This card is for two challenges!! First it is my SSUS Weekly Challenge that was to pick a current stamp set that I think might be retiring next month since the brand new Stampin' Up! Catalog is coming out July 1st and also a new sketch challenge that my fellow Late Night Stampers Bloggin' Stars, MaryJo, has on her blog every Monday called Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge. This one is Challenge #71. Most of you know by know I just LOVE sketches and challenges even more so I decided to play along this week and am so happy I did!!
Below is my card that I already mailed out to my SSUS partner. I picked the stamp set called Close As a Memory. It is a great stamp set but it has been around for awhile and we now have a couple of great sympathy sets so I think this one is heading to the retirement list in June. That's right the retirement list is coming out in June so make sure to watch my blog tomorrow for the list!!! This will be your last chance to order some of your all time favorites that might be retiring!!
My card started with the above sketch, Tea Party DSP, So Saffron & Certainly Celery Cardstock, So Saffron 7/8" Poly-Twill Ribbon, Stampin' Write Markers and the Eyelet Border Punch.
This card could also be considered for the Stampin Up Late Night Stampers Yahoo Group Challenge which is Summer Time. These colors I used and the flower stamp just screams summer even though the theme of the card does not. Make sure you head on over to our brand new Yahoo Group and sign up for FREE. You have until midnight tonight to get your creations uploaded to be eligible for the Design Team voting that takes place on Monday.Have a great day!!
