Goodie Box Tutorial

IT IS HALLOWEEN!!

This is my final day of posting for Halloween. I hope you have enjoyed these projects and that you have a great Halloween!!!

You remember the box I posted here? I had promised you all the tutorial to make this box and I also wanted to show it to you finished with a bag of candy inside. So what do you all think?? I hope you all like it and here goes with the tutorial.

Start with a piece of cardstock 8 1/4" x 8 1/4". Score it at 2 3/4" on all four sides. Then score at each corner making two triangles in each corner square.

Start by creasing all your score lines. Then take your corner pieces and fold outward.

No need to use to adhesive.

We are going to use the Crop-A-Dile and our Jumbo Eyelets to fasten the sides together.

Do the same on the other side to form a box.

Using StazOn, Watercolor Paper, Crayons and our Aqua Painter.

Start coloring in your image.

Decorate your box.

I used the Small Flat Cellophane Bags in these boxes.

Too cute!!!

Enjoy,

You Rock Candy Holder

Here we are in day 4 of my week long Halloween posts. I hope you are enjoying these different projects. Watch for a great tutorial tomorrow to end my week long posting of Halloween.
You Rock!
Isn't this just the neatest thing?? I used the Ghostly Greetings DSP, cut the 12x12 to 6x6 and adhered two of the sides together with our sticky strip. I made the handle out of our Basic Black Cardstock cut to 8 x 1/2 and attached it to the cone with our silver brads. Using the Just Jawing Stamp Set I stamped the skull in black and cut it out. I used the 2-Way Glue Pen and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter on the eyes and teeth of the skull. I also attached the skull with sticky strip. I just love that stuff!!! Everything stays right where it is suppose to!!
This is the Small Flat Cellophane Bags filled with candy and tied with Kiwi Kiss 5/8" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon.

I stamped the "You Rock" stamp in Basic Black on Whisper White Cardstock and layered it on Kiwi Kiss & Basic Black Cardstock. I hand cut the sideways "V" on the one end and used a silver brad on the other end. Before adhering it to my cone with sticky strip I bent it in a couple of places to make it look more like a banner.

Have a great day!!!

Halloween Bundle

This is day 3 of my week long Halloween posts.
Isn't this just awesome?? I am soooooo loving my Big Shot!!!!! If you don't have one yet I highly recommend you get one and soon!!
This Halloween bundle was made using the Big Shot w/the Pennant Bigz XL Die, Scallop Circle Bigz Die, Scallop Envelope Bigz Die and Serif Essentials Bigz Alphabet Die Set.
(I saw this pennant AND box idea at Founder's Circle)

On the Pennant I used Kiwi Kiss Cardstock to make the actual pennant, our Ghostly Greetings DSP to make the large scallop circle using our Scallop Circle Bigz Die, the Serif Essentials Bigz Alphabet Die Set to make the "BOO", Wide Oval Punch to back the "O's" with Whisper White Cardstock, 1" Circle Punch to make the eyes out of Basic Black Cardstock, Pumpkin Pie & Basic Black 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon and a dowel rod.

The box is made out of the Scallop Envelope Bigz Die. You will need to cut four of them adhering them together with the side flaps and then adhering the bottom together. I also cut the "flap" of the box with our Ghostly Greetings DSP and adhered that to the flap of each envelope. The bag filled with candy is our Large Flat Cellophane Bag tied with Kiwi Kiss 5/8" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon.

The tag for the box is made using our Scallop Circle, 1 3/8" Circle, 1 1/4" Circle & Horizontal Slot Punches, Batty for You Stamp Set that I colored with my markers and again I used my Kiwi Kiss 5/8" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon.
I hope you are enjoying these Halloween projects so far. I still have a couple more planned until Halloween gets here.

