Scrapbooking Day

Come join me and my downline, Kelly Birrell, as we make 8 12x12 Scrapbook layouts using all BRAND NEW Stampin’ Up! products from the BRAND NEW Fall/Winter Catalog.

There will be door prizes to win, specials, finger foods, drinks and a mystery hostess drawing.

We will be meeting at St Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville on September 6th at 1:00pm until done. Please register by September 1st to make sure your spot is reserved. I am sure these spots will fill up fast!!! So plan on attending and get a bunch of pages done. All you will have to do when you get home is put your pictures on your layouts and they will be done. What could be better than that?

The Scrapbooking Day will be 8 12x12 layouts for $15. You will receive a $5 credit that evening if you place a $25 minimum Stampin’ Up! order. You will then also be placed in the drawing for the mystery hostess. We also have a special treat for anyone placing any kind of order that day!!! We are again offering kits if you can not make it that day for $18. These kits will have everything stamped for you all you will have to do is put them together. For the first time ever we are offering completed layout kits for $23. These kits will be completely done for you, all you will have to do is put your own pictures on them and they will be complete!!

I Love A Good Mail Day!!!

I always love a good mail day!!!! Look at these RAK's I received in the mail last week. Aren't they the cutest??

This first one is from my new blogging friend, Marilyn. She sent this card with a note to thank me for the wonderful blog candy she won from me awhile back. I just think this card is too cute!!! Thanks Marilyn for the wonderful card!!! I just LOVE getting mail!!!!

This card I received from my 3rd level upline, Darla. She sends out cards every month to her top 5 ladies in sales. I was #1 so I got this adorable card from her with such a lovely note inside. I just love getting cards from Darla each month!!! She is such a sweet lady and an awesome upline!!!

I am at Convention in Salt Lake City, UT right now so when I get back I will update you all with all the brand new exciting things going on with Stampin' Up! But for now I have scheduled posts to post each day until I return.

My Final Swap-Mini Scrapbook Plus Tutorial

Here is my FINAL swap that I signed up for at Splitcoast Stampers. I am also including a tutorial on how to make one of these mini scrapbooks. This will be my first tutorial I have posted so bear with me!!!! First off this mini scrapbook was made out of one 12x12 sheet of pattern paper. I used the retiring Berry Bliss Designer Series Paper for this project. I just love this paper too and am going to miss it when it is gone!!!! To finish off the project I used the stamp set Always, Purely Pomegranate Ribbon, Ink and Cardstock, Rhinestone Brads, Photo Corner Punch and On Board Lots of Letters.

Tutorial:

~Take your 12x12 pattern paper and score it at 6 inches.

~Turn it once and then score every 3 inches.

~Make a cut on the 6 inch score line between the first and last 3 inch score line.

~Fold paper along 6 inch score line and pull out on the middle 3 inch score line.

~Fold into a book.

~Tear first page to make a pocket. You can put adhesive on the bottom to keep the page together. I made a pull out for the front of my book and decorated it they way I wanted.

~Decorate each page as you want.

~On pages 3 and 4 you will fold down top corner as I did and then put adhesive on the inside of the paper to keep pages together. I put my brad on first and taped together so I did not have my brad poking through to the next page.

Pretty easy after you get the hang of the fold. If you try your hand at one link me up so I can see your finished project.

I leave in 14 hours for convention!!!

I won't be blogging while I am gone but I have scheduled some posts to post while I am gone. When I get back on Sunday I will be sure to update everyone with lots of pictures!!!!

"Dream" Swap on SCS

This Photo Flower Pot is for a "Dream" swap I signed up for on Splitcoast Stampers. I think it turned out sooooo cute!!!! Who wouldn't want one of these on their work station full of candy???

We were allowed to use anything in the current catalog because this swap was more for the ideas then the actual item. So I used the rest of the Bali Breeze Designer Series Paper, Taken With Teal, Pumpkin Pie, Rose Red Cardstock and Old Olive Ribbon. I used the 5-Petal and Boho Flower punches to make the flowers, layered them and attached the Rhinestone Brads. On the bottom of the pail I used our brand new Scallop Board Punch to make the "grass". I then filled the container with candy. Too cute!!!!

The containers were purchased at my local Wal-Mart for 97 cents and I'm not kidding!!!! I found them back in the craft section and they had a ton of them.

Just Priceless!!!

6x6 SCS Double Page Swap #2

Here is my final 6x6 layout swap I signed up for at Splitcoast. It is again a double layout for the Convention themed swap. I used the stamp set Sweet Celebrations along with the Western Sky Designer Series Paper. I sure am going to miss this paper after it retires!!! I used the corner rounder to make my scallop edge cardstock. It would have been so much easier to use our brand new scallop border punch!!!!!LOL!!!!! Well I had these done awhile ago before I even knew we were going to have a brand new punch. That's what I get for getting some of my swaps done early!!

