We are officially *SOLD OUT*!!!!!!!

Yep our Scrapbooking Event Kelly and I are holding on Friday night starting at 6pm at St Paul's Lutheran Church in Haysville is officially *SOLD OUT*!!!!!!!!!! I know you can not see me right now but I am doing my little happy dance and I am sure Kelly is too. We are so excited that we have had this much interest in this scrapbooking event. We started out thinking we would have about 20 people interested and then it just kept getting bigger and bigger and then we finally had to set a number to make sure we have enough product on hand for everyone. We finally set the number at 50 and I can tell you we hit 50 yesterday!!!!!!! We actually have 45 ladies/young adults coming to the church in person and we have 5 kits we are going to deliver to ladies that could not make it that evening. We are getting so excited for this evening to get here and believe me we have been working very hard on getting everything ready for this event so it all runs smoothly. I will for sure be posting pictures from this event and of all the layouts everyone gets to do. So stay tuned for this information to come soon. But for now I will leave you with some sneak peeks.

Here is a pocket calendar I altered for a hostess gift I gave this week for holding a workshop for me in her home. She really enjoyed receiving it!!!! First I took the plastic cover off the calendar and picked out which papers I wanted to use. This time I chose to use the Ginger Blossom Designer Series Paper. I just love all our new pattern paper this year!!! It is really hard to decide which ones to use.
I then cut the paper to the correct size and used my Anywhere Glue Stick on the reverse side of the paper. I covered the entire back side of the paper with the glue. This is my favorite glue next to my Snail Adhesive!!!

After the book is covered I picked some other pieces to decorate the front of the calendar with and then found a stamp set to use on the front.
I decided on the Embrace Life stamp set for this calendar.
I stamped the rose stamp in Ruby Red ink.
I then decided to use my blender pen and color in the image with the same color ink.
When done I adhered my stamped image on Ruby Red cardstock and put the plastic cover back on. My hostess really enjoyed receiving this pocket calendar for 2008. These make very easy and fast last minute gifts too.
Have a great day!!!

Stay tuned for blog candy!!!!

I have hit a 1,000 views on my blog and I am doing a happy dance right now!!!! I feel this is a great accomplishment since I just started this little Stampin' Up! blog at the first of this year. So stay tuned for some blog candy to be posted (maybe tonight). And I also wanted to give a shout out to all of you that have visited my blog and keep coming back!!!! Thank you!!!

My friend Amy is on a roll!!!!

Here is a mini layout she emailed me today to ask my option on and I just love it!!!! She is really stepping out of her box and doing some great things. Here she used the stamp set So Much. This stamp set is so much fun to use. I love the huge circles used on the background and stamping the flower stamp and cutting them out. Great job Amy!!!!!

She sent it to me this morning to show me how she used one of my cards (see post several down) for inspiration and this is what she came up with. I just love it!!!!! I love that circle stamp set, Simply Circles, Stampin' Up! used to sell before they retired it. That was a sad sad day when that stamp set was retired!!! Amy, your dad will love this card!!!! You did a great job.

A Beautiful Thing......

I just love this new stamp set I got from the new Spring/Summer Collection. I just had to start playing with it as soon as I got it!!!! So far I have shown this card at two of my workshops this month. Everyone seems to like the card and the new stamp set.

All supplies used here are from Stampin' Up!: The card is River Rock. I used Ruby Red and Very Vanilla Cardstock on the front of the card. I stamped two of the images from the A Beautiful Thing stamp set in Ruby Red and Cameo Coral on the Very Vanilla Cardstock. Cameo Coral has not been one of my favorite colors until now!!! I just love it combined with Ruby Red!!!! I stamped the saying in Ruby Red and adhered it with Stampin' Dimensionals. The ribbon is the Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon. It just adds that extra classy look to the card.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!!!

I did some cleaning and will be doing some selling!!

Can you guess what I worked on this weekend? That's right!!!!! My stamp collection. I am downsizing for the first time and need to make room for all my new stamp sets I will be getting from the new Spring/Summer Collection from Stampin' Up! This was and is the hardest thing for me to do!!!!! I just hate to get rid of some of these but like I keep telling myself if I haven't used it for awhile I need to get rid of it. Soooooooooooooo Hard!!!!! Anyway once I get this pile priced I will let you all know what sets they are and the cost so you can be the first ones to get a peak at them!!!!

Well I hope they enjoyed it because it is suppose to melt by tonight (which is the kind of snow I like).

Highlights from my Hostess Day!!!

I had my Hostess Appreciation Day on Saturday January 12th and boy did we have a great time!!!! If you were a past hostess from August 2007 to December 2007 and did not make it to my house this day boy did you miss out!!!!!! I ended up with 19 ladies joining me for a fun filled day of food, a game, contests, a project and prizes, prizes, prizes!!!!!! This first picture is of everyone that made it that day plus me. Thank you ladies for making this day so much fun!!!!!

This is a picture of me sitting with all the prizes that were given out through out the day. The basket on the right is the Grand Prize basket and the basket on the left is filled with little items I gave out through out the day.