Enjoy,

Trick or Treat Spider

Here we are in day 2 of my week of Halloween posts.
This is a card I made for a workshop make'n take I had several weeks ago. I wanted to show them how to make this spooky spider with the Scallop Circle Punch. I took the idea I saw on several blogs about using the Scallop Circle Punch to make a ladybug and decided to use it to make a spider. I used 4 scallop circles, folded them in half and attached them together forming the body of the spider. The head is made out of our 1" Circle Punch. After your spooky spider is made just take a black pen and draw his legs. Too Spooky!!!!
For the rest of the card I used our Ghostly Greetings DSP, Pumpkin Pie & Basic Black Cardstock, Tasty Sweet & Eat, Drink & Be Scary Stamp Sets and the Ticket Corner Punch. This card was made to be 4x4.

Until tomorrow for more Halloween treats.

Enjoy,

Spooky Spider Candy Jars

I want to kick off the week of Halloween with a "themed" week of posts. So for the rest of this week I will be posting ONLY Halloween projects I have created. So sit back and enjoy!!!
These are the jars I have made for my two youngest kiddos to give to their teachers and aides for Halloween. I will be sending them to school with them on Friday. I hope they like them!!!

I started with a $1.97 glass jar I bought at Wal-Mart and filled it with candy. I then took our Spooky Spider Decor Elements in small and put him on the outside of the jar. I added Tangerine Tango 5/8" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon to the lid of the jar. After taking these first two pictures I decided I needed to add some tags to my jar.

So here are my jars complete with a tag. These tags were made using Batty for You and Booglie Eyes Stamp Sets, Scallop Circle, 1 3/8" Circle & 1 1/4" Circle Punches and Cardstock in Tangerine Tango, Kiwi Kiss and Basic Black. I also used Kiwi Kiss 5/8" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon on one of the jars (this one is for Griffen's aide who is a man, all others are women).

Until tomorrow when I show you how to make a spooky spider out of punches.

Enjoy,

October Scrapbooking Club Layouts

These are the layouts my Scrapbooking Club got to do this month, October.
Layout #1
They got to do the left side of this layout. I showed them how they could make it into a double layout showcasing six more photos. They just loved that trick!!!

Layout #2
This layout taught them the technique called "moonlighting". I just love that technique and so did they!!!!

Layout #3
This layout introduced my scrappers to VersaMark. Several of the ladies had never used this product!! They really had fun with it!!!

If you are local and are interested in scrapbooking, gather five other friends and start a club!!! Clubs will be forming again in January. Just email me if you are interested.

Halloween Frights Box

I just love making these boxes. I am going to share a tutorial on how to put these together in a couple of days (I need to take some pics of me putting them together). I have done this box before for Easter. You can check it out here.
This box I threw together super fast and forgot to add any candy to it!!! I will get that done too and take a new picture for you to see it all complete. For now I just wanted to show you something for Halloween using our Watercolor Paper, Aqua Painter, Crayons and the stamp sets called Autumn Harvest & Halloween Frights. And I used the Crop-A-Dile and our Jumbo Eyelets on this box too. Too Cute!!!!!

Until tomorrow!!!

Treat Bags

Aren't these just the cutest thing? I just love making these guys and having the Big Shot is making it soooo easy to make all these awesome projects!!!
These treat bags were made using the Top Note Bigz Die, then fold them in half and you have a bag topper that fits our Small Flat Cellophane Bags. If you fold the Top Note die cut on the long side you have a bag topper that fits out Medium flat Cellophane Bags. I decorated these bag toppers using our Ghostly Greetings DSP and Tasty Sweet Stamp Set.

These would make great Halloween treats for all your trick or treaters!!!

Halloween Frights

I did this card for a Holiday Mini cardfront swap I was involved in a couple of weeks ago. I am pretty sure I got a card back showcasing all the stamp sets out of the Holiday Mini except one. Not bad!!
I am loving ALL the stamp sets out of the Holiday Mini!! It was a tough decision to just pick one to use for this swap but since Halloween is one of my favorite holidays I choose this stamp set called Halloween Frights found on page 4. Paired with our Ghostly Greetings DSP this card turned out great (if I do say so myself).
On this card I also used the Scallop Border, 1" Circle, 1 1/4" Circle & 1 3/8" Circle Punches, 1/16" Handheld Punch, Pumpkin Pie, Kiwi Kiss & Basic Black Cardstock and Basic Black 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon.
Have a great day!!