2 more days until we leave!!!!!

6x6 SCS Double Page Swap #1

Some more 6x6 layouts!! This one is a double layout spread for another swap I signed up for at Splitcoast to swap at Convention. This swap is for a 6x6 double layout to help celebrate Convention. The lady that organized this swap thought it would be a great idea to do pages with the theme of Convention so when we get home we can just add our photos and our scrapbook would be done. Can't get any better than that!!!!

On this double layout I used Bali Breeze Designer Series Paper and the stamp set called So Much. I really am going to miss these two when they retire in two weeks!!! The rules of our swap said to use ANYTHING since they are for our own pictures and enjoyment (of course I will share them with everyone so they can see all the pretty layouts and all the fun we had at Convention!!). I also used the word "wow!" out of Amazing to Zany, the word "fun" out of Everyday Flexible Phrases, the Flower Fusion flowers and Rhinestone Brads. I also used the Cutter Kit to distress the sides of my Old Olive photo mats.

6x6 SCS Convention Swap #2

This is my second set of 6x6 layouts that I signed up for at Splitcoast for Convention. These are for the track 7 swap. I signed up in two different groups (the more the merrier is what I say!!!). I know you are all saying I am crazy but I just couldn't stop myself from joining in on all these swaps!!! I will be posting more in the days to come!!!

I used the Life's a Breeze stamp set. I did stamp "Sun Fun" all over the Kraft Cardstock but you can't see it very well in these photos. I used the 5-Petal Punch and punched flowers in Rose Red and Regal Rose and layered them on top of each other. The images were stamped in Regal Rose and punched out with the 1" Circle Punch. The yellow photo mat is So Saffron.

4 more days until I leave for Convention!!!!!! Can you tell I am a little excited?? I already can't sleep at night wanting the days to go by fast so we can get there!!!

6x6 SCS Convention Swap #1

I think I signed up for WAY too many swaps on Splitcoast for convention but I couldn't help myself!!!!! heehee!! This one was done for one of my swaps I signed up for on Splitcoast. It is a track 7 6x6 layout swap. I have never scrapped in this size but after doing this swap I am thinking I just might have to do an ablum.

This layout uses Chocolate Chip Cardstock and the Close to Cocoa Prints Designer Series Paper. We were allowed to use any current or retiring items on our layouts which was nice but I am really sad all the Prints Designer Series Paper is retiring!!! I love that paper!!!! The stamp sets are Frames with a Flourish and Hi & Hello. Also used the Chocolate Chip 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon, the Close to Cocoa buttons from the Earth Elements & Neutrals container and Linen Thread. But here I go again with the same color scheme!!!! Oh well I Love it!!!!

Convention Swap #3

This is my third and final swap card for convention. We leave in 8 days!!!!!!! Getting soooooooo excited!!!!!!!! Getting back to the card...do you notice something that all three of my swap cards have in common??? I actually just noticed it now posting this post. All three of them have one color scheme going on. Weird isn't it???? Well I didn't try it but that is how they turned out. I am just HAPPY I have them all done!!!!!

My final cardfront showcases the Jumbo Wheel called Classic Stars and the stamp set called Smarty Pants. I used the Star and Large Star Punches, Real Red Striped Grosgrain Ribbon and Linen Thread.

Convention Swap #2

Here is my second swap I am taking to convention with me in 9 days!!!!!! This one features two stamp sets called Seriously Sassy and A Little Birthday Cheer. I just LOVE this stamp set, Seriously Sassy!!!! I think it is one of those stamp sets that is widely unused. The color scheme is So Saffron and More Mustand. I used the More Mustard Designer Series Prints Paper, Grosgrain Ribbon and Brads. Stay tuned tomorrow to see my third and final cardfront I am taking to convention with me to swap with fellow demonstrators. This is the first time I have made several different cardfronts to swap. I usually only do one but this year I decided to change things up!!!!

Brand New Stamps and Paper!!!

I am in LOVE!!!!! hee hee! No, really I do love these new Stampin' Up! products that are coming out in the new Fall/Winter Catalog on August 11th. Being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator we are eligible to do a preorder on a sneak peak Stampin' Up! gave us this month and boy did I jump on that chance for BRAND NEW STAMPS AND PAPER!!!!! This brand new stamp set is called Wow Flowers, the brand new pattern paper is called Bella Rose and the brand new cardstock and ink is one of the brand new In Colors called Riding Hood Red. The only current products I used on this card is the Whisper White Ribbon and Chocolate Chip Cardstock and Ink.

I actually made this card for a swap I joined in on for Convention. The swap is for brand new products coming out this fall and is on Splitcoast Stampers. I hope all the ladies that are signed up for this swap like my card!!??!!
