Day #1 of Convention!!

Here are tons of pictures from Day #1 at Convention this year. This day is our check in day where we get to pick up our Convention Bag, find out what awards we will be receiving (we are not given any rankings until Awards Night though) and shop in Memento Mall.

Here Robin and I are right after we got to the Convention Center and who do we run into first?? Our very own Samantha our SAM. If you are not familiar with what a SAM is let me explain this to you. When you either reach the Executive level within Stampin' Up! or earn the yearly Incentive Trip you are assigned a Service Account Manager to help you with your business. Robin and I have both been assigned Samantha (we both had her last year too). Samantha is such a blessing and just the sweetest person you could ever meet!!!! We both love her dearly!!!

We finally made it to the booth for our Convention Bag and then got into line at the Awards Booth. This is the AWESOME booth where you find out what different awards you have won AND if you have been awarded one of the top honors from Stampin' Up! called Founder's Circle. Well both Robin and I were presented with our Founder's Circle Bag and both of us about fell over!!!! Okay really Robin about fell over!!!! I had an inkling I had achieved it by my high sales but you just never know if just your sales will get you into this top honor. To achieve this top honor you have to be getting an award in a couple different areas on Awards Night. AND you just don't know what it will be until you get to Awards Night. Last year I earned the Founder's Circle honor because I was the #1 Rising Star and then was also honored with #50 Top Demonstrator for the year. This year I knew I could not be the Rising Star again (this honor is only awarded once after your first full year with Stampin' Up!) so I knew I most likely will be in the Top Demo Category and I was right with being named #85 out of the top 100 (this is out of 50,000 active demonstrators). Now Robin and I AND lots of other great ladies are headed to St George, Utah in September for an all expense paid trip with Shelli (owner & founder of Stampin' Up!) to be pampered by Stampin' Up! I can't wait!!!!!

Here we are with Ruth Bingle. She is a dear friend and was #2 Rising Star with me last year. She also was honored with a Founder's Circle Bag. You go girl!!!!!

After receiving this top honor I then had to sign paperwork and take a picture to be included in the Year Book with all the achievers of this top honor. It is such a great keepsake to keep from this awesome trip!!!

I ran into Dawn Rapsas after getting my picture taken. She is such an awesome lady!!! She was later named the #1 Top Demonstrator of the Year!!!! WOOHOO, you go girl!!!!!

We also ran into Robin's upline, Christina Crawford. What an amazing lady she is!!!!

We also ran into the very talented Patty Bennett!!!! She is soooo talented and one of the sweetest ladies you will ever meet!!!

We finally made it out into the hall and ran into Pat Chastain. She was in the Rising Star circle last year with me and what a hoot she is!!!! Luv ya girl!!!
Before we left for Convention I arranged a seat on a bus trip to the home office for both of us. Last year Stampin' Up! offered the bus trip to the home office with a tour for everyone that signed up for it. We went last year but one of the ladies with us got a bad headache so we left right away after arriving and did not go on the tour. Anyway this year I wanted to take the tour but Stampin' Up! was not offering bus trips to the home office. They still were doing the tours if you could get yourself to the home office which is about a 45 minute bus trip from the Convention Center. I got hooked up with Meg Loven who was offering seats on a bus she had rented for only $12 a person. You know I hopped right on that and signed Robin and I up for it. I am so happy we did because this place is just awesome!!! Here we are outside the building.

Right inside the building you will see these banners hanging from the ceiling. I just had to get a picture of us with these banners. If you look closely you will see both Robin and I in this picture!!!

The first room we stopped in is a room called the Legacy Room. This huge room is just awesome and is full of decorated little rooms. This picture above is actually a video that is playing the whole time you are in there. I love how I captured a still frame of Shelli!!

Here is an area decorated for children. Robin and I actually got down to their level for this picture but boy was it hard to get back up!!LOL!!!

Too cute!!

Just look at this living room area that Shelli just completed before Convention. It showcases our brand new Decor Stencils. Just Beautiful!!!

After leaving that room we headed to the training room. Here Robin is trying to teach me how to stamp!!!!LOL!!!

They had these huge comfy beanbags in there too and I just couldn't help myself to little R&R!!!

They also had this area filled with tables, chairs and the walls were all covered with these slick writer boards (name ??). They had slick writers left for us to write our own personal messages on to Stampin' Up!

Here is a shot into the packing and shipping warehouse. We learned all about how our orders are packaged for shipment to us. Very cool!!!!

After our tour we all took some time in the "lunch area" to take in the beautiful view and of course take some more pictures!!! Here I am with the fantastic Tami White!! She was named #4 Top Demonstrator of the Year this year and is such a nice lady!!!

Look at these stairs!!! Robin and I just couldn't resist a picture!!

AND Robin just couldn't resist!!!LOL!!!! Luv ya girl!!!
After arriving back to the Convention Center we decided to tackle the long long line at Memento Mall.

Look at some of the goodies that are waiting for us inside!!!

Now we are in and look at this dress made out of our DSP!!!!! Just awesome!!

They had Christmas Ornaments for us to purchase.

Do you think we bought too much??? I don't think so!!!!LOL!!!!!

Now onto dinner. We had a planned dinner and swap with an awesome group of ladies called UDI, Utah Diva's International. These ladies are soooooo creative and just plain nice!!

Here I am enjoying a cocktail before dinner, yummy!!!

This is just one of our long tables!!!

Yes, we have gold stars on our heads!!! We are the UDI Bees!! In this picture is Robin, Selene and myself.

Here is our Queen Bee, Maxine Conrad, with our two waiters for the evening. Maxine is a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, a SAM with Stampin' Up! and our Queen Bee on UDI. She is one awesome lady!!!!
After dinner we all went outside for our Card Swap and then our 3-D Swap. You can see my project HERE. I did not get into the card swap, too much to do and sooooo little time!!!!

Here I am with the item I won from the 3-D Swap. I just LOVE it!!!!! It is a heavy duty picture frame with butterflies inside. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT!!!!!

That is it for the first day of Convention. Make sure you check back for lots more pictures to follow!!!

Enjoy,
Tiffany