This picture is of items you could win if you made a purchase that day. I gave all my past hostesses 20% off that day and everyone there took advantage of this offer!!!! How you could win one of the items pictured here is for every $5 you spent you got a ticket you could put in any of the red bowls that went to the item you are wanting to win. Everyone just loves doing this this way because they can just then pick what item they really want to win and put all their tickets in that bowl.

Here is some of the food we had that day. Everyone got to bring items for us to eat and drink and by doing this they earned extra tickets that went into the Grand Prize Drawing. This really helps me out with cost so I can do so much more for them with Stampin' Up items.

Here is a picture of everyone sitting patiently waiting for me to get started with all the activities that I had planned for them that day. I first had Nicole, Thanks Nicole!!!, pass out the altered coasters I had made them with a 2008 calendar on it. I made it magnetic so they can place it on their refrigerator and always think of me when they see it!!!!!

After going through my goals for myself with Stampin' Up! and giving out some prizes for top party, top number of guests, top number of bookings at a party, farrest away party and the list goes on. We did a game I had planned for them. After seeing the wrapped gifts they all thought it was Christmas again!!!!! I got the idea of this game from one of my close friends, Amy Stamm-Thanks Amy!!!!

I had everyone get in a circle around my pool table and had the three gifts randomly given to someone. I then started up the music and they started passing the gifts around the circle. When I stopped the music who ever had the gift got to upwrap the gift, but there was a catch!!!! The gifts were all wrapped several times and all wrapped a different amount of times!!!! They just loved doing this and seeing how many times a gift went.

The three gifts were finally unwrapped with Dianne Mehringer, Cris Floyd and Elizabeth Brochin winning the gifts. I had wrapped up a small stamp set, a alphabet stamp set and a pretties kit. They each loved them!!!!!!
Then we decided to dive into the food and the project. I planned for them to do the birthday calendar from Stampin' Up! (on page 166). I decorated mine before hand and had everything laying out for them to just copy each of my months. They all loved this idea!!!!!

I also had contests for my hostesses to participate in. They could bring items made out of Stampin' Up! items only. I had three categories: cards, scrapbook layouts and 3-D items. I had a great turn out and it was such a hard decision to make when voting for my favorites. I let everyone vote one time for each category and then we counted the votes. Dianne Mehringer won in the categories for a card and layout. Congrats Dianne!!!!!!

And Lori Fuhrman won in the category for 3-D item. Congrats Lori!!!!!!!!

And after doing the contests we did the drawing for the Grand Prize winners and Amy Beckman was our Grand Prize Winner!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats Amy and enjoy all your goodies!!!!!!!

Chastity Broeker won the third place prize and Dianne Mehringer won the second place prize. Congrats ladies and enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then we did our mystery hostess drawing from all the names of everyone that placed an order that day (which was everyone except my upline and downline that were there). As I stated earlier I gave everyone my discount, tickets for placing an order that day and I also told them that we would do a mystery hostess drawing from all the names of ladies that placed an order that day. They all love getting the chance to receive even more free stuff!!!!!!
My hostess mystery winner was Lavone Mangin. Congrats Lavone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She ended up winning over $150 worth of Stampin' Up! products!!!!!!!

This last picture is of all my winners from the tickets they earned for placing an order. I know everyone is so happy with all their goodies they went home with and I am sure HAPPY to do it!!!!!!!!!!!!! I ended up with a $800 party that day and 8 bookings. I really think it was worth doing it and I soooooooo enjoy having all these ladies as great friends!!!!!!

Until next time which will be when the new catalog comes out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THANK YOU!!!!!!

UGH!!!!!!!!!My internet provider SUCKS!!!!!!!!

I want to apologize to everyone right now for not updating my blog as much as I want to but my internet is down at my house and yesterday it was up and running but it was running at dial up speed instead of the satellite speed I pay for!!!!!!!! I could not get it to upload a picture to my blog for the life of me so I finally called Wildblue last night at 10:00pm and the guy on the phone was real nice and helped me go through some cleaning of my computer and rebooting my modem and computer. We then ran a speed check of my modem and it failed two times while I was on the phone with him. He then suggested I get a virus software downloaded on my computer and scan my computer for virus'. I did this this morning but I can not get connected to my internet to update the new software to even run my virus scan because Wildblue is down!!!!!! I tried calling them and the wait time is over 20 minutes so I called up my backyard neighbor, Michelle Meny, and asked if I could come over and use her so awesome DSL. I am sooooo ordering this DSL as soon as I get home and I am calling Wildblue on Monday to disconnect my service and get out of my contract. You better believe me they will not even want to have met me after I get done with them on Monday!!!!
So I just wanted to explain why I have not been updating. I did update with my Blog Candy winner but I did that here at Michelle's house too. I will be updating tomorrow at work about my hostess day I had on Saturday. I will have lots of pictures too!!! We had such a great time and everyone loved it!!!!! So check back tomorrow for a huge update.

