ladies that re-signed up for this new Spring/Summer Catalog Clubs I will be having for the next 5 months. They received these bookmarks personalized with their first initial along with their new catty. They loved them!!!
I used our On Board Frames that Demonstrators got to order last year in bulk. I still have alot of them left over so I got those out and stamped on them, added our ribbon, our new Clear Rhinestone Brads and the stamp set called Lovely Letters. I have been wanting this stamp set for awhile now but did not want to get it and have to put it together. After this new catty came out I decided to order it since now ALL stamp sets are die cut!! This set of 30 stamps only took me about 10 minutes to put together since the letters were all die cut. Gotta love that!!!
Sorry this picture is not the best. Here is what the bookmark looks like in the catalog. Too cute!!! AND I forgot to make myself one!!! How could I do this??

I made these cute little gifts for my ladies that were in my clubs for the last catalog that did not miss one club meeting. This was their "Thank You" gift for making all the meetings.

I used our Decor Elements flower in Rose Red and purchased these sticky notes from Wal-Mart. To help this project stay together since most ladies will probably keep them in their purse I used our Crystal Effects, this stuff is like super glue for scrapbookers and I love it!!

All I did is measured my big sticky note pad and went from there making the booklet. Very easy and fast to make. All the ladies that received one just loved them and of course I made one for myself to carry around so I can mark all the wonderful pages of my new Spring/Summer Catalog. I am sure I will have almost every page in this awesome catalog!!
Too cute!!

These are the gifts I made for everyone that RSVP'd to come to my hostess day. These are the mini legal pads you can purchase at any office store. I picked mine up at Staples and had them cut them into 3rds for me. I attached magnets to the back of them so they can now hang them on anything they want for a quick note or list.

I think they turned out great and everyone just loved them.

These are some calendars I picked up at Target in the dollar bin that my good friend and downline, Kelly, altered for me. I used these as some door prizes. Did they not turn out too cute?? Thanks Kelly for doing this for me, it helped me alot!!!

She also did these for me too. These are also calendars that I picked up at Target in the dollar bin. They are just the bigger ones. These too turned out awesome!! Thanks Kelly again for all your help!!
I also had other pocket calendars that I picked up at Target that were already prettied up that Nicole, my good friend and upline, added some ribbon to them for me. They turned out awesome and I totally forgot to get a picture of them!! I had like 10 of them that I also gave away as door prizes. Thanks Nicole for doing that for me, it helped alot!!!
This is an area that I reserve for give aways. These items are raffled off if anyone places an order that day. They receive a ticket for every $5.00 they spend that day to choose which item they want a chance to win. Everyone always loves this and I do it at all my Hostess Appreciation Days.

Here is the food table. I always make the main portion of the meal, which I made chili this time, and everyone else signs up to bring other items. For every item they bring they get an extra ticket in the door prize drawing bucket. We always end up with lots of great food and lots to drink!!!

The ladies have started arriving!!!

Here I am showing off my brand new Stampin' Up! sweater I got at Leadership. Gotta love all the Stampin' Up! logo items they make available to us demonstrators.

Welcoming everyone.

I had everyone busy doing a word search using Stampin' Up! words while we were waiting on a few more to show up.

After everyone showed up and I went through all the awards I give out to my hostesses and all the new announcements from Stampin' Up! my hostesses got to play a very fun game that involves gift wrapping and prizes!!!!

This game is played to music and four different gifts being passed around the huge circle. When the music stops whoever is holding the gift gets to open it. The only thing about these gifts is no one know how many times they have been wrapped!!!!

It is always exciting to see who finally gets to the actual present.

For this game I had four gifts going around and had 6 winners!!! I usually put some small items in between some of the layers of wrapping. Everyone always has so much fun!!!

I also have contests going on where they can bring items they have made using all Stampin' Up! products. I have a card, layout and 3-D categories. Anyone is welcome to bring items for these categories and everyone gets to vote for their favorite in each group. Here Dianne won for her layout, Kelly won for her card and Sheila won for her 3-D item. They all get a FREE stamp set from me for winning. Thanks ladies for all the awesome items everyone brought. It was hard deciding on just one in each category to vote for!!!

Random pictures of everyone doing their projects, eating or just talking.

Here I am holding up the name of the lady who won the Grand Door Prize which was a bucket full of items from the brand new Retro Fresh Style Watch that is on page 10-11 of the brand new catty. This included the stamp set Cheep Talk, On Board So Tweet, Good Morning Sunshine DSP, Flower Assortment Designer Brads, Bright Delights Rub-Ons, Hooray Designer Hardware and Pig Tails Ribbon Originals. Emily H. won this awesome prize!!!! Congrats Emily for winning and thank you to all of you awesome ladies for coming!!!

To all of you!!!! I thank you for your friendship and business. I would not be where I am today without all of you!!!
**there is also other great prizes and specials that go on this special day but you have to be a hostess to take advantage of these. If you would like more information on how to become a hostess please email me anytime.

Yet Another Decor Element Gift

Here is yet another Decor Element gift I made for Jordan's godmother and cousin Codi for Christmas. I really like how this one turned out. Codi just got married so I made this for her with her new last name initial on it for their new home. I did use some retired DSP inside the frame. I picked this frame up at Micheal's. It is one of those 12x12 layout frames and it worked perfect since it is matted to 12x12 on the inside making the outside bigger. Our Together Forever Circle Frame fit perfect onto of the glass.

I also used our now retired ribbon too. Love it when you can use of the retired stuff for gifts!!!

This will be my last Decor Element Christmas gift that I post for a while. These are the only three gifts I made using the Decor Elements.

I am sure I will be using lots of our brand new Decor Elements this year!!! They are just awesome!! If you have not seen the brand new Decor Element Brochure make sure you click on the new photo on my sidebar to browse through this new 24 page long brochure or contact me and I can send you one for FREE.

Have a great day and if you are off due to the bad weather enjoy yourself indoors and make sure you get some scraping or stamping done today!!

Another Decor Elements Gift

Here is yet another gift I made for a Christmas gift this past Christmas. You might remember this post when I made one of these with a black frame. They are so easy to throw together for a last minute gift idea!!!
This time I decided to back the ornament with Real Red Cardstock. I think it turned out great and my sister really liked it!!

Have a great evening and stay warm. We are starting to prepare for our first major winter storm this evening. They are predicting up to maybe 10" of snow and for us that is ALOT!!!

A Decor Element Gift

Here is a Christmas gift I made for Griffen's godmother and cousin, Brittany. Our Decor Elements makes it so easy and nice to make those homemade gifts!! This gift uses an empty glass container I picked up at Michael's, filled it with glitter pine cones, applied our Decor Elements and finished it off with our striped ribbon that was in our last mini catalog that is no longer available. I wish this ribbon had made it into the new catalog. It is sooooo nice to work with and makes anything just look so elegant.

Have a great Sunday afternoon and stay warm!! It is just now starting to snow/sleet here. Yuck!!
