I recently was asked to join a group of fellow bloggers that do a weekly challenge each week. We are assigned a themed challenge on Monday and have until that following Friday to create a project/card featuring that theme. We then upload the project/card to our blog and then start visiting everyone in the group to see what they have come up with. If you would like to see all kinds of great creations from these awesome bloggers just click on my link on my sidebar that says "Blogger Challenge" and a list will come up with everyone's links.
These Penguins are sooo easy to make and just so darn cute!! Using the Top Note Die with my Big shot I cut out two of them, one in black and one in white. Then you will need to trim off the perforated part of the white one so they will layer nicely on top of each other. I also used the 1/2" Circle Punch for the eyes, White uni-ball Signo Gel Pen for the eyes, the Small Oval Punch for her nose, Large Oval Punch for her arms and the Five Petal Flower Punch for her feet. I also used a Sponge Dauber with Pretty in Pink Ink for her cheeks, Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon for her bow, the stamp set called Big Bold Birthday, Riding Hood Red, Pumpkin Pie & Basic Black Cardstock and Rockabilly Specialty DSP.
Happy Birthday Kayla!!! Sorry this is so late.

Thanks, too, for solving the mystery of how everyone gets the cool borders around their Top Note-I was thinking they "free handed" it. (rolling my eyes at myself, lol) TFS!!

Hello everyone,
Wow, how totally cool are you card designs! keep up the good work, you have a real talent! I have tried to make my own greetings cards in the past, but failed! I think I went a bit crazy on the old glitter glue! There are so many people that don't really agree with sending e-cards, I think maybe they feel that it is a lazy way to send a greeting, and are more in favor of the traditional way of buying a 'real' card, and sticking a stamp on it and popping it in the post.
However, I think this is one of those cases of 'don't knock it till you've tried it', I am a fan of electronic greetings cards. A lot of my computer wiz kid mates introduced me to e-cards, and that is how I began using them. I think when you try something new, you are recommended it by word of mouth, and that is exactly what happened to me.
I have recently been sending my friends a Happy Birthday e-Card greeting when they are at work! They just said it was a really idea and that it brightens up their day. I have tried quite a lot of e-Card sites, and I have now found a really cool Free Happy Birthday Day e-Card site that I really like. This particular site has an awesome application where you can upload a photograph of yourself and incorporate it into your card. This is such a clever idea, and adds that personal touch, and as I already mentioned this particular site is totally free. I think e-Cards are definitely worth a try, they are not for everyone, but I am becoming a fan! Just wanted to share my findings with you all. Hope you find this useful, Have a good rest of your afternoon, Nicole.
