My Birthday and Some BLOG CANDY!!

*SCROLL DOWN FOR NEWER POSTS
Soon it will be my birthday and I want to celebrate it with everyone!!!! This has been such an amazing year for me both in my personal and crafty world I thought I would share some BLOG CANDY with everyone to help celebrate my birthday!! This is what I am offering: I store all my cardfronts I receive in swaps with fellow SU demonstrators while at Convention, Regionals and organized swaps in this altered notebook I have that I take with me everywhere. I love taking it to workshops with me so everyone can just look through it and fall in love with all the items Stampin' Up! has to offer. Everyone always finds something in there they just have to have!!!! Well after just getting back from Convention this year I collected tons of brand new awesome cardfronts featuring ALL brand new stamp sets that are in this NEW AWESOME Catalog and I found that I have no room for them in my binder. I decided to clean house so now I have all these older cardfronts looking for new homes so they can become full cards that can be used for all kinds of occasions. Soooooo with that said I am offering them up as BLOG CANDY!!!! I have over 200 cardfronts waiting for a new home so all you need to do is leave a comment here on this post wishing me a "Happy Birthday" and you will be entered in to win some of these cardfronts. Anyone can enter and there will be 4 winners annouced. This blog candy will be up until the actual day of my birthday which is August 28th. I will post the winners that day at 6:00PM so you have until then to leave me a birthday wish!!!
HAVE A GREAT DAY!!
**edited to answer some questions about my book and what is inside.
I just bought a notebook from Wal-Mart that my page protectors fit in. I purchased Polaroid Vinyl Photo Pages from Century. They hold 8 cardfronts.

Something Different

I know this is not Stampin' Up! related but I am sooooo proud of myself I just had to share it with you. I have been to several Uppercase Living parties in the last 6 months and have had these transfers just laying around collecting dust. I thought I would try and get some of them put up this past weekend and this is what I have gotten done so far.
This transfer is on the wall above the opening into our living room from the kitchen/dining room area. The transfer is a two part transfer but I did not like it on top of each other because the space I put it on was too big for it. So I decided to off set it a bit and I really like how it turned out!!

This is another two parter I put up in my bathroom. In our bathroom our toilet is in its own little room with a door. Don't you just love my phone in the toilet room??heehee!!

Stay tuned tomorrow when I post some transfers I have done with our very own Decor Elements line!!!

August Stamp Club

These are the three projects my 3 Stamp Clubs got to do this month. This was the very first month of my brand new stamp clubs and it was soooo much fun!!! Each club has 6 members and we will meet at my house for 6 months rotating who the hostess is. It is super fun and a great way to learn new projects, new techniques and you get to do 6x6 scrapbook page. I do have one scrapbook club is that starting in September because we only have 5 members in that club. They will each get to do 3 12x12 scrapbook pages each month and rotate who the hostess is. I will be posting their projects as well but after the class is over so I don't ruin any surprises!!!
#1 Project
My first Stamp Club Project is called a "Bag in a Box" and I have seen these all over the net and on Splitcoaststampers. They are super easy to make and sooooo much fun!!!! All my ladies were really excited to make one and some are even planning on doing these for either Halloween or Teacher's gifts in the future. This box is made using Summer Picnic DSP, Real Red CS, Felt Fusion Flowers, Rhinestone Brads and Real Red Striped Grosgrain Ribbon.

#2 Project

My second project was my technique card. I taught them Faux Silk (which I learned at Convention). Boy was this one fun and again soooo easy!!!! I also showed them how to die white ribbon to match any color of ink they have on hand. This card uses Inspired by Nature, Baja Breeze, Pink Pirouette and Chocalate Chip CS, Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon and Baja Breeze ink.

#3 Project

This 6x6 layout was also done by all my club members. After completing it I showed them how to convert it to a 8 1/2 x 11 scrapbook page and then into a 12x12 scrapbook page (learned this at convention too).
This completed page was inspired by the Color Coach (love that thing). I used Certainly Celery as the base for the 6x6 layout and then used Rose Red and Barely Banana on the layout. The stamp sets used are Heard from the Heart and Eastern Blooms. I used the Build-A-Brads, Photo Corner Punch and Natural Hemp Twine.

