Isn't he just the cutest thing ever?? I have been seeing these kinds of cards all over the blogs and Splitcoast so I thought I would try my hand at one. Let me tell you he was so much fun putting together!!! I tried different sized circle punches and finally decided on the size I used for this card and love how it turned out!!!! He uses lots of punches and there is no stamping at all unless you stamp the inside of the card.
I used Blush Blossom Cardstock for the base (skin) of my card and also used Whisper White, Real Red & Basic Black Cardstock.Beard and Tassel on Hat-Scallop Punch
Hair, Eyebrows & Mustache-1" Circle Punch (I cut them in half for the eyebrows & mustache)
Nose, Eyes & Mouth-3/4" Circle Punch (I cut the mouth one in half)
uni-ball Signo Gel Pen for eyes
Many Merry Messages Stamp Set for message on inside of card.
I actually made this card for a group of 17 Preschoolers at Tri-Cap (this is an organization that deals with children that need some extra help and it is funded by the state) to make for their Christmas Card for their parents. I know one of the ladies that works there and this is the second year in a row I have gone there one afternoon to help the children make a Christmas Card. It is such a great experience for me to be able to help these children and watch them have so much fun putting their cards together. They really enjoy it!!! For this card I did have all the pieces punched out for them. They just put the card together, stamped a saying on the inside, wrote their name and then the teacher is going to put a picture of each child in their card so they can give the card to their parents for Christmas and also tell their parents that they got to make the card themselves.