Hostess Appreciation Day

My hostess appreciation day is going to be this Saturday, January 12th, starting at 11:00am at my house. This day is for all my past Stampin' Up! hostess' that have held a workshop or a book party since August 2007 until the end of December 2007. I had my first one in August 2007 for my first set of hostess' and had a blast!!! I decided this time to break it up into two a year since there are two new catalogs a year. So this is my first hostess day for a 6 month period and my next one will be in July 2008 after the new Fall/Winter catalog comes out.
I am sooooooo excited to have these days and to say "Thank You" to all my past hostess'!!!!! I really do pamper my hostess' (if they come to my appreciation day). I have prizes to give out for high party, high number of guests, farest drive for me and so on. I then have lunch for them and this time I am doing a project with them instead of last year I had three make 'n takes for them to do. We play some games, I do a grand prize drawing and then if anyone places an order that day (out of the NEW Spring/Summer catalog) I do a mystery hostess drawing. I have 23 ladies signed up to come so we should have a blast!!!! I will for sure post some pictures from the day and all the winners. Take care and have a great day!!!!!

Don't forget about BLOG CANDY!!!

Don't forget about the FREE Blog Candy that is posted several posts down. I will be drawing a name on Friday to see who the winner is and will post it here.

What a busy weekend!!!

First thing Saturday morning at 7:00am Kaitlyn (my 11 year old) had to be at Jasper High School, which is about a 25 minute drive from our house, for an age group swim meet and Jordan my 5 year old had to be at Dubois High School, which is the local school, at 8:00am for a cheer clinic. My husband had to be at work at 5:00am so I had to make arrangements for Jordan which I did and take Kaitlyn to Jasper. Her session started at 8:00am after warm-ups and then my son, Griffen, swam in the afternoon session which warm-ups started at noon. We were at the school all day and did not get done until 5:30pm!! What a long day!!! But there is more...Jordan had to be at the home basketball game at 6:00pm to get ready to cheer with the high school cheerleaders at halftime of the JV game. I was booking it on the way home from the swim meet and met my husband and Jordan at the game. We watched Jordan cheer then decided to stay and watch the rest of the JV game and then watched the Varsity game. They were great games but the time I got home I was beat!!!! Then I had to do it all over again today, Sunday, except the cheer clinic part!! Jon was off today so he took Kaitlyn in at 7:00am and I stayed home with the other two so we could get some sleep. We got up and went in around 9:30am to watch Kaitlyn in her events and then I stayed with Griffen for his events in the afternoon session. I just love going to swim meets and watching the kids but they always turn out to be such long days!!!! Here is a picture of the Jasper swim pool.

This picture is of Griffen waiting on Kaitlyn's age group to get done so he can get ready to swim. I don't know what we would do without those portable DVD players!!!
Here is a picture of Jordan doing her cheer during the half-time of the basketball game. She is the one in the light blue shorts, isn't she a cutie!!!!!!

Well I hope everyone else had a great weekend!!! I know I did but boy am I tired!!! I promise to share some stamping projects this coming week. So stay tuned.....

This one is from Mary Ashby. She is in my 4th upline's downline. Say that one three times fast!!!LOL!!!! I first met her when I went to my first convention with Stampin' Up! this past July in Denver, CO. What a sweetie she is!!!!!

This one is from my backyard neighbor Michelle Meny. We have lived by each other for years but leave it to Stampin' Up! to bring us together and make us such great friends!!! I don't know why we never met before since we live so close to each other but I am sure glad we have!!!

This one is from Chastity Broeker. I met her through one of my employees, Amy Stamm. She is such a riot and I have had so much fun getting to know her so well and I hope we continue to be great friends!!!

This one is from Dianne Mehringer. I met her through Amy Stamm too!! And what a sweetie she is!!!

This one is from my good friend Amy Beckman. Of course I met her through Stampin' Up! too but also knew her through a local restaurant Jon and I go to quite often in our little neck of the woods. She works there on weekends as a waitress for extra scrapbooking money!!

This one is from one of my new downline, Kelly Birrell. I met her through scrapbooking but knew of her before that because she works with my dad at our local hospital. I am so happy I got to know her and become such great friends with her.

This one is from another of my downline, Jaima Voegerl. I first met her through another one of my downline at the building I work at. I have known her family for awhile now since we live in such a small town. I am so happy we started talking and hit it off!!! Jaima and her husband are expecting their first new little one in just a couple of weeks and we can't wait to have a brand new baby join us when we get together and scrapbook!!!

This one is from a girl I know through an online scrapbook kit club called Bring Your Own Memories. This is such a great kit club and the people are so awesome. I have met so many ladies from all over the world just through their message board.

This one was done by my sister, Hillory Werner. She actually started scrapbooking way before me. Now we actually get together and scrapbook and have a great time!!!

This one was done by Dawn Ferguson. I met her through Amy Beckman and her father owns the restaurant that we go to quite a bit. I am glad we met and have become great friends.
These are just a sampling of all the cards I got for Christmas this year!! I have met so many people just because of Stampin' Up! and have become so close to so many. I am so happy to have the opportunity to meet so many people that share the same interest as me. I love showing everyone things I make or find on the web. Stampin' Up! has really opened up so many doors for me and I am so grateful for that!!!