Here is what I came up with for the 8 1/2 x 11 layout.

And here is my final 12 x 12 layout.
I hope everyone at club enjoyed these projects and look forward to next months!!!
If anyone is interested in their own club please let me know. It is never too late to get one started and you go away with lots of great ideas and projects!!!

Stampin' Technique Booklets

These two albums are what I made for two of my Stamp Clubs (I still need to get a picture of the third groups book and will post later). I saw this idea at Convention and just went with it!!!! This month I started my very first stamp club and after sign ups where over I have THREE full Stamp Clubs and ONE full Scrapbook Club!!! I am soooo super excited for this new adventure in my Stampin' business. After the groups were full I decided to give each of them a name hence the design of their books. The top picture is for the Bella Rose Gals and the bottom picture is for the Sock Monkeys. My other Stamp Club is named the Wow Flowers and my Scrapbook Club is name the Georgia Peaches. This is just too much fun!!!!! Stay tuned for the posting of the projects that the Stamp Clubs got to do this month.

Apron Recipe Layout

This is my 8 x 8 recipe page I did for our last recipe swap in July. I have sign ups for a recipe swap every three months and we just rotate what kind of recipe we want to do. We have been doing these for about 1 1/2 now and I know I have a great collection going of awesome recipes and beautiful pages to look at!! We usually have around 17-21 ladies sign up each time. I think we will just keep doing this kind of swap until the interest is gone.
I found a tutorial on Maren's blog showing you how to make one of these aprons. Isn't it just the cutest thing ever?? I had so much fun making these for everyone. On my apron I added the scallop edge by using my 1/2" Circle Punch and adhering them to the back side of the apron, I also used the Key Tag Punch and cut them in half to make the pockets on the front of the apron. Too cute!!!
This paper is the Darling Doodles from two catalogs ago. I was sad to see it retire when it did but I know that our DSP has to retire to make room for new awesome DSP and if you haven't seen the brand new catalog that just came out you are missing out!!! There is so many awesome DSP's in there that I think I ordered almost every pack for myself!!! Let me know if you would like to take a peak yourself or better yet I can tell you how to get your very own copy of the brand new catalog for FREE!!! Just email me.
On the apron I did use the stamp set called From the Kitchen of, our small and large Oval Punches, our Round Tab Punch, the Crop-A-Dile to set the jumbo eyelets (which is the only thing on this layout that is not Stampin' Up!) and if you look closely enough I even sewed on this layout. Yes, I love to sew on paper!!!!

HAVE A GREAT DAY!!

Cute Little Pouch

Isn't this guy just the cutest?? I love doing these pouches!! They are soooo easy and fast to do!! This pouch uses the now retired Cutie Pie DSP and the now retired stamp set called Tagger's Dozen. I love that stamp set because it works great with our Tag Punches!! I am going to miss that one!!
This pouch it made with a 8 x 8 piece of DSP (you could use cardstock but DSP is already decorated for you on both sides). Fold one corner to the opposite corner to make a "triangle". Then fold the right arm over to the opposite side in the middle and then fold the left arm over to the opposite side in the middle. Fold down the top layer over the arms and ta da you have a pouch!!! So easy!!!

Bye, Bye Retired Items!!

Here is a pull out invitation I did for someone. She wanted an example of something she could do for a bridal shower invite. I made this a while back (I am waiting patiently for my brand new stuff to show up so I can play with all the new stuff we now have, but until then I will be showing you some stuff I have made but never posted). I used the now retired LeJardin DSP, now retired Soft Sky CS and Ribbon and the stamp set called Please Come that is still available in the new catalog. I just love this stamp set!!! It makes it really easy to make invitations to anything!! This kind of card is made with the same size of cardstock you would use to make a regular card. You cut it at 4 1/4" and then score it at 5 1/2" and 1". Fold the card at the 5 1/2" score line and then fold down the 1" score outward. I just let the ribbon hold the card together but you could staple the sides. Using adhesive on the sides might make the slide out not slide out to easily.

Hostess Appreciation Project

This is the project I add for all my hostess' that came to my Hostess Appreciation Day. Everyone got half of the Simply Scrappin' Summer Days scrapbooking kit. I also gave each one 5 6x6 page protectors to make the book.