Rising Stars '08

Look at what I made for each of the 15 Rising Stars. I brought these to Founder's Circle with me to give to each one of them (I had confirmed with my SAM that all of us would be there). They are a photo album made out of our 6x6 refill pages. I used 8 refill pages for each album because I had an alternative motive for making these albums for all 15 Rising Stars. I asked each one of them if they would be willing to go home and make 15 6x6 "All About Me" layouts that we could then swap with each other and have a finished scrapbook of all the Rising Stars of '08. We also took a full group photo while we were at Founder's Circle too (#13, Robin, was not at Convention so that picture is not a complete picture). I have this picture and will be giving a copy of it to all 15 Rising Stars to also put in our album. How cool is this?? I just love the fact we will have this keepsake to keep for ever!! I hope all the other ladies will enjoy this too.

This album was made with Bravo Burgundy & Pink Pirouette Cardstock, Parisian Summer DSP, The Big Shot w/the Top Note Bigz Die & Go Go Boots Sizzlits Alphabet Die Set, Scallop Border & Corner Rounder Punches, Pretty in Pink & Bravo Burgundy 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon, Crop-A-Dile w/Jumbo Eyelets and Starring You & In the Stars Stamp Sets.
I can't wait to see every ones layouts about themselves along with a picture of them self.
Enjoy,
Tiffany

My Founder's Circle Swap

Here is my swap card I took to Founder's Circle last month. We were asked to bring 135 cardfronts to swap with everyone that attended FC. That is ALOT of swaps and let me tell you I got pretty sick of this card after about the 80th cardfront!!!! It is really hard to make that many swap cards of the same design. Anyhooh I got them done and swapped at FC!! I did come home with tons of awesome card fronts too!!!
This card uses Riding Hood Red & Pink Pirouette Cardstock, Tres Chic Background Stamp, Cute & Curly Stamp Set, Curly Label, Scallop Border & Ticket Corner Punches and Riding Hood Red 5/8" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon.

Want to know how you make this awesome scallop square? Take a 2 3/4" square piece of cardstock. Using the Scallop Border Punch place it on one side of the square piece of cardstock, centering the cardstock in the punch and punch. Repeat this on all sides and you will have this cute little scallop square.
Have fun playing!!

Tiffany

8x8 Recipe Layout

I have an ongoing 8x8 recipe swap I hold every three months. I have sign ups for about 30 days and then get the list out to everyone that signs up telling them how many recipes to make and the due date (which is about 2 months out). I always run a different "theme" so ladies that have been involved in the swapping can sign up for whichever ones they want. This recipe was for my last batch of recipes we swapped. We had 17 ladies so that means I make 17 of the same layout to swap with all the ladies. This recipe "theme" was appetizers.
After doing this for a couple of years I now can say I have an awesome cookbook!!! Anyone that is interested in this kind of swap just leave me a comment here and I will get in touch with you. I am now taking sign ups for the next recipe swap which will be due to me by January 14th with the "theme" being Healthy Heart Recipes. That evening I swap them all out and get them back to you the following week.

This recipe was done using Rose Red & Pink Pirouette Cardstock, Silver Brads and the hostess stamp set called Spring Solitude from the last Spring/Summer Catalog.

Halloween Pillow Boxes

I just love making these things!! AND they are so easy to make if you own Stampin' Up!'s Big Shot. This baby is awesome and really easy to use, my kiddos can even use it to make things for themself. Gotta love that!!
On these Pillow Boxes I used our Big Shot w/the Pillow Box Bigz Die, Ghostly Greetings DSP, some of our awesome ribbon and added tags to each of them using Eat, Drink & Be Scary Stamp Set out of the Holiday Mini. On the tags I used the Tag, Small Tag, Curly Label & 1 3/4" Circle Punches.

This one is filled with candy. Yummy!!!!

This one is filled with several yards of different ribbon for a door prize at a workshop coming up.

And this last one has candy in it.

Have a great weekend!!

Enjoy,
