I just had to share

what I got for mother's day!!! I just love it, but I have found myself a little scared of it!!!LOL!!! I keep staring at it, but have not used it yet!! I need to just sit down and read the manual and jump right in taking pictures. I am a real lover of film still so the digital part is what scares me alot. I just need to get over it and start taking pictures!!!! As soon as I do I will be sure to post some of my first photos here.

Hand made items....

This is a picture of a recipe book I made for a silent auction the YMCA was having to raise money to help them build their building in Ferdinand. I had alot of fun making this from scratch. I took some chipboard and covered it with pp, punched the holes in it and added the eyelets. I have a recipe stamp I used for the pages on the inside. I added the twill so it can be tied together for easy storage. Now I have a couple of people interested in one so I might be making some more of them next month.





I made these tins for my daughter, Jordan's, preschool teachers. They do such a great job all year long and I wanted to give them something special since the school year is almost over. She just loves to go to school and is always singing songs to herself that she learns at school. I only have one more year at this preschool and then all my children will be in regular school--I am going to miss these ladies soooo much!!!! They really loved the gifts and are always so kind!!

My new finds!!!

Our Wal-Mart redid their scrapbook section and I had to post some pictures of some items I found!!!! I am soooo excited about these finds!!! The flowers with the buttons in the middle are a package of two and only cost 97 cents!!! Can you believe it???? I couldn't. The square stamp block with different flowers on each side was only 97 cents also!!! The foam letter stamps was only $1.97!!! The lacey looking ribbon I believe was around a dollar or two???? Just thought I would post about some of the things I found. Can you tell it doesn't take much to excite me!!!???!!!

This is a LO I did after taking my kids to a field of weeds!!!!LOL!!! I am soooo in the mood for nice weather and I started seeing all the pretty yellow weeds in the fields I decided to stop one day and take some pictures. Needless to say my kids loved it!!! They ran around picking all the weeds and then when we were done they asked if they could take them home and put them in water!! I didn't have the heart to tell them they are just weeds!!!!LOL!!!
