Nasty Ticks!!!!!!

Have I ever told you how much I HATE bugs???? Well I do!! Since we did not have a bad winter to kill all the bugs for the summer we are having a horrible bug summer!!!! My kids are coming home with ticks everywhere!!! You just walk outside and they attack you!! Well my youngest daughter had two on her last week and we got them off and flushed them and then last night we found one on her head. Well when we got home from Griffen's ballgame I went over them with a fine toothed comb and I noticed the place were the last tick was last week it had a rashy red circle around the bite area. Needless to say I freaked out!!!!! First I called the hospital and they transferred me to the ER and then the ER told me to page my family doc. So I had him paged and he called me back at home and said since she did not have a fever he wanted me to bring her to the hospital in the morning and he would look at her. So this morning I took her to the hospital and an hour and a half later here he comes. He looked at it and is concerned she might have Lime Disease!!!! He ordered blood work but they have to send it off and it will take up to three days to get the results. So since she is not running a fever he is going to wait for the blood work to come back before he starts treatment. So this whole time I am freaking out about it I didn't forget the camera!!!!! I got some good shots of her being a big girl getting her blood taken. Needless to say she got to go to the gift shop in the hospital and pick out a good girl toy. Well I will keep you posted on the results of her blood work.

A baby gift.

Just wanted to share a baby gift I made for my cousin's new baby. We are going up to my grandma's this weekend for her shower. I wanted to give her something she could keep and also keep all the keepsakes in one place. I hope she likes it!!!!!

Vacation

We had a great time on vacation in Virginia Beach!!! The weather was perfect and so much to do there. The kids loved the beach sooo much!!! We split the trip up in two 6-hour trips on the way there but on the way home we just drove the 12-hour trip straight through and the kids did great (alot better than I did when I was younger!!!LOL!!!!). We went to the beach, went on a pirate cruise, toured a lighthouse, went to Colonial Williamsburg, went to the Virginia Aquarium, swam in the hotel pool, walked up and down the strip and YES, I went to a scrapbook store!!! We had tons of fun and spent way too much money!!! Glad to be home though.

A new LO

Well in the midst of everything going on I stopped in at The Doodlebug (our LSS) and they had just got an order in and it was a misorder. They did not know if they were going to keep these chipboard letters that came because they were not what they thought they were going to be. I saw them and said they were awesome!!! One of the owners was in there and told me she would give me one if I would do something with it and bring it back to the store so they could see it and hang it up. But I had to do it before I left town on Friday so I agreed (what was I thinking??!!??). Well I got it done and I really love the LO!!!! I hope they like it.....

Here are some pictures from my new camera. I finally got over the hump of being afraid of my new camera and started using it and now I can't stop!!!LOL!!! The pictures turn out sooooo beautiful!!! Can I say that about pictures of my son??? Well I am not going to say much just enjoy the pictures!!!

An altered box

I made this for a lady here in my building at work. She brought it to me and asked if I would alter it for her son's high school graduation party. She wanted to use it for all the cards people would bring. Here is a photo of before and after. I think it turned out pretty nice--she really liked it and said she got alot of compliments on it at the party.

Let me tell you it has been one crazy month!!!! With graduations, my niece's wedding, school parties, work, ballgames and now we are leaving for vacation tonight. I am one stressed out puppy in need of a week of nothing!!! Well I don't know if I will get that since I am taking my kids and husband on vacation with myself!!!LOL!!! I just better not hear all the way there "are we there yet??"!! I know I will but a person can dream can't she??? Well we are leaving for Virginia Beach tonight after my oldest daughters softball game and do you think I am packed??? He!! no!!! Went to pack this morning before going into to work to tie up some loose endings and we do not have enough suitcases for the whole family!!! Lets just say this is the first full family vacation together in 12 years!!! Can you believe it??? Don't get me wrong we have been on vacations but just not all together. So I don't have enough suitcases for all our stuff we just need to take. So I called my mom and she said we could use their suitcases. Told her that would be a great christmas present this year--set of luggage!!!LOL!!! Well I hope we have a great time and good weather. I am sure I will have tons of photos when I get back to share with everyone. For all the other stuff I had going on. First my son who is six was the ring bearer in his godmothers/cousins wedding May 20th. Lets just say he looked soooo handsome in his tux. I don't have a picture of him here at work (that is where I am updating my blog) but I will post one when I get back. Then we had two graduation parties to go to the following weekend and at the last minute I decided to make them part of their gift. I altered a composition book, bookmark and made a card with money in it. Well after doing this my mom saw the books and bookmarks and wanted me to make three gifts for her!!! Plus a wedding shower recipe book and card and they all had to be done before I leave today. Well I got them done and she loves them.
