Here are the finished art projects I did with my kids last Sunday. I have them all framed and ready to hang in their bathroom. I think they really turned out great and the kids are so proud of them!!!! The last picture is just some left over paper I decided to frame too and hang in their bathroom.

What a lucky girl I am!!!
I got this awesome card in the mail the other day from my good friend, Amy Beckman. It actually brought tears to my eyes. She was just sending me a card to thank me for my friendship. She is such a sweetie!!!!!! Anyway I called her right away to thank her for the card and to tell her I just love it!!!! She used the stamp set called So Much and she said she "CASED" a card off of Splitcoast in the gallery. I think she did a wonderful job!!!!
Neat card

Shhhhh!!!!!
This is going to be a gift for someone but I just wanted to share it with you to see how you like it. This is my first attempt and I think it turned out pretty good. I am using up some old cardboard costers I picked up years ago on sale somewhere, covered them with Bali Breeze Designer Series Paper from the current Spring/Summer Collection and a level 3 hostess stamp set called Time Well Spent. I just love the look our white uni-ball pen gives you on the flower. I stamped the saying on vellum and colored it in with our markers. I think I am going to make up some more of these with different patterns from Bali Breeze and give them as hostess gifts. They are perfect with a magnet attached to the back and a small picture placed on the front. Great refrigerator jewelry!!!!!
I'm back!!!!!
I am feeling much much better today. Thank you to all that wished me well. This flu is one nasty bug and if you can avoid getting it you can count your lucky stars!!!! Now onto some fun with paper and the kids!!!! This picture is my inspiration for a project I saw on one of my good friends blog, Nicole. Take a look at her blog~she is one talented lady!!!!!

Under the weather
The last several days I have been under the weather and today I actually stayed home from work and stayed in bed all day!! I am up just for a little while eating supper and checking my email. I will be off to bed soon and hopefully feeling better tomorrow!! If I am up and around tomorrow I do plan on getting some stuff done in my scrap room so hopefully I will be posting some new stuff tomorrow. Until then take care and stay away from the flu bug!!!!!

DeJa View?????
You might be thinking deja view right?? But I am not losing it and posting the same card twice!!!LOL!!!! I actually found a gift card holder card made by Vicki on her blog and just loved it. Here is a link to the site I got the instructions from. She has a link to
another blog where she found the directions how to make one. I just followed the directions step by step and came up with this. I know I made a card just like this one before but I needed a boy birthday card that I could put a gift card in so I decided to remake my dinosaur card. This time I decided to break out my textured cardstock to use for the card. I just love this textured cardstock but am sad it only comes in assorted packages because now I only have one of my brilliant blue 12x12 pieces left now. I wish Stampin' Up! would put these in individual packages like
they do for the regular cardstock!!! Oh well until they do I guess I will just have to keep buying the assorted packs. All the products I used are listed below in my other post for this same card except I replaced my colored cardstock with the textured cardstock. Have a great day!!!

A Baby Card
Isn't this one cute!!!!! I found this card on Lauren Meader's blog, a fellow Splitcoast Stamper member. She had a tutorial on how to make this baby card so I tried my hand at it *twice*!!!! I just LOVE this!!!!! On both cards I used a new stamp set out of the Sale-A-Bration Mini called So Many Scallops and the new Berry Bliss Designer Series Paper out of the Spring/Summer Catalog. The card is Pretty in Pink. This first card I used stampin' dimensionals on the scallop stamp. I just love this stamp set!!!! It coordinates with Stampin' Up!'s scallop punch perfectly!!!!

A Valentine Card for you
Here is a card I did for the make'n take at a party I had last Friday. Everyone just loved it and were so happy they had their Valentine card all done for Valentine's Day. I used the new stamp set called "Just B" from the Spring/Summer Catalog. I just love this set because it can be used for so many different holidays and occasions. It comes with the big "B" stamp and then all kinds of different words and sayings that go with the "B" stamp. It also has the "bee" stamp and a flower stamp as well. Too cute!!!!! I also broke out the new Berry Bliss Designer Series Paper. This paper is soooo yummy I was almost scared to cut it up!!!LOL!!!!! The ribbon is the Purely Pomegranate double-stitched ribbon which matches one of the colors in this pattern paper. The other two colors in this pattern paper is Pretty in Pink and Close to Cocoa. I hope you enjoyed this card as much as I enjoyed making it!!!

~~BLOG CANDY~~
That's right!! I am offering BLOG CANDY again!!!! I am sooooo excited about hitting 1000 views on my blog that I thought I would offer my visitors some FREE candy!!!! I am giving away all the ribbon in the glass container to the one person who can guess how many yards of ribbon I have in this container. Please leave your guess on this post and on Friday February 8th at noon I will reveil the exact number of yards of ribbon I have in the container. The person that guesses the exact number or closest number without going over will be the new owner of all this ribbon in the container. In case of a tie those names will go in a hat and Jordan will again draw out the winner. Sorry the container will not be included only the ribbon. So now for the guessing game to begin!!!!!!
It's official.....HUGE SUCCESS!!!!!!!
Our Scrapbooking Event on Friday night turned out to be a huge success!!!! We had 40 ladies signed up to come to the event in person and 10 kits we still need to get delivered. Everyone loved it and said they would love to do this again!!!! We already have the next scrapbooking event in the planning stage with only a few changes we are going to make. Since this was our first event of this type it was really a learning experience for us and all in all I think we did a pretty good job!!!! There are only a few things we are going to change if we do a group of this size again at our next scrapbooking event.
At the start of the event we handed out a packet full of the sketches of all the layouts, a list of coordinating Stampin' Up! colors with all the Designer Papers they make and a survey for each one of them to fill out and leave with us when they left for the night. Kelly and I enjoyed reading all the surveys and seeing what everyone liked and didn't like. We got alot of great comments and everyone said they enjoyed themselves. We asked some questions about suggestions for making the event better and what they liked best and least about the event. Here are some of the comments we got:
What they liked
"all the awesome layouts we got"
"sharing all the supplies without investing all the money in duplicates"
"most everything was cut & punched for us!"
"new ideas, quick completed pages"
"I left with 10 pages ready to put pictures on!"
"everything"
"learning new techiques"
"got to sit down instead of move around"
"all the pages for the price, and the idea pages sent home!"
"Girls night out-moms! The pre-cut pieces were great"
"the great girls I sat with!"
"I loved all the layouts and great ideas."
"meeting new people~fun!"
"All the ideas-using new products I had not used before."
"Girlfriend time"
"Getting so much done in one sitting!"
"The variety of layouts"
What they didn't like
"Idol sitting"
"The late hour we got done......glad this was a Fri eve"
"The time between layouts"
"Being rushed at the end"
"Being rushed in the end! I hate that!"
"Sitting so much-wish we would have moved stations some, steps seemed slow & alot of waiting"
"Downtime-don't really know how it can be helped though!"
"waiting"
When asked if they would come back all but one person said they would come back so I consider this a huge success!!!!! Over all everyone wrote they loved it or enjoyed it!!!!! If there are any suggestions out there leave them here!!! We really loved doing this and want to do it again soon so stay tuned for an up and coming scrapbooking event and we are definity having a card event too.
Thanks everyone!!!!!
**Mystery hostess winners were Michelle Meny and Hillory Werner.
Congrats ladies!!!!!!
