Late Night Stampers Challenge #40

This week over at Late Night Stampers Yahoo Group our Challenge #40 is (not) So Simple cards. This week we are making no layer cards. That is right, one piece of cardstock, stamps and whatever else you chose but NO layers! .As always, all materials must be current Stampin' Up! products. Deadline for submission is midnight on Sunday, October 11th!
Let me tell you this was a HARD challenge for me!! I am not one that can make a card without layers and I mean lots of layers!! So if I can do it so can you.
I have seen these kinds of cards all over the Internet and they are the first thing that popped into my mind when I was trying to come up with a card for this challenge. They are fun to make but I was really wanting to add some layers but knew I couldn't!! I do really like how this one turned out so I thought I would use the other stamps in this set and see if I could come up with a wreath for other holidays. I am not too wild about the next two cards but since I made them I thought I would post them for you to see. So be kind and keep in mind I was just experimenting.
My Christmas wreath card.
The above card uses the stamp sets called Pocket Silhouettes & Four the Holidays, Whisper White Cardstock, Real Red & Garden Green Classic Ink, Real Red 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon, 1" Circle Punch for a mask and my cutter using the scoring blade to score a photo box around my image.

My attempt at making a Halloween wreath card.

This card I used the same stamp set called Pocket Silhouettes & another stamp set called Tasty Sweet, Whisper White Cardstock, Perfect Plum & Old Olive Classic Ink, Old Olive 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon, 1" Circle Punch as mask and again I used my cutter with scoring blade to make the three scored lines on the right and left of image.

My attempt at making a Thanksgiving wreath card.

For this card I used the same stamp set again called Pocket Silhouettes & also used Harvest Home stamp set, Whisper White Cardstock, Really Rust & More Mustard Classic Ink, Whisper White 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon and 1" Circle Punch for my mask.

You would think this challenge is very easy but for some of us that like to layer it is not so easy!! But that is why they call it a challenge. So if I can do it so can you!! I hope to see lots of you try your hand at a no layer card and join in on the fun over at Late Night Stampers!!

Have a great day!!

Enjoy,
Tiffany
